1 H ear this, O ye priests, and hearken, O house of Israel, and give ear, O house of the king; for unto you pertaineth the judgment; for ye have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

Послухайте цього, священики, і почуйте, Ізраїлів доме, а ви, царський доме, візьміть до вух, бо вам буде суд, бо ви для Міцпи були пасткою й сіткою, розтягненою на Фавор.

2 A nd the revolters are gone deep in making slaughter; but I am a rebuker of them all.

І глибоко вгрузли в розпусті вони, та Я поплямую всіх їх.

3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me; for now, O Ephraim, thou hast played the harlot, Israel is defiled.

Я знаю Єфрема, а Ізраїль не схований передо Мною, бо тепер блудодійним, Єфреме, ти став, занечистивсь Ізраїль.

4 T heir doings will not suffer them to turn unto their God; for the spirit of whoredom is within them, and they know not Jehovah.

Не дають їхні вчинки вернутись до Бога, бо дух блудодійства в середині їхній, і не відають Господа.

5 A nd the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity; Judah also shall stumble with them.

І гордість Ізраїлева засвідчиться перед обличчям його. А Ізраїль й Єфрем упадуть за провину свою, також Юда із ними впаде.

6 T hey shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah; but they shall not find him: he hath withdrawn himself from them.

З своєю отарою та з своєю худобою вони Господа підуть шукати, але не знайдуть, Він від них віддалився.

7 T hey have dealt treacherously against Jehovah; for they have borne strange children: now shall the new moon devour them with their fields.

Вони зрадили Господа, бо породили сторонніх дітей, тепер їх пожере молодик разом із частками їхнього поля.

8 B low ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: sound an alarm at Beth-aven; behind thee, O Benjamin.

Засурміте у рога в Ґів'ї, сурмою в Рамі, закричіть у Бет-Авені за тобою, Веніямине!

9 E phraim shall become a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

В день картання Єфрем за спустошення стане; поміж племенами Ізраїля Я завідомив про певне.

10 T he princes of Judah are like them that remove the landmark: I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

Стали зверхники Юди, мов ті, що межу переносять, на них виллю, як воду, Свій гнів!

11 E phraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment; because he was content to walk after man's command.

Єфрем став пригноблений, судом розбитий, бо він намагався ходити за марнотою.

12 T herefore am I unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

І Я буду, як міль, для Єфрема, і мов та гнилизна для дому Юди.

13 W hen Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to Assyria, and sent to king Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.

І побачив Єфрем свою хворість, а Юда свого чиряка, і Єфрем відійшов до Ашшура і послав до царя до великого. Та він вилікувати вас не зможе, і не вигоїть вам чиряка!

14 F or I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver.

Бо Я немов лев для Єфрема, і немов той левчук дому Юди. Я, Я розшматую й піду, і ніхто не врятує!

15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me earnestly.

Піду, повернуся до місця Свого, аж поки провини своєї вони не признають, і не стануть шукати Мого лиця. Та в утиску будуть шукати Мене!
