1 C hristian brothers, I want you to know about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You need to understand the truth about this.

А щодо духовних дарів, то не хочу я, браття, щоб не відали ви.

2 Y ou know that before you were Christians you were led to worship false gods. None of these gods could speak.

Знаєте, що коли ви поганами були, то ходили до німих ідолів, ніби воджено вас.

3 S o I tell you that no one speaking by the help of the Holy Spirit can say that he hates Jesus. No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the help of the Holy Spirit. The Kinds of Gifts

Тому то кажу вам, що ніхто, хто говорить Духом Божим, не скаже: Нехай анатема буде на Ісуса, і не може сказати ніхто: Ісус то Господь, як тільки Духом Святим.

4 T here are different kinds of gifts. But it is the same Holy Spirit Who gives them.

Є різниця між дарами милости, Дух же той Самий.

5 T here are different kinds of work to be done for Him. But the work is for the same Lord.

Є й різниця між служіннями, та Господь той же Самий.

6 T here are different ways of doing His work. But it is the same God who uses all these ways in all people.

Є різниця й між діями, але Бог той же Самий, що в усіх робить усе.

7 T he Holy Spirit works in each person in one way or another for the good of all.

І кожному дається виявлення Духа на користь.

8 O ne person is given the gift of teaching words of wisdom. Another person is given the gift of teaching what he has learned and knows. These gifts are by the same Holy Spirit.

Одному бо Духом дається слово мудрости, а другому слово знання тим же Духом,

9 O ne person receives the gift of faith. Another person receives the gifts of healing. These gifts are given by the same Holy Spirit.

а іншому віра тим же Духом, а іншому дари вздоровлення тим же Духом,

10 O ne person is given the gift of doing powerful works. Another person is given the gift of speaking God’s Word. Another person is given the gift of telling the difference between the Holy Spirit and false spirits. Another person is given the gift of speaking in special sounds. Another person is given the gift of telling what these special sounds mean.

а іншому роблення чуд, а іншому пророкування, а іншому розпізнавання духів, а тому різні мови, а іншому вияснення мов.

11 B ut it is the same Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, Who does all these things. He gives to each person as He wants to give. Our Body Is Like the Body of Christ

А все оце чинить один і той Самий Дух, уділяючи кожному осібно, як Він хоче.

12 O ur own body has many parts. When all these many parts are put together, they are only one body. The body of Christ is like this.

Бо як тіло одне, але має членів багато, усі ж члени тіла, хоч їх багато, то тіло одне, так і Христос.

13 I t is the same way with us. Jews or those who are not Jews, men who are owned by someone or men who are free to do what they want to do, have all been baptized into the one body by the same Holy Spirit. We have all received the one Spirit.

Бо ми всі одним Духом охрищені в тіло одне, чи то юдеї, чи геллени, чи раби, чи то вільні, і всі ми напоєні Духом одним.

14 T he body is not one part, but many parts.

Бо тіло не є один член, а багато.

15 I f the foot should say, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that would not stop it from being a part of the body.

Коли скаже нога, що я не від тіла, бо я не рука, то хіба через це не від тіла вона?

16 I f the ear should say, “I am not a part of the body because I am not an eye,” that would not stop it from being a part of the body.

І коли скаже вухо, що я не від тіла, бо я не око, то хіба через це не від тіла воно?

17 I f the whole body were an eye how would it hear? If the whole body were an ear, how would it smell?

Коли б оком було ціле тіло, то де був би слух? А коли б усе слух, то де був би нюх?

18 B ut God has put all the parts into the body just as He wants to have them.

Та нині Бог розклав члени в тілі, кожного з них, як хотів.

19 I f all the parts were the same, it could not be a body.

Якби всі одним членом були, то де тіло було б?

20 B ut now there are many parts, but one body.

Отож, тепер членів багато, та тіло одне.

21 T he eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you.” Or the head cannot say to the feet, “I do not need you.”

Бо око не може сказати руці: Ти мені непотрібна; або голова знов ногам: Ви мені непотрібні.

22 S ome of the parts we think are weak and not important are very important.

Але члени тіла, що здаються слабіші, значно більше потрібні.

23 W e take good care of and cover with clothes the parts of the body that look less important. The parts which do not look beautiful have an important work to do.

А тим, що вважаємо їх за зовсім нешановані в тілі, таким честь найбільшу приносимо, і бридкі наші члени отримують пристойність найбільшу,

24 T he parts that can be seen do not need as much care. God has made the body so more care is given to the parts that need it most.

а нашим пристойним того не потрібно. Та Бог змішав тіло, і честь більшу дав нижчому членові,

25 T his is so the body will not be divided into parts. All the parts care for each other.

щоб поділення в тілі не було, а щоб члени однаково дбали один про одного.

26 I f one part of the body suffers, all the other parts suffer with it. If one part is given special care, the other parts are happy. The Body of Christ

І коли терпить один член, то всі члени з ним терплять; і коли один член пошанований, то всі члени з ним тішаться.

27 Y ou are all a part of the body of Christ.

І ви тіло Христове, а зосібна ви члени!

28 G od has chosen different ones in the church to do His work. First, there are missionaries. Second, there are preachers or those who speak for God. And third, there are teachers. He has also chosen those who do powerful works and those who have the gifts of healing. And He has chosen those who help others who are in need and those who are able to lead others in work and those who speak in special sounds.

А інших поставив Бог у Церкві поперше апостолами, подруге пророками, потретє учителями, потім дав сили, також дари вздоровлення, допомоги, управління, різні мови.

29 A re they all missionaries? No. Are they all preachers or those who speak for God? No. Do they all do powerful works? No.

Чи ж усі апостоли? Чи ж усі пророки? Чи ж усі вчителі? Чи ж усі сили чудодійні?

30 D o they all have the gifts of healing? No. Do they all speak in special sounds? No. Are they all able to tell what the special sounds mean? No.

Чи ж усі мають дари вздоровлення? Чи ж мовами всі розмовляють? Чи ж усі виясняють?

31 B ut from your heart you should want the best gifts. Now I will show you even a better way.

Тож дбайте ревно про ліпші дари, а я вам покажу путь іще кращу!
