1 “ Take from among the people of Israel your brother Aaron and his sons, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, to work for Me as religious leaders.

¶ Harás que se acerquen a ti a Aarón tu hermano, y a sus hijos consigo, de entre los hijos de Israel, para que sean mis sacerdotes; a Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar, hijos de Aarón.

2 M ake holy clothing for your brother Aaron, for honor and for beauty.

Y harás vestidos santos para Aarón tu hermano, para honra y hermosura.

3 T ell all the able workmen, whom I have given the spirit of wisdom, to make Aaron’s clothing to set him apart for My work. He will work for Me as a religious leader.

Y tú hablarás a todos los sabios de corazón, a quienes yo he llenado de Espíritu de sabiduría; para que hagan los vestidos de Aarón, para santificarle para que sea mi sacerdote.

4 T hese are the clothes they will make: A breast-piece, a linen vest, a long piece of clothing, a long coat, a head-covering, and a wide belt. They will make holy clothing for your brother Aaron and his sons to work for Me as religious leaders.

Los vestidos que harán serán estos: el pectoral, el efod, el manto, la túnica bordada, la mitra, y el cinturón. Hagan, pues, los santos vestidos a Aarón tu hermano, y a sus hijos, para que sean mis sacerdotes.

5 T hey will use gold and blue and purple and red cloth and fine linen. The Linen Vest

¶ Los cuales tomarán oro, y cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino fino,

6 “ They will use gold and blue, purple and red cloth and fine linen to make the linen vest that holds the breast-piece. It will be the work of the able workman.

y harán el efod de oro y cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido de obra de bordador.

7 I t will have two shoulder pieces to join it at the two ends.

Tendrá dos hombreras que se junten a sus dos lados, y así se juntará.

8 T he well-made belt on it will be made of the same gold and blue, purple and red cloth and fine linen.

Y el artificio del cinto especial que estará sobre el efod, será de su misma obra, de lo mismo; de oro, cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido.

9 T ake two onyx stones and cut on them the names of Israel’s sons.

Y tomarás dos piedras de ónice, y grabarás en ellas los nombres de los hijos de Israel:

10 P ut six of their names on one stone, and the six names of the others on the other stone, from the oldest to the youngest.

Los seis nombres en una piedra, y los otros seis nombres en la otra piedra, conforme al nacimiento de ellos.

11 A s an able workman cuts words in a ring, cut the names of Israel’s sons on the two stones. Then set them into beautiful pieces of gold.

De obra de grabador en piedra a modo de grabaduras de sello, harás grabar aquellas dos piedras con los nombres de los hijos de Israel; les obrarás para ser colocados en engastes de oro.

12 P ut the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the linen vest, as stones for the family groups of Israel to be remembered. Aaron will carry their names on his two shoulders before the Lord, to be remembered.

Y pondrás aquellas dos piedras sobre los hombros del efod, serán piedras de memoria a los hijos de Israel; y Aarón llevará los nombres de ellos delante del SEÑOR en sus dos hombros por memoria.

13 M ake beautiful pieces of gold

Y harás los engastes de oro,

14 a nd two chains of pure gold. Make them like ropes are made. And put the chains on the pieces of gold. The Breast-Piece

y dos cadenillas de oro fino; las cuales harás de hechura de trenza; y fijarás las cadenas de hechura de trenza en los engastes.

15 “ Make a breast-piece to be used when judging. It is to be made by an able workman. Make it like the work of the linen vest, of gold, and blue, purple and red cloth and fine linen.

¶ Harás asimismo el pectoral del juicio de primorosa obra, le has de hacer conforme a la obra del efod, de oro, y cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido.

16 I t will be as long as it is wide, with one half laid over the other. Make it as long and as wide as a man’s fingers can spread.

Será cuadrado y doble, de un palmo de largo y un palmo de ancho;

17 P ut four straight rows of stones on it. The first row will be a ruby, a topaz and an emerald.

y lo llenarás de pedrería con cuatro órdenes de piedras. El orden: un rubí, una esmeralda, y una crisólita, será el primer orden;

18 T he second row will be a turquoise, a sapphire and a diamond.

El segundo orden, un carbunclo, un zafiro, y un diamante;

19 T he third row will be a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst.

el tercer orden, un topacio, una turquesa, y una amatista;

20 A nd the fourth row will be a beryl, an onyx and a jasper. They will be set in beautiful pieces of gold.

y el cuarto orden, un tarsis (o berilo), un ónice, y un jaspe; estarán engastadas en oro en sus encajes.

21 T here will be twelve stones, one for each name of the sons of Israel. The name of each family group will be cut on one of these special stones.

Y serán aquellas piedras según los nombres de los hijos de Israel, doce según sus nombres; como grabaduras de sello cada una según su nombre, serán a las doce tribus.

22 M ake chains for the breast-piece, like ropes of pure gold.

Harás también en el pectoral cadenetas de hechura de trenzas de oro fino.

23 A nd make two rings of gold and put them on the two ends of the breast-piece.

Y harás en el pectoral dos anillos de oro, los cuales pondrás a los dos extremos del pectoral.

24 J oin the two gold chains to the two rings at the ends of the breast-piece.

Y pondrás las dos trenzas de oro en los dos anillos a los dos extremos del pectoral;

25 J oin the other two ends of the two chains to the beautiful gold pieces that hold the two stones at the shoulders in the front.

y pondrás los dos extremos de las dos trenzas sobre los dos engastes, y las pondrás a los lados del efod en la parte delantera.

26 M ake two rings of gold to put on the two ends of the breast-piece, on the inside, next to the linen vest.

Harás también dos anillos de oro, los cuales pondrás a los dos extremos del pectoral, en su orilla que está al lado del efod de la parte de adentro.

27 T hen make two rings of gold and put them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the linen vest in front, near where they join. They will be above the well-made belt of the linen vest.

Harás asimismo dos anillos de oro, los cuales pondrás a los dos lados del efod abajo en la parte delantera, delante de su juntura sobre el cinto especial del efod.

28 T ie the rings of the breast-piece to the rings of the linen vest with a blue rope so the breast-piece may not come loose from the linen vest.

Y juntarán el pectoral con sus anillos a los anillos del efod con un cordón de cárdeno, para que esté sobre el cinto especial del efod, y no se aparte el pectoral del efod.

29 “ Aaron will carry the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breast-piece of judging when he goes in the holy place, so they will be remembered before the Lord all the time. Other Religious Leaders’ Clothes

Y llevará Aarón los nombres de los hijos de Israel en el pectoral del juicio sobre su corazón, cuando entrare en el santuario, en memoria delante del SEÑOR continuamente.

30 “ Put the Urim and the Thummim into the breast-piece over Aaron’s heart when he goes before the Lord. Aaron will carry the judging of the people of Israel over his heart before the Lord all the time.

Y pondrás en el pectoral del juicio Urim y Tumim, para que estén sobre el corazón de Aarón cuando entrare delante del SEÑOR; y llevará siempre Aarón el juicio de los hijos de Israel sobre su corazón delante del SEÑOR.

31 “ Make the long piece of clothing all of blue.

¶ Harás el manto del efod todo de cárdeno.

32 T here will be an opening at its top in the center. Around the opening it will be sewed like the opening on heavy battle clothes, so it may not be torn.

Y tendrá el collar de su cabeza en medio de él, el cual tendrá un borde alrededor de obra de tejedor, como un collar de un coselete, para que no se rompa.

33 M ake pomegranates of blue and purple and red cloth to put all around the bottom of this clothing. And put bells of gold between them.

Y harás en sus orlas granadas de cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, por sus orlas alrededor; y entre ellas campanillas de oro alrededor.

34 P ut a gold bell and a pomegranate, then a gold bell and a pomegranate, all the way around the bottom of this clothing.

Una campanilla de oro y una granada, otra campanilla de oro y otra granada, por las orlas del manto alrededor.

35 A aron will wear it when he serves Me. The sound of the bells will be heard when he goes in the holy place and when he comes out so that he will not die.

Y estará sobre Aarón cuando ministrare; y se oirá su sonido cuando él entrare en el santuario delante del SEÑOR y cuando saliere; para que no muera.

36 “ Make a plate of pure gold and write on it, ‘Holy to the Lord.’

Harás además una flor abierta de oro fino, y grabarás en ella grabadura de sello, SANTIDAD AL SEÑOR.

37 P ut it to the front of the head covering with a blue rope.

Y la pondrás con un cordón cárdeno, y estará sobre la mitra; por la parte delantera de la mitra estará.

38 I t will be on Aaron’s forehead. Aaron will take away the sin of the holy things which the people of Israel set apart for the Lord as their holy gifts. It will always be on his forehead, so they may be received by the Lord.

Y estará sobre la frente de Aarón; y Aarón llevará la iniquidad de las santificaciones, que los hijos de Israel santificaren en todas las ofrendas de sus santificaciones; y sobre su frente estará continuamente para que hallen gracia delante del SEÑOR.

39 M ake the long coat of fine linen, a head covering of fine linen, and a wide belt, the work of an able workman.

Y bordarás la túnica de lino, y harás la mitra de lino; harás también el cinto de obra de recamador.

40 “ Make long coats for Aaron’s sons. And make belts and head coverings for them, for honor and for beauty.

¶ Y para los hijos de Aarón harás túnicas; también les harás cintos, y les formarás chapeos tiaras para honra y hermosura.

41 D ress your brother Aaron and his sons in them. Then pour oil on them, set them apart and make them holy, so they may serve Me as religious leaders.

Y con ellos vestirás a Aarón tu hermano, y a sus hijos con él; y los ungirás, y llenarás sus manos, y los santificarás, para que sean mis sacerdotes.

42 M ake for them linen clothing to cover their flesh from their belts to their legs.

Y les harás calzoncillos de lino para cubrir la carne vergonzosa; serán desde los lomos hasta los muslos:

43 A aron and his sons will wear them when they go into the meeting tent, or when they go near the altar to serve in the holy place. Then they will not be guilty and die. It will be a law for him and for his children forever.

Y estarán sobre Aarón y sobre sus hijos cuando entraren en el tabernáculo del testimonio, o cuando se acerquen al altar para servir en el santuario, para que no lleven iniquidad, y mueran. Estatuto perpetuo para él, y para su simiente después de él.
