1 T he Lord spoke to Moses after the death of Aaron’s two sons, when they had come near the Lord and died.

¶ Y habló el SEÑOR a Moisés, después que murieron los dos hijos de Aarón, cuando se acercaron delante del SEÑOR, y murieron;

2 T he Lord said to Moses, “Tell your brother Aaron that he must not come just any time into the holy place inside the curtain, in front of the mercy-seat on the special box of the agreement or he will die. For I will show Myself in the cloud over the mercy-seat.

y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Di a Aarón tu hermano, que no entre en todo tiempo en el santuario del velo adentro, delante del asiento de la reconciliación que está sobre el arca, para que no muera; porque yo apareceré en la nube sobre el asiento de la reconciliación.

3 O nly this way will Aaron go into the holy place, with a bull for a sin gift and a ram for a burnt gift.

Con esto entrará Aarón en el santuario: con un novillo como el pecado, y un carnero como holocausto.

4 H e will put on the holy linen coat. And the linen under-clothing will be next to his body. He will be wearing the linen belt and the linen head-covering. These are holy clothing. He will wash his body in water and then dress himself.

La túnica santa de lino se vestirá, y sobre su carne tendrá calzoncillos de lino, y se ceñirá el cinto de lino; y con la mitra de lino se cubrirá. Son santos vestidos; y lavará su carne con agua, y las vestirá.

5 H e will take from the people of Israel two male goats for a sin gift and one ram for a burnt gift.

¶ Y de la congregación de los hijos de Israel tomará dos machos cabríos como el pecado, y un carnero como holocausto.

6 T hen Aaron will give the bull as a sin gift for himself, to pay for the sins of himself and those in his house.

Y hará traer Aarón el novillo de su pecado, que era suyo, y hará la reconciliación por sí y por su casa.

7 H e will take the two goats and set them before the Lord at the door of the meeting tent.

Después tomará los dos machos cabríos, y los presentará delante del SEÑOR a la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio.

8 A aron will draw names for the two goats, choosing one for the Lord and the other to be sent away.

Y echará suertes Aarón sobre los dos machos cabríos; una suerte por el SEÑOR, y la otra suerte por Azazel.

9 T hen Aaron will bring the goat that was chosen for the Lord and give it as a sin gift.

Y hará traer Aarón el macho cabrío sobre el cual cayere la suerte por el SEÑOR, y lo ofrecerá como el pecado.

10 B ut the goat that was chosen to be sent away will be brought alive before the Lord, for the taking away of sin. And it will be sent into the desert.

Mas el macho cabrío, sobre el cual cayere la suerte por Azazel, lo presentará vivo delante del SEÑOR, para hacer la reconciliación sobre él, para enviarlo a Azazel al desierto.

11 “ Then Aaron will give the bull as the sin gift for himself, to pay for the sins of himself and those in his house. He will kill the bull as the sin gift for himself.

Y hará llegar Aarón el novillo de su propio pecado, y hará la reconciliación por sí y por su casa, y degollará el novillo de su pecado.

12 H e will take a fire pan full of fire from the altar before the Lord, and enough fine, ground, sweet perfume to fill two hands. And he will bring it inside the curtain.

Después tomará el incensario lleno de brasas de fuego, del altar de delante del SEÑOR, y sus puños llenos del incienso aromático molido, y lo llevará detrás del velo adentro.

13 H e will put the special perfume on the fire before the Lord so that the cloud of the special perfume covers the mercy-seat on the special box of the agreement or he will die.

Y pondrá el incienso sobre el fuego delante del SEÑOR, y la nube del incienso cubrirá el asiento de la reconciliación que está sobre el testimonio, y no morirá.

14 H e will take some of the bull’s blood and put it with his finger on the east side of the mercy-seat. And with his finger he will put some of the blood seven times in front of the mercy-seat.

Tomará luego de la sangre del novillo, y rociará con su dedo hacia el asiento de la reconciliación hacia el oriente; hacia el asiento de la reconciliación esparcirá de aquella sangre siete veces con su dedo.

15 “ Then he will kill the goat as the sin gift for the people. He will bring its blood inside the curtain, and do the same with its blood as he did with the bull’s blood. He will put it on the seat and in front of the mercy-seat.

¶ Después degollará el macho cabrío del pecado del pueblo y meterá la sangre de él del velo adentro; y hará de su sangre, como hizo de la sangre del novillo, y esparcirá sobre el asiento de la reconciliación y delante del asiento de la reconciliación;

16 H e will make the holy place, and also the meeting tent which is in the center of the camp, clean and pure because all the sins of the people make them unclean.

y limpiará el santuario, de las inmundicias de los hijos de Israel, y de sus rebeliones, y de todos sus pecados: de la misma manera hará también al tabernáculo del testimonio, el cual mora entre ellos, en medio de sus inmundicias.

17 W hen he goes in to pay for sins in the holy place, no one will be in the meeting tent until he comes out. He will pay for the sins of himself, of those in his house, and of all the people of Israel.

Y ningún hombre estará en el tabernáculo del testimonio cuando él entrare a hacer la reconciliación en el santuario, hasta que él salga, y haya hecho la reconciliación por sí, y por su casa, y por toda la congregación de Israel.

18 T hen he will go out to the altar before the Lord and make it clean and pure. He will take some of the bull’s blood and goat’s blood and put it on the horns of the altar on all sides.

Y saldrá al altar que está delante del SEÑOR, y lo reconciliará; y tomará de la sangre del novillo, y de la sangre del macho cabrío, y pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar alrededor.

19 W ith his finger he will put some of the blood on the altar seven times so it will be clean. He will set it apart from what is unclean among the people of Israel.

Y esparcirá sobre él de la sangre con su dedo siete veces, y lo limpiará, y lo santificará de las inmundicias de los hijos de Israel.

20 “ When he finishes making the holy place, the meeting tent and the altar free from sin, he will give the live goat.

¶ Y cuando hubiere acabado de reconciliar el santuario, y el tabernáculo del testimonio, y el altar, hará traer el macho cabrío vivo;

21 A aron will lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and tell of all the sins and wrong-doings of the people of Israel. He will lay them upon the head of the goat and send it away into the desert by the hand of a man ready to help.

y pondrá Aarón sus dos manos sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío vivo, y confesará sobre él todas las iniquidades de los hijos de Israel, y todas sus rebeliones, y todos sus pecados, poniéndolos así sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío, y lo enviará al desierto por mano de algún varón aparejado para esto.

22 T he goat will carry upon itself all their sins to a land where no one lives. Then the man will let the goat go free there.

Y aquel macho cabrío llevará sobre sí todas las iniquidades de ellos a tierra inhabitable; y enviará el macho cabrío al desierto.

23 “ Aaron will come into the meeting tent. He will take off the linen clothing he put on when he went into the holy place. And he will leave them there.

Después vendrá Aarón al tabernáculo del testimonio, y se desnudará las vestimentas de lino, que había vestido para entrar en el santuario, y las pondrá allí.

24 H e will wash his body with water in a holy place and put on his clothes. Then he will come out and give his burnt gift and the people’s burnt gift, to pay for the sins of himself and the people.

Lavará luego su carne con agua en el lugar santo, y pondrá sus vestidos; después saldrá, y hará su holocausto, y el holocausto del pueblo, y hará la reconciliación por sí y por el pueblo.

25 H e will burn the fat of the sin gift on the altar.

Y del sebo del pecado hará perfume sobre el altar.

26 T he man who let the goat carry away the sins will wash his clothes and wash his body with water. Then he may come among the tents.

Y el que hubiere llevado el macho cabrío a Azazel, lavará sus vestidos, lavará también con agua su carne, y después entrará en el campamento.

27 T he bull and the goat for the sin gift, whose blood was brought in to pay for sins in the holy place, will be taken away from the tents. Their skin, their flesh and their waste will be burned with fire.

Y sacará fuera del campamento el novillo del pecado, y el macho cabrío del pecado, la sangre de los cuales fue metida para hacer la reconciliación en el santuario; y quemarán en el fuego sus pellejos, y sus carnes, y su estiércol.

28 W hoever burns them will wash his clothes and wash his body with water. Then he may come among the tents.

Y el que los quemare, lavará sus vestidos, lavará también su carne con agua, y después entrará en el campamento.

29 “ This will be a Law forever for you. On the tenth day of the seventh month, you must get rid of your pride and not do any work, both those who live in the land and those who visit from another land.

¶ Esto tendréis por estatuto perpetuo: En el mes séptimo, a los diez del mes, afligiréis vuestras almas, y ninguna obra haréis, ni el natural ni el extranjero que peregrina entre vosotros.

30 F or on this day your sin will be taken away and you will be clean. You will be made free from all your sins before the Lord.

Porque en este día se os reconciliará para limpiaros; y seréis limpios de todos vuestros pecados delante del SEÑOR.

31 I t is to be a special Day of Rest for you, that you may be free from pride. It is a Law forever.

Sábado de reposo será para vosotros, y afligiréis vuestras almas, por estatuto perpetuo.

32 T he chosen religious leader who is set apart to work as religious leader in his father’s place will pay for the sin. He will put on the holy linen clothing

Y hará la reconciliación el sacerdote que fuere ungido, y cuya mano hubiere sido llena para ser sacerdote en lugar de su padre; y se vestirá los vestidos de lino, los vestidos santos;

33 a nd make the holy place, the meeting tent and the altar free from sin. He will make the religious leaders and all the people free from sin also.

y reconciliará el santuario santo, y el tabernáculo del testimonio; reconciliará también el altar, y a los sacerdotes, y a todo el pueblo de la congregación.

34 T his will be a Law forever for you. The people of Israel must be made free from all their sins once a year.” And Moses did what the Lord told him to do.

Y esto tendréis por estatuto perpetuo, para reconciliar a los hijos de Israel de todos sus pecados una vez en el año. Y Moisés lo hizo como el SEÑOR le mandó.
