2 F or, look, those who hate You are making much noise. Those who fight against You have honored themselves.

(83-3) бо ось зашуміли Твої вороги, а Твої ненависники голови попідіймали!

3 T hey make bad plans against Your people. They plan against those You care for.

(83-4) Вони проти народу Твого хитрий задум видумують, і нараджуються проти тих, кого Ти бережеш!

4 T hey say, “Come, let us destroy them as a nation. Let the name of Israel be remembered no longer.”

(83-5) Вони кажуть: Ходіть но, та знищимо їх з-між народів, і згадуватись більш не буде імення ізраїля!

5 F or they plan together with one mind. They make an agreement against You:

(83-6) Бо вони однодушно нарадилися, проти Тебе умови складають,

6 T he tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites;

(83-7) намети Едома й ізмаїльтян, Моав та агаряни,

7 G ebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with those who live in Tyre;

(83-8) Ґевал і Аммон, і Амалик, Филистея з мешканцями Тиру.

8 A ssyria has joined them also. They help the children of Lot.

(83-9) і Ашшур поєднався був з ними, вони синам Лотовим стали раменом. Села.

9 D o to them as You did to Midian, and to Sisera and Jabin at the river of Kishon.

(83-10) Зроби їм, як Мідіянові, як Сісері, як Явінові в долині Кішон,

10 T hey were destroyed at Endor. They were spread over the field.

11 M ake their respected men like Oreb and Zeeb. Make their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

(83-12) Поклади їх та їхніх вельмож, як Орева, й як Зеева, й як Зеваха, й як Цалмунну, усіх їхніх князів,

12 w ho said, “Let us take for ourselves the fields of God.”

(83-13) що казали були: Візьмімо на спадок для себе помешкання Боже!

13 O my God, make them like dust turning in the wind, like parts of the grass that have no worth and are blown away.

(83-14) Боже мій, бодай стали вони, немов порох у вихрі, як солома на вітрі!

14 A s the fire that burns up the trees and spreads over the mountains,

(83-15) Як огонь палить ліс, й як запалює полум'я гори,

15 s o go behind them with Your storm. Make them afraid with Your storm.

(83-16) так Ти їх пожени Своїм вихром, і настраш Своєю бурею!

16 F ill their faces with shame, so they will look to Your name, O Lord.

(83-17) Наповни обличчя їхнє соромом, і хай шукають вони Твоє Ймення, о Господи!

17 L et them be ashamed and afraid forever. Let them be put to shame and lost.

(83-18) Нехай будуть вони засоромлені, й завжди хай будуть настрашені, і хай застидаються, й хай вони згинуть!

18 T hen they may know that You alone, Whose name is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.

(83-19) і нехай вони знають, що Ти, Твоє Ймення Господь, Сам Ти, Всевишній, на цілій землі!
