1 C hristian brothers, I want you to know about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You need to understand the truth about this.

4 T here are different kinds of gifts. But it is the same Holy Spirit Who gives them.

5 T here are different kinds of work to be done for Him. But the work is for the same Lord.

Hay diversidad de ministerios, pero el Señor es el mismo.

6 T here are different ways of doing His work. But it is the same God who uses all these ways in all people.

Y hay diversidad de operaciones, pero es el mismo Dios el que hace todas las cosas en todos.

7 T he Holy Spirit works in each person in one way or another for the good of all.

Pero a cada uno se le da la manifestación del Espíritu para el bien común.

8 O ne person is given the gift of teaching words of wisdom. Another person is given the gift of teaching what he has learned and knows. These gifts are by the same Holy Spirit.

Pues a uno le es dada palabra de sabiduría por el Espíritu; a otro, palabra de conocimiento según el mismo Espíritu;

9 O ne person receives the gift of faith. Another person receives the gifts of healing. These gifts are given by the same Holy Spirit.

a otro, fe por el mismo Espíritu; a otro, dones de sanidad por el único Espíritu;

10 O ne person is given the gift of doing powerful works. Another person is given the gift of speaking God’s Word. Another person is given the gift of telling the difference between the Holy Spirit and false spirits. Another person is given the gift of speaking in special sounds. Another person is given the gift of telling what these special sounds mean.

a otro, poder de milagros; a otro, profecía; a otro, discernimiento de espíritus; a otro, diversas clases de lenguas, y a otro, interpretación de lenguas.

11 B ut it is the same Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, Who does all these things. He gives to each person as He wants to give. Our Body Is Like the Body of Christ

Pero todas estas cosas las hace uno y el mismo Espíritu, distribuyendo individualmente a cada uno según Su voluntad. La iglesia, Cuerpo de Cristo

12 O ur own body has many parts. When all these many parts are put together, they are only one body. The body of Christ is like this.

Porque así como el cuerpo es uno, y tiene muchos miembros, pero, todos los miembros del cuerpo, aunque son muchos, constituyen un solo cuerpo, así también es Cristo.

13 I t is the same way with us. Jews or those who are not Jews, men who are owned by someone or men who are free to do what they want to do, have all been baptized into the one body by the same Holy Spirit. We have all received the one Spirit.

Pues por un mismo Espíritu todos fuimos bautizados en un solo cuerpo, ya Judíos o Griegos, ya esclavos o libres. A todos se nos dio a beber del mismo Espíritu.

14 T he body is not one part, but many parts.

Porque el cuerpo no es un solo miembro, sino muchos.

15 I f the foot should say, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that would not stop it from being a part of the body.

Si el pie dijera: “Porque no soy mano, no soy parte del cuerpo,” no por eso deja de ser parte del cuerpo.

16 I f the ear should say, “I am not a part of the body because I am not an eye,” that would not stop it from being a part of the body.

Y si el oído dijera: “Porque no soy ojo, no soy parte del cuerpo,” no por eso deja de ser parte del cuerpo.

17 I f the whole body were an eye how would it hear? If the whole body were an ear, how would it smell?

Si todo el cuerpo fuera ojo, ¿qué sería del oído? Si todo fuera oído, ¿qué sería del olfato?

18 B ut God has put all the parts into the body just as He wants to have them.

Ahora bien, Dios ha colocado a cada uno de los miembros en el cuerpo según Le agradó.

19 I f all the parts were the same, it could not be a body.

Y si todos fueran un solo miembro, ¿qué sería del cuerpo?

20 B ut now there are many parts, but one body.

Sin embargo, hay muchos miembros, pero un solo cuerpo.

21 T he eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you.” Or the head cannot say to the feet, “I do not need you.”

Y el ojo no puede decirle a la mano: “No te necesito;” ni tampoco la cabeza a los pies: “No los necesito.”

22 S ome of the parts we think are weak and not important are very important.

Por el contrario, la verdad es que los miembros del cuerpo que parecen ser los más débiles, son los más necesarios;

23 W e take good care of and cover with clothes the parts of the body that look less important. The parts which do not look beautiful have an important work to do.

y las partes del cuerpo que estimamos menos honrosas, a éstas las vestimos con más honra. Así que las partes que consideramos más íntimas, reciben un trato más honroso,

24 T he parts that can be seen do not need as much care. God has made the body so more care is given to the parts that need it most.

ya que nuestras partes presentables no lo necesitan. Pero así formó Dios el cuerpo, dando mayor honra a la parte que carecía de ella,

25 T his is so the body will not be divided into parts. All the parts care for each other.

a fin de que en el cuerpo no haya división, sino que los miembros tengan el mismo cuidado unos por otros.

26 I f one part of the body suffers, all the other parts suffer with it. If one part is given special care, the other parts are happy. The Body of Christ

Si un miembro sufre, todos los miembros sufren con él; y si un miembro es honrado, todos los miembros se regocijan con él.

27 Y ou are all a part of the body of Christ.

Ahora bien, ustedes son el cuerpo de Cristo, y cada uno individualmente un miembro de él.

28 G od has chosen different ones in the church to do His work. First, there are missionaries. Second, there are preachers or those who speak for God. And third, there are teachers. He has also chosen those who do powerful works and those who have the gifts of healing. And He has chosen those who help others who are in need and those who are able to lead others in work and those who speak in special sounds.

Y en la iglesia, Dios ha designado primeramente, apóstoles; en segundo lugar, profetas; en tercer lugar, maestros; luego, milagros; después, dones de sanidad, ayudas, administraciones, diversas clases de lenguas.

29 A re they all missionaries? No. Are they all preachers or those who speak for God? No. Do they all do powerful works? No.

¿Acaso son todos apóstoles? ¿Acaso son todos profetas? ¿Acaso son todos maestros? ¿Acaso son todos obradores de milagros ?

30 D o they all have the gifts of healing? No. Do they all speak in special sounds? No. Are they all able to tell what the special sounds mean? No.

¿Acaso tienen todos dones de sanidad ? ¿Acaso hablan todos en lenguas? ¿Acaso interpretan todos ?

31 B ut from your heart you should want the best gifts. Now I will show you even a better way.
