1 ‘ Do not make gods for yourselves. Do not set up for yourselves something to look like a god or a holy object. Do not set up something cut from stone in your land to bow down to. For I am the Lord your God.

¶ No haréis para vosotros ídolos, ni escultura, ni os levantaréis título, ni pondréis en vuestra tierra piedra pintada para inclinaros a ella; porque YO SOY vuestro Dios.

2 K eep My Days of Rest and honor My holy place. I am the Lord.

Guardad mis sábados, y tened en reverencia mi santuario: Yo soy el SEÑOR.

3 I f you live by My Laws and do what I say,

Si anduviereis en mis decretos, y guardareis mis mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra;

4 I will give you rain at the right time. So the land will give its food and the trees will give their fruit.

yo daré vuestra lluvia en su tiempo, y la tierra dará su aumento, y el árbol del campo dará su fruto;

5 T he crushing of your grain will last until the grapes are gathered. The grape gathering will last until the seeds are planted. You will eat your food until you are full, and be safe living in your land.

y la trilla alcanzará a la vendimia, y la vendimia alcanzará a la sementera, y comeréis vuestro pan hasta saciaros y habitaréis seguros en vuestra tierra.

6 I will give peace in the land. You will lie down and no one will make you afraid. I will make the land free from the danger of wild animals. And no sword will move through your land.

Porque yo daré paz en la tierra, y dormiréis, y no habrá quien os espante; y haré quitar las malas bestias de vuestra tierra, y por vuestra tierra no pasará espada.

7 Y ou will go after those who hate you, and they will fall in front of you by the sword.

Y perseguiréis a vuestros enemigos, y delante de vosotros caerán a espada.

8 F ive of you will go after a hundred. A hundred of you will go after ten thousand. And those who hate you will fall in front of you by the sword.

Y cinco de vosotros perseguirán a cien, y cien de vosotros perseguirán a diez millares, y vuestros enemigos caerán a espada delante de vosotros.

9 I will care for you and give you many children. I will keep My agreement with you.

Porque yo me volveré a vosotros, y os haré fructíferos, y os multiplicaré, y afirmaré mi pacto con vosotros.

10 Y ou will eat last year’s food, and use it all because you will have new.

Y comeréis lo añejo de mucho tiempo, y sacaréis fuera lo añejo a causa de lo nuevo.

11 I will make My home among you. My soul will not turn away from you.

Y pondré mi morada en medio de vosotros, y mi alma no os abominará;

12 I will walk among you and be your God. And you will be My people.

y andaré entre vosotros, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y vosotros seréis mi pueblo.

13 I am the Lord your God Who brought you out of the land of Egypt so you would not be their servants. I have broken loose the heavy load from your back and made you walk straight. Punishment to Those Who Do Not Obey

YO SOY vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para que no fuerais sus esclavos; y rompí las coyundas de vuestro yugo, y os he hecho andar con el rostro alto.

14 ‘ But if you do not obey Me and do not do all I say,

¶ Pero si no me oyereis, ni hiciereis todos estos mis mandamientos,

15 i f you turn away from My Laws and do not want to do what I tell you to do, and do not do it, and so break My agreement,

y si abominareis mis decretos, y vuestra alma menospreciare mis derechos, no poniendo por obra todos mis mandamientos, e invalidando mi pacto;

16 I will do this to you: I will bring upon you much fear, disease that destroys, and sickness that will waste away the eyes and make the body weak. You will plant your seeds for nothing, for those who hate you will eat it.

yo también haré con vosotros esto: enviaré sobre vosotros terror, extenuación y calentura, que consuman los ojos y atormenten el alma; y sembraréis en vano vuestra simiente, porque vuestros enemigos la comerán.

17 I will turn against you so you will fall in front of those who fight you. Those who hate you will rule over you. You will run away when no one is coming after you.

Y pondré mi ira sobre vosotros, y seréis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos; y los que os aborrecen se enseñorearán de vosotros, y huiréis sin que haya quien os persiga.

18 I f after all of these things you still do not obey Me, I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

Y si aun con estas cosas no me oyereis, yo tornaré a castigaros siete veces más por vuestros pecados.

19 I will break the pride you have of your power. I will make your sky like iron and your earth like brass.

Y quebrantaré la soberbia de vuestra fortaleza, y tornaré vuestro cielo como hierro, y vuestra tierra como bronce.

20 Y ou will use your strength for nothing. For your land will not give food, and the trees of the land will not give fruit.

Y vuestra fuerza se consumirá en vano; que vuestra tierra no dará su aumento, y los árboles de la tierra no darán su fruto.

21 ‘ If you act against Me and will not obey Me, I will bring you seven times more trouble than your sins.

Y si anduviereis conmigo en oposición, y no me quisiereis oír, yo añadiré sobre vosotros siete veces más plagas según vuestros pecados.

22 I will let the wild animals loose among you. They will rob you of your children and destroy your cattle. They will make you few in number, so that your roads will be empty.

Enviaré también contra vosotros bestias fieras que os arrebaten los hijos, y destruyan vuestros animales, y os apoquen, y vuestros caminos sean desiertos.

23 ‘ If after these things you do not turn to Me, but still go against Me,

Y si con estas cosas no fuereis corregidos, sino que anduviereis conmigo en oposición,

24 t hen I will go against you. I Myself will punish you seven times for your sins.

yo también procederé con vosotros, en oposición y os heriré aún siete veces por vuestros pecados.

25 I will bring a sword upon you that will punish you for breaking the agreement. I will send disease among you when you gather together in your cities. So you will be given into the hands of those who hate you.

Y traeré sobre vosotros espada vengadora, en vindicación del pacto; y os recogeréis a vuestras ciudades; mas yo enviaré pestilencia entre vosotros, y seréis entregados en mano del enemigo.

26 W hen I take away your bread of life, ten women will make your bread in one stove. They will give out your bread by weight. And you will eat it and not be filled.

Cuando yo os quebrantare el sustento del pan, cocerán diez mujeres vuestro pan en un horno, y os devolverán vuestro pan por peso; y comeréis, y no os saciaréis.

27 ‘ If you still do not obey Me after all this, but go against Me,

Y si con esto no me oyereis, mas procediereis conmigo en oposición,

28 t hen I will go against you with anger. I Myself will punish you seven times for your sins.

yo procederé con vosotros en contra y con ira, y os castigaré aún siete veces por vuestros pecados.

29 Y ou will eat the flesh of your sons and daughters.

Y comeréis la carne de vuestros hijos, y comeréis la carne de vuestras hijas.

30 I will destroy your high places and cut down your altars of special perfume. I will throw your dead bodies on what is left of your gods. My soul will hate you.

Y destruiré vuestros altos, y talaré vuestras imágenes, y pondré vuestros cuerpos muertos sobre los cuerpos muertos de vuestros ídolos, y mi alma os abominará.

31 I will destroy your cities also, and your holy places. I will not smell your pleasing smells.

Y pondré vuestras ciudades en desierto, y asolaré vuestros santuarios, y no oleré la fragancia de vuestro suave perfume.

32 I will destroy the land, so those living in it who hate you will be filled with fear because of it.

Yo asolaré también la tierra, que se pasmarán de ella vuestros enemigos que en ella moran;

33 I will divide you among the nations and send the sword after you. Your land will be destroyed and your cities a waste.

y a vosotros os esparciré por los gentiles, y desenvainaré espada en pos de vosotros; y vuestra tierra estará asolada, y desiertas vuestras ciudades.

34 ‘ Then the land will be like new because of its Days of Rest while it lies waste and you are in the land of those who hate you. Then the land will rest and have new life because of the Days of Rest.

Entonces la tierra reposará sus sábados todos los días que estuviere asolada, mientras vosotros estéis en la tierra de vuestros enemigos; la tierra descansará entonces y gozará sus sábados.

35 A s long as it lies waste it will have the rest it did not have on your Days of Rest, while you were living in it.

Todo el tiempo que estará asolada, reposará lo que no reposó en vuestros sábados mientras habitabais en ella.

36 O f those of you who are left in the lands of those who hate you, I will make their hearts weak. The sound of a leaf blown by the wind will make them run away even when no one is going after them. They will run away as if it were a sword, and they will fall.

Y a los que quedaren de vosotros infundiré en sus corazones tal cobardía, en la tierra de sus enemigos, que el sonido de una hoja movida los perseguirá, y huirán como de la espada, y caerán sin que nadie los persiga.

37 T hey will fall over each other as if running from the sword, when no one is going after them. You will have no strength to stand up in front of those who hate you.

Y tropezarán los unos con los otros, como si huyeran delante de la espada, aunque nadie los persiga; y no podréis resistir delante de vuestros enemigos.

38 Y ou will die among the nations. The land of those who hate you will eat you up.

Y pereceréis entre los gentiles, y la tierra de vuestros enemigos os consumirá.

39 S o those of you who are left will waste away in the lands of those who hate you, because of their sins. Also because of the sins of their fathers, they will waste away with them.

Y los que quedaren de vosotros decaerán en las tierras de vuestros enemigos por su iniquidad; y por la iniquidad de sus padres decaerán con ellos.

40 ‘ If they tell their sins and the sins of their fathers which they did when they were not faithful to Me and were against Me with anger,

¶ Y confesarán su iniquidad, y la iniquidad de sus padres, por su prevaricación con que prevaricaron contra mí; y también porque anduvieron conmigo en oposición,

41 ( I also was angry with them and brought them into the land of those who hate them) if their sinful heart loses its pride and they are willing to turn away from their sin,

y que también habré andado con ellos en contra, y los habré metido en la tierra de sus enemigos; y entonces se humillará su corazón incircunciso, y rogarán por su iniquidad;

42 I will remember My agreement with Jacob, My agreement with Isaac, and My agreement with Abraham. And I will remember the land.

y yo me acordaré de mi pacto con Jacob, y asimismo de mi pacto con Isaac, y también de mi pacto con Abraham me acordaré; y haré memoria de la tierra.

43 B ut the land will be left behind them and become better with its Days of Rest while it lies empty without them. During this time they will turn away from their sin because they had not done what I told them to do and their soul hated My Laws.

Que la tierra estará desamparada de ellos, y reposará sus sábados, estando desierta a causa de ellos; y ellos rogarán por su iniquidad; por cuanto menospreciaron mis derechos, y tuvo el alma de ellos fastidio de mis decretos.

44 Y et even when they are in the land of those who hate them, I will not turn away from them. I will not hate them enough to destroy them and break My agreement with them. For I am the Lord their God.

Y aun con todo esto, estando ellos en tierra de sus enemigos, yo no los desecharé, ni los abominaré para consumirlos, invalidando mi pacto con ellos; porque YO SOY su Dios.

45 B ut because of them I will remember the agreement with their fathers, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the eyes of the nations, to be their God. I am the Lord.’”

Antes me acordaré de ellos por el pacto antiguo, cuando los saqué de la tierra de Egipto a los ojos de los gentiles, para ser su Dios: Yo soy el SEÑOR.

46 T hese are the Laws which the Lord made between Himself and the people of Israel through Moses at Mount Sinai.

Estos son los decretos, derechos y leyes que estableció el SEÑOR entre sí y los hijos de Israel en el monte de Sinaí por mano de Moisés.
