1 A nd Jehovah said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

І сказав Господь Ноєві: Увійди ти й увесь дім твій до ковчегу, бо Я бачив тебе праведним перед лицем Своїм в оцім роді.

2 O f every clean beast thou shalt take to thee seven and seven, the male and his female; and of the beasts that are not clean two, the male and his female:

Із усякої чистої худоби візьмеш собі по семеро, самця та самицю її, а з худоби нечистої двоє: самця та самицю її.

3 o f the birds also of the heavens, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

Також із птаства небесного по семеро, самця та самицю, щоб насіння сховати живим на поверхні всієї землі.

4 F or yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the ground.

Ось бо по семи днях Я литиму на землю дощ сорок день і сорок ночей, і всяку істоту, яку Я вчинив, зітру з-над поверхні землі!

5 A nd Noah did according unto all that Jehovah commanded him.

І зробив Ной усе, як звелів був Господь.

6 A nd Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

А Ной був віку шостисот літ, і стався потоп, вода на землі.

7 A nd Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

І ввійшов Ной, і сини його, і жінка його, і невістки його з ним до ковчегу перед водою потопу.

8 O f clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creepeth upon the ground,

Із чистої худоби та з худоби, що нечиста вона, і з птаства, і всього, що плазує на землі,

9 t here went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, male and female, as God commanded Noah.

по двоє ввійшли до Ноя до ковчегу, самець і самиця, як Бог Ноєві був ізвелів.

10 A nd it came to pass after the seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

І сталося по семи днях, і води потопу линули на землю.

11 I n the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Року шостої сотні літ життя Ноєвого, місяця другого, сімнадцятого дня місяця, цього дня відкрилися всі джерела великої безодні, і розчинилися небесні розтвори.

12 A nd the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

І був дощ на землі сорок день і сорок ночей.

13 I n the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

Того саме дня до ковчегу ввійшов Ной, і Сим, і Хам та Яфет, сини Ноєві, і жінка Ноєва, і три невістки його з ними,

14 t hey, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.

вони та всяка звірина за родом її, і всяка худоба за родом її, і всяке плазуюче, що плазує по землі, за родом його, і всяке птаство за родом його, усяка пташка крилата.

15 A nd they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh wherein is the breath of life.

І ввійшли до Ноя, до ковчегу по двоє із кожного тіла, що в нім дух життя.

16 A nd they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him: and Jehovah shut him in.

А те, що ввійшло, самець і самиця з кожного тіла ввійшли, як звелів йому Бог. І замкнув Господь за ним ковчега.

17 A nd the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth.

І був потоп сорок день на землі, і збільшилась вода, і понесла ковчега. І він високо став над землею.

18 A nd the waters prevailed, and increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

І прибула вода, і сильно збільшилась вона на землі, і пливав ковчег на поверхні води.

19 A nd the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high mountains that were under the whole heaven were covered.

І дуже-дуже вода на землі прибула, і покрились усі гори високі, що під небом усім.

20 F ifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

На п'ятнадцять ліктів угору вода прибула, і покрилися гори.

21 A nd all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both birds, and cattle, and beasts, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

І вимерло всяке тіло, що рухається на землі: серед птаства, і серед скотини, і серед звірини, і серед усіх плазунів, що плазують по землі, і кожна людина.

22 a ll in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.

Усе, що в ніздрях його дух життя, з усього, що на суходолі вимерло було.

23 A nd every living thing was destroyed that was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only was left, and they that were with him in the ark.

І винищив Бог усяку істоту на поверхні землі, від людини аж до скотини, аж до плазуна, і аж до птаства небесного, вони стерлись з землі. І зостався тільки Ной та те, що з ним у ковчезі було.

24 A nd the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.

І прибувала вода на землі сто і п'ятдесят день.
