2 D o not forget to be kind to strangers and let them stay in your home. Some people have had angels in their homes without knowing it.

No se olviden de mostrar hospitalidad, porque por ella algunos, sin saberlo, hospedaron ángeles.

3 R emember those in prison. Think of them as if you were in prison with them. Remember those who are suffering because of what others have done to them. You may suffer in the same way.

Acuérdense de los presos, como si estuvieran presos con ellos, y de los maltratados, puesto que también ustedes están en el cuerpo.

4 M arriage should be respected by everyone. God will punish those who do sex sins and are not faithful in marriage.

Sea el matrimonio honroso en todos, y el lecho matrimonial sin deshonra, porque a los inmorales y a los adúlteros los juzgará Dios.

5 K eep your lives free from the love of money. Be happy with what you have. God has said, “I will never leave you or let you be alone.”

Sea el carácter de ustedes sin avaricia, contentos con lo que tienen, porque El mismo ha dicho: “ Nunca te dejare ni te desamparare,”

6 S o we can say for sure, “The Lord is my Helper. I am not afraid of anything man can do to me.”

de manera que decimos confiadamente: “ El Señor es el que me ayuda; no temere. ¿ Que podra hacerme el hombre ?”

7 R emember your leaders who first spoke God’s Word to you. Think of how they lived, and trust God as they did.

Acuérdense de sus guías que les hablaron la palabra de Dios, y considerando el resultado de su conducta, imiten su fe.

8 J esus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Jesucristo es el mismo ayer y hoy y por los siglos.

9 D o not let the many strange teachings lead you in the wrong way. Our hearts are made strong by God’s loving-favor. Food does not make our hearts strong. Those who obey laws about eating certain foods are not helped by them.

No se dejen llevar por doctrinas (enseñanzas) diversas y extrañas. Porque es buena cosa para el corazón el ser fortalecido por la gracia, no por alimentos, de los que no recibieron beneficio los que de ellos se ocupaban.

10 W e have an altar from which those who work in the place of worship have no right to eat.

Nosotros tenemos un altar del cual no tienen derecho a comer los que sirven en el tabernáculo.

11 T he head religious leader takes the blood of animals into the holy place to give it on the altar for sins. But the bodies of the animals are burned outside the city.

Porque los cuerpos de aquellos animales, cuya sangre es llevada al santuario por el sumo sacerdote como ofrenda por el pecado, son quemados fuera del campamento.

12 I t was the same with Jesus. He suffered and died outside the city so His blood would make the people clean from sin.

Por lo cual también Jesús, para santificar al pueblo mediante Su propia sangre, padeció fuera de la puerta.

13 S o let us go to Him outside the city to share His shame.

Así pues, salgamos a Su encuentro fuera del campamento, llevando Su oprobio.

14 F or there is no city here on earth that will last forever. We are looking for the one that is coming.

Porque no tenemos aquí una ciudad permanente, sino que buscamos la que está por venir.

15 L et us give thanks all the time to God through Jesus Christ. Our gift to Him is to give thanks. Our lips should always give thanks to His name.

Por tanto, ofrezcamos continuamente mediante El, sacrificio de alabanza a Dios, es decir, el fruto de labios que confiesan (alaban) Su nombre.

16 R emember to do good and help each other. Gifts like this please God.

Y no se olviden ustedes de hacer el bien y de la ayuda mutua (compartir), porque de tales sacrificios se agrada Dios.

17 O bey your leaders and do what they say. They keep watch over your souls. They have to tell God what they have done. They should have joy in this and not be sad. If they are sad, it is no help to you.

Obedezcan a sus pastores (guías) y sujétense a ellos, porque ellos velan por sus almas, como quienes han de dar cuenta. Permítanles que lo hagan con alegría y no quejándose, porque eso no sería provechoso para ustedes. Bendición y Saludos Finales

18 P ray for us. Our hearts tell us we are right. We want to do the right thing always.

Oren por nosotros, pues confiamos en que tenemos una buena conciencia, deseando conducirnos honradamente (bien) en todo.

19 P ray for me all the more so that I will be able to come to you soon.

Es más, les exhorto a hacer esto, a fin de que yo les sea restituido muy pronto.

20 G od is a God of peace. He raised our Lord Jesus from the dead. Jesus is the Good Shepherd of the sheep. His blood made the New Way of Worship which will last forever.

Y el Dios de paz, que resucitó de entre los muertos a Jesús nuestro Señor, el gran Pastor de las ovejas mediante la sangre del pacto eterno,

21 M ay God give you every good thing you need so you can do what He wants. May He do in us what pleases Him through Jesus Christ. May Christ have all the shining-greatness forever! Let it be so.

los haga aptos en toda obra buena para hacer Su voluntad, obrando El en nosotros lo que es agradable delante de El mediante Jesucristo, a quien sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

22 C hristian brothers, I beg of you to listen to these words that will help you. This has been a short letter.

Les ruego, hermanos, que soporten la palabra de exhortación, pues les he escrito brevemente.

23 I want you to know that Timothy is out of prison. If he comes soon, I will bring him with me when I come to see you.

Sepan que nuestro hermano Timoteo ha sido puesto en libertad, con el cual, si viene pronto, he de verlos.

24 G reet all of your leaders and to all those who belong to Christ. The Christians from the country of Italy greet you.

Saluden a todos sus pastores (guías) y a todos los santos. Los de Italia los saludan.

25 M ay all of you have God’s loving-favor. Let it be so.
