1 “ Hear this, O family of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who come from the seed of Judah. They make promises in the name of the Lord, and call upon the God of Israel, but not in truth or by what is right and good.

Послухайте це, доме Яковів, що зветесь іменням Ізраїлевим, і що вийшли із Юдиних вод, що клянетеся Йменням Господнім та Бога Ізраїля згадуєте, хоч не в правді та не в справедливості!

2 F or they call themselves people of the holy city, and trust in the God of Israel. The Lord of All is His name.

Бо від міста святого вони прозиваються та на Бога Ізраїлевого спираються, Йому Ймення Господь Саваот!

3 I made known the things that would happen long ago. From My mouth My words went out. Then all at once I did what I said I would, and they came to pass.

Я віддавна звіщав про минуле, із уст Моїх вийшло воно й розповів Я про нього, раптовно зробив, і прийшло.

4 I know that your heart is hard. Your neck is like iron, and your forehead is like brass.

Тому, що Я знав, що впертий ти є, твоя ж шия то м'язи залізні, а чоло твоє мідяне,

5 S o I made them known to you long ago. I told you before they happened, or else you might say, ‘My false god has done them. My objects of worship have made them happen.’

то звіщав Я віддавна тобі, іще поки прийшло, розповів Я тобі, щоб ти не говорив: Мій божок це зробив, а про це наказав мій бовван та мій ідол.

6 Y ou have heard, now look at all this. And will you say that you will not tell about it? I tell you new things from this time on, even hidden things which you have not known.

Ти чув, переглянь усе це; і ви хіба не визнаєте цього? Тепер розповів Я тобі новини й таємниці, яких ти не знав.

7 T hey are made now, not long ago. Before today you have never heard of them, or you would say, ‘See, I knew them.’

Тепер вони створені, а не віддавна, а перед цим днем ти не чув був про них, щоб не сказати: Оце я їх знав.

8 Y ou have not heard. You have not known. Even from long ago your ear has not been open, because I knew that you could not be trusted. You have been known to fight against the law and not obey from birth.

Та не чув ти й не знав, і віддавна ти не відкривав свого вуха, бо Я знав, що напевно ти зрадиш, і звано тебе від утроби: перевертень.

9 B ecause of My name I hold back My anger. For My praise I keep Myself from cutting you off.

Ради Ймення Свого Я спиняю Свій гнів, і ради слави Своєї Я стримуюся проти тебе, щоб не знищити тебе.

10 S ee, I have tested you, but not as silver. I have tested you in the fire of suffering.

Оце перетопив Я тебе, але не як те срібло, у горні недолі тебе дослідив.

11 F or My own good, for My own good, I will do this. For why should I allow My name to be put to shame? I will not give My shining-greatness to another. God Will Take Israel Out of Trouble

Ради Себе, ради Себе роблю, бо як буде збезчещене Ймення Моє? А іншому слави Своєї не дам.

12 “ Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel whom I called. I am He. I am the first, and I am the last.

Почуй Мене, Якове та Ізраїлю, Мій покликаний: Це Я, Я перший, також Я останній!

13 M y hand put the earth in its place. And My right hand spread out the heavens. When I call to them, they stand together.

Теж рука Моя землю заклала, і небо напнула правиця Моя, Я закличу до них і вони стануть разом.

14 G ather together, all of you, and listen! Who among them has made these things known? The Lord loves him. He will do to Babylon what pleases him, and his arm will be against the Babylonians.

Зберіться ви всі та й послухайте: Хто серед вас розповів був про те? Кого Господь любить, вчинить волю Його в Вавилоні, рамено ж Його на халдеях.

15 I , even I, have spoken. Yes, I have called him, I have brought him, and he will do well.

Я, Я говорив і покликав його, спровадив його, і він на дорозі своїй буде мати поводження.

16 C ome near to Me and listen to this: From the beginning I have not spoken in secret. From the time it came to be, I was there. And now the Lord God has sent me and His Spirit.”

Наблизьтесь до Мене, послухайте це: Споконвіку Я не говорив потаємно; від часу, як діялось це, Я був там. А тепер послав Мене Господь Бог та Його Дух.

17 T he Lord Who bought you and saves you, the Holy One of Israel, says, “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to do well, Who leads you in the way you should go.

Так говорить Господь, твій Відкупитель, Святий Ізраїлів: Я Господь, Бог твій, що навчає тебе про корисне, що провадить тебе по дорозі, якою ти маєш ходити.

18 I f only you had listened to My Laws! Then your peace would have been like a river and your right-standing with God would have been like the waves of the sea.

О, коли б ти прислухувався до Моїх заповідей, то був би твій спокій, як річка, а твоя справедливість, немов морські хвилі!

19 Y our children’s children would have been like the sand. Those born to you would have been like the sand. Their name would never be cut off or destroyed from before Me.”

А насіння твого було б, як піску, а нащадків твого живота немов зернят його, і витяте й вигублене не було б твоє ймення із-перед обличчя Мого!

20 G o out from Babylon! Run from the Babylonians! Call out for joy and let this be known to the end of the earth, saying, “The Lord has bought and set free His servant Jacob!”

Вирушіть із Вавилону, втечіть від халдеїв, радісним співом звістіть, оце розголосіть, аж до краю землі рознесіть це, скажіть: Господь викупив раба Свого Якова!

21 T hey were not thirsty when He led them through the deserts. He made water flow out of the rock for them. He broke the rock, and the water flowed out.

І спраги не знали вони на пустинях, якими провадив Він їх: воду з скелі пустив їм, Він скелю розбив і вода потекла!

22 “ There is no peace for the sinful,” says the Lord.

Для безбожних спокою немає, говорить Господь.
