1 T he word of Jehovah also came unto me, saying,

І було мені слово Господнє таке:

2 S on of man, thou dwellest in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see, and see not, that have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.

Сину людський, ти живеш серед дому ворохобного, вони мають очі, щоб бачити, та не бачать, мають вуха, щоб слухати, та не чують, бо вони дім ворохобний.

3 T herefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

А ти, сину людський, пороби собі речі для мандрівки, і йди на вигнання вдень на їхніх очах, і підеш на вигнання з свого місця до іншого місця на їхніх очах, може побачать вони, що вони дім ворохобности.

4 A nd thou shalt bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing; and thou shalt go forth thyself at even in their sight, as when men go forth into exile.

І повиносиш свої речі, як речі для мандрівки, удень на їхніх очах, а ти вийдеш увечорі на їхніх очах, як виходять вигнанці.

5 D ig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby.

На їхніх очах пробий собі дірку в стіні, і повиносиш нею.

6 I n their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the land: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.

На їхніх очах на рамені повиносиш, винесеш потемки, закриєш обличчя своє, і не побачиш землі, бо Я поставив тебе знаком для Ізраїлевого дому.

7 A nd I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the even I digged through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.

І зробив я так, як наказано мені: речі свої я повиносив удень, а ввечорі пробив собі рукою дірку в стіні, потемки повиносив, на рамені носив на їхніх очах.

8 A nd in the morning came the word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

А ранком було мені слово Господнє таке:

9 S on of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?

Сину людський, чи ж не сказав до тебе дім Ізраїлів, дім ворохобности: Що ти робиш?

10 S ay thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are.

Скажи до них: Так сказав Господь Бог: Це пророцтво про начальника Єрусалиму та ввесь Ізраїлів дім, що в ньому вони.

11 S ay, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.

Скажи: Я ваш знак. Як зробив Я, так буде зроблено їм, підуть на вигнання в полон!

12 A nd the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, because he shall not see the land with his eyes.

А той начальник, що серед них, на рамені буде нести потемки й вийде; у стіні проб'ють дірку, щоб вивести його; обличчя своє він закриє, щоб не бачити землі очима.

13 M y net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.

І розтягну на нього сітку Свою, і він буде схоплений в пастку Мою, і відведу його до Вавилону, до халдейського краю, та його він не побачить, і там помре.

14 A nd I will scatter toward every wind all that are round about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.

А все, що навколо нього, його помічники та всі війська його, розпорошу на всі вітри, і витягну за ними меча...

15 A nd they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries.

І пізнають вони, що Я Господь, коли розвію їх поміж народами та розпорошу їх по країнах!

16 B ut I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations whither they come; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

А нечисленних з них людей збережу від меча, від голоду та від зарази, щоб вони оповідали про свої гидоти серед народів, куди поприходять. І вони пізнають, що Я Господь!

17 M oreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

І було мені слово Господнє таке:

18 S on of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with fearfulness;

Сину людський, їж свій хліб у дрижанні, а воду свою пий у тремтінні та в журбі.

19 a nd say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, and despoiled of all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

І скажеш до народу цього Краю: Так говорить Господь Бог на мешканців Єрусалиму, на Ізраїлеву землю: Вони хліб свій в журбі будуть їсти, а воду свою будуть пити в остовпінні, бо спустошів їхній Край від своєї повні за насилля всіх, що мешкають у ньому.

20 A nd the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

І поруйнуються населені міста, а Край стане спустошенням, і пізнаєте ви, що Я Господь!

21 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

І було мені слово Господнє таке:

22 S on of man, what is this proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

Сину людський, що це в вас за приповістка така в Ізраїлевій землі: Продовжаться дні, і зникне всіляке видіння?

23 T ell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the fulfilment of every vision.

Тому скажи їм: Так говорить Господь Бог: Припиню Я цю приповістку, і більше не будуть її приповісткувати в Ізраїлі, але говори їм: Наблизилися оті дні й слово всякого видіння.

24 F or there shall be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.

Бо не буде вже жодного марного видіння та підлесливого чарування в Ізраїлевім домі.

25 F or I am Jehovah; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Бо Я, Господь, буду говорити, а яке слово говоритиму, то буде воно здійснене, не відтягнеться вже, бо за ваших днів, доме ворохобности, буду говорити слово, і його виконаю, говорить Господь Бог.

26 A gain the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

І було мені слово Господнє таке:

27 S on of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many day to come, and he prophesieth of times that are far off.

Сину людський, ось говорить Ізраїлів дім: Те видіння, яке він бачить, воно про далекі дні, і про далекі часи він пророкує.

28 T herefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Тому їм скажи: Так говорить Господь Бог: Не відтягнуться вже всі слова Мої, яке слово говоритиму, те буде виконане, говорить Господь Бог!
