1 “ Take from among the people of Israel your brother Aaron and his sons, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, to work for Me as religious leaders.

“Entonces harás que se acerque a ti, de entre los Israelitas, tu hermano Aarón, y con él sus hijos, para que Me sirva como sacerdote: Aarón, con Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar, hijos de Aarón.

2 M ake holy clothing for your brother Aaron, for honor and for beauty.

Harás vestiduras sagradas para tu hermano Aarón, para gloria y hermosura.

3 T ell all the able workmen, whom I have given the spirit of wisdom, to make Aaron’s clothing to set him apart for My work. He will work for Me as a religious leader.

Hablarás a todos los hábiles artífices, a quienes Yo he llenado de espíritu de sabiduría, y ellos harán las vestiduras de Aarón para consagrarlo, a fin de que Me sirva como sacerdote.

4 T hese are the clothes they will make: A breast-piece, a linen vest, a long piece of clothing, a long coat, a head-covering, and a wide belt. They will make holy clothing for your brother Aaron and his sons to work for Me as religious leaders.

Estas son las vestiduras que harán: un pectoral, un efod, un manto, una túnica tejida a cuadros, una tiara y un cinturón. Harán vestiduras sagradas para tu hermano Aarón y para sus hijos, a fin de que Me sirvan como sacerdotes.

5 T hey will use gold and blue and purple and red cloth and fine linen. The Linen Vest

Tomarán para ello el oro y la tela azul, púrpura y escarlata, y el lino fino.

6 “ They will use gold and blue, purple and red cloth and fine linen to make the linen vest that holds the breast-piece. It will be the work of the able workman.

“ Harán también el efod de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido, obra de hábil artífice.

7 I t will have two shoulder pieces to join it at the two ends.

Tendrá dos hombreras que se junten a sus dos extremos, para que se pueda unir.

8 T he well-made belt on it will be made of the same gold and blue, purple and red cloth and fine linen.

El cinto hábilmente tejido que estará sobre él, será de la misma obra, del mismo material: de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido.

9 T ake two onyx stones and cut on them the names of Israel’s sons.

“Tomarás dos piedras de ónice y grabarás en ellas los nombres de los (doce) hijos de Israel:

10 P ut six of their names on one stone, and the six names of the others on the other stone, from the oldest to the youngest.

seis de los nombres en una piedra y los seis nombres restantes en la otra piedra, según el orden de su nacimiento.

11 A s an able workman cuts words in a ring, cut the names of Israel’s sons on the two stones. Then set them into beautiful pieces of gold.

Así como un joyero graba un sello, tú grabarás las dos piedras con los nombres de los (doce) hijos de Israel. Las engastarás en filigrana de oro.

12 P ut the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the linen vest, as stones for the family groups of Israel to be remembered. Aaron will carry their names on his two shoulders before the Lord, to be remembered.

Pondrás las dos piedras en las hombreras del efod, como piedras memoriales para los hijos de Israel, y Aarón llevará sus nombres delante del Señor sobre sus dos hombros por memorial.

13 M ake beautiful pieces of gold

Harás engastes de filigrana de oro,

14 a nd two chains of pure gold. Make them like ropes are made. And put the chains on the pieces of gold. The Breast-Piece

y dos cadenillas de oro puro. Las harás en forma de cordones trenzados, y pondrás las cadenillas trenzadas en los engastes de filigrana.

15 “ Make a breast-piece to be used when judging. It is to be made by an able workman. Make it like the work of the linen vest, of gold, and blue, purple and red cloth and fine linen.

“ Harás el pectoral del juicio, obra de hábil artífice. Lo harás como la obra del efod: de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido lo harás.

16 I t will be as long as it is wide, with one half laid over the other. Make it as long and as wide as a man’s fingers can spread.

Será cuadrado y doble, de un palmo de largo y un palmo de ancho.

17 P ut four straight rows of stones on it. The first row will be a ruby, a topaz and an emerald.

Montarás en él cuatro hileras de piedras. La primera hilera será una hilera de un rubí, un topacio y una esmeralda;

18 T he second row will be a turquoise, a sapphire and a diamond.

la segunda hilera, una turquesa, un zafiro y un diamante;

19 T he third row will be a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst.

la tercera hilera, un jacinto, una ágata y una amatista;

20 A nd the fourth row will be a beryl, an onyx and a jasper. They will be set in beautiful pieces of gold.

21 T here will be twelve stones, one for each name of the sons of Israel. The name of each family group will be cut on one of these special stones.

Las piedras serán doce, según los nombres de los hijos de Israel, conforme a sus nombres. Serán como las grabaduras de un sello, cada uno según su nombre para las doce tribus.

22 M ake chains for the breast-piece, like ropes of pure gold.

“Harás en el pectoral cadenillas de oro puro en forma de cordones trenzados.

23 A nd make two rings of gold and put them on the two ends of the breast-piece.

Harás también en el pectoral dos anillos de oro, y colocarás los dos anillos en los dos extremos del pectoral.

24 J oin the two gold chains to the two rings at the ends of the breast-piece.

Pondrás los dos cordones de oro en los dos anillos en los extremos del pectoral.

25 J oin the other two ends of the two chains to the beautiful gold pieces that hold the two stones at the shoulders in the front.

Y colocarás los otros dos extremos de los dos cordones en los engastes de filigrana, y los fijarás en las hombreras del efod, en su parte delantera.

26 M ake two rings of gold to put on the two ends of the breast-piece, on the inside, next to the linen vest.

“Harás otros dos anillos de oro y los pondrás en los dos extremos del pectoral, en el borde que da al lado interior del efod.

27 T hen make two rings of gold and put them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the linen vest in front, near where they join. They will be above the well-made belt of the linen vest.

También harás otros dos anillos de oro y los pondrás en la parte inferior de las dos hombreras del efod, en la parte delantera, cerca de su unión sobre el cinto tejido del efod.

28 T ie the rings of the breast-piece to the rings of the linen vest with a blue rope so the breast-piece may not come loose from the linen vest.

Atarán el pectoral por sus anillos a los anillos del efod con un cordón azul, para que esté sobre el cinto tejido del efod, y para que el pectoral no se desprenda del efod.

29 “ Aaron will carry the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breast-piece of judging when he goes in the holy place, so they will be remembered before the Lord all the time. Other Religious Leaders’ Clothes

“Aarón llevará los nombres de los hijos de Israel en el pectoral del juicio sobre su corazón cuando entre en el lugar santo, continuamente por memorial delante del Señor.

30 “ Put the Urim and the Thummim into the breast-piece over Aaron’s heart when he goes before the Lord. Aaron will carry the judging of the people of Israel over his heart before the Lord all the time.

Pondrás en el pectoral del juicio el Urim y el Tumim (las Luces y las Perfecciones), y estarán sobre el corazón de Aarón cuando entre a la presencia del Señor. Aarón llevará continuamente el juicio de los Israelitas sobre su corazón delante del Señor.

31 “ Make the long piece of clothing all of blue.

“ Harás asimismo el manto del efod todo de tela azul.

32 T here will be an opening at its top in the center. Around the opening it will be sewed like the opening on heavy battle clothes, so it may not be torn.

Habrá una abertura en el medio de su parte superior. Alrededor de la abertura habrá una orla tejida, como la abertura de una cota de malla, para que no se rompa.

33 M ake pomegranates of blue and purple and red cloth to put all around the bottom of this clothing. And put bells of gold between them.

“En su borde inferior harás granadas de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata alrededor en todo su borde, y entre ellas, también alrededor, campanillas de oro:

34 P ut a gold bell and a pomegranate, then a gold bell and a pomegranate, all the way around the bottom of this clothing.

una campanilla de oro y una granada, otra campanilla de oro y otra granada, y así alrededor de todo el borde del manto.

35 A aron will wear it when he serves Me. The sound of the bells will be heard when he goes in the holy place and when he comes out so that he will not die.

Estará sobre Aarón cuando ministre. Y el tintineo se oirá cuando entre en el lugar santo delante del Señor y cuando salga, para que no muera.

36 “ Make a plate of pure gold and write on it, ‘Holy to the Lord.’

“ Harás también una lámina de oro puro, y grabarás en ella, como las grabaduras de un sello: ‘ Santidad (Consagrado) al Señor.’

37 P ut it to the front of the head covering with a blue rope.

La fijarás en un cordón azul, y estará sobre la tiara. Estará en la parte delantera de la tiara.

38 I t will be on Aaron’s forehead. Aaron will take away the sin of the holy things which the people of Israel set apart for the Lord as their holy gifts. It will always be on his forehead, so they may be received by the Lord.

Y estará sobre la frente de Aarón, y Aarón quitará la iniquidad de las cosas sagradas que los Israelitas consagren en todas sus ofrendas santas. La lámina estará siempre sobre su frente, para que sean aceptas delante del Señor.

39 M ake the long coat of fine linen, a head covering of fine linen, and a wide belt, the work of an able workman.

Tejerás a cuadros la túnica de lino fino, y harás una tiara de lino fino. Harás también un cinturón, obra de un tejedor.

40 “ Make long coats for Aaron’s sons. And make belts and head coverings for them, for honor and for beauty.

“Para los hijos de Aarón harás túnicas, también les harás cinturones, y les harás mitras, para gloria y hermosura.

41 D ress your brother Aaron and his sons in them. Then pour oil on them, set them apart and make them holy, so they may serve Me as religious leaders.

Y vestirás con ellos a tu hermano Aarón y a sus hijos con él. Los ungirás y ordenarás y consagrarás para que Me sirvan como sacerdotes.

42 M ake for them linen clothing to cover their flesh from their belts to their legs.

Les harás calzoncillos de lino para cubrir su desnudez. Llegarán desde los lomos hasta los muslos.

43 A aron and his sons will wear them when they go into the meeting tent, or when they go near the altar to serve in the holy place. Then they will not be guilty and die. It will be a law for him and for his children forever.

Y Aarón y sus hijos los llevarán puestos cuando entren en la tienda de reunión, o cuando se acerquen al altar para ministrar en el lugar santo, para que no incurran en culpa y mueran. Será estatuto perpetuo para él y para su descendencia después de él.
