1 “ Hear this, O religious leaders! Listen, O people of Israel! Listen, O family of the king! For you are to be judged. You have been a trap at Mizpah, and a net spread out on Tabor.

Послухайте цього, священики, і почуйте, Ізраїлів доме, а ви, царський доме, візьміть до вух, бо вам буде суд, бо ви для Міцпи були пасткою й сіткою, розтягненою на Фавор.

2 T hose who will not obey have gone deep into sin, but I will punish all of them.

І глибоко вгрузли в розпусті вони, та Я поплямую всіх їх.

3 I know all about Ephraim. Israel is not hidden from Me. O Ephraim, you have acted like a woman who sells the use of her body. Israel has made itself unclean.

Я знаю Єфрема, а Ізраїль не схований передо Мною, бо тепер блудодійним, Єфреме, ти став, занечистивсь Ізраїль.

4 T heir wrong-doing will not allow them to return to their God. For a spirit of a woman who sells the use of her body is within them, and they do not know the Lord.

Не дають їхні вчинки вернутись до Бога, бо дух блудодійства в середині їхній, і не відають Господа.

5 T he pride of Israel speaks against them. Israel and Ephraim fall in their sin, and Judah has fallen with them.

І гордість Ізраїлева засвідчиться перед обличчям його. А Ізраїль й Єфрем упадуть за провину свою, також Юда із ними впаде.

6 T hey will go with their flocks and cattle to look for the Lord, but they will not find Him. He has gone away from them.

З своєю отарою та з своєю худобою вони Господа підуть шукати, але не знайдуть, Він від них віддалився.

7 T hey have not been faithful to the Lord, for they have given birth to children who are not His. Now the new moon will destroy them with their land. War between Judah and Israel

Вони зрадили Господа, бо породили сторонніх дітей, тепер їх пожере молодик разом із частками їхнього поля.

8 “ Blow the horn in Gibeah and in Ramah! Let the sound of danger be heard at Beth-aven! Look behind you, Benjamin!

Засурміте у рога в Ґів'ї, сурмою в Рамі, закричіть у Бет-Авені за тобою, Веніямине!

9 E phraim will be laid waste in the day of punishment. Among the family groups of Israel I make known what is sure.

В день картання Єфрем за спустошення стане; поміж племенами Ізраїля Я завідомив про певне.

10 T he leaders of Judah are like those who take away the land-marks. I will pour out My anger on them like water.

Стали зверхники Юди, мов ті, що межу переносять, на них виллю, як воду, Свій гнів!

11 I t is hard for Ephraim. He is crushed by punishment, because he wanted to follow what is of no worth.

Єфрем став пригноблений, судом розбитий, бо він намагався ходити за марнотою.

12 S o I am like a moth to Ephraim, and like a wasting disease to the people of Judah.

І Я буду, як міль, для Єфрема, і мов та гнилизна для дому Юди.

13 W hen Ephraim saw his sickness and Judah saw his sore, then Ephraim went to Assyria and sent to King Jareb for help. But he is not able to cure you, or heal your sore.

І побачив Єфрем свою хворість, а Юда свого чиряка, і Єфрем відійшов до Ашшура і послав до царя до великого. Та він вилікувати вас не зможе, і не вигоїть вам чиряка!

14 F or I will be like a lion to Ephraim, and like a young lion to the people of Judah. I will tear them to pieces and go away. I will carry them away, with no one to take them.

Бо Я немов лев для Єфрема, і немов той левчук дому Юди. Я, Я розшматую й піду, і ніхто не врятує!

15 I will go away and return to My place until they know they are guilty and look for Me. In their suffering they will try to find Me.”

Піду, повернуся до місця Свого, аж поки провини своєї вони не признають, і не стануть шукати Мого лиця. Та в утиску будуть шукати Мене!
