1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

2 S peak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy; for I Jehovah your God am holy.

Промовляй до всієї громади Ізраїлевих синів, та й скажеш їм: Будьте святі, бо святий Я, Господь, Бог ваш!

3 Y e shall fear every man his mother, and his father; and ye shall keep my sabbaths: I am Jehovah your God.

Кожен буде боятися матері своєї та батька свого, а субіт Моїх будете додержувати. Я Господь, Бог ваш!

4 T urn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am Jehovah your God.

Не звертайтеся до ідолів, і не робіть собі литих божків. Я Господь Бог ваш!

5 A nd when ye offer a sacrifice of peace-offerings unto Jehovah, ye shall offer it that ye may be accepted.

А коли ви принесете мирну жертву для Господа, на вподобання вас принесете її.

6 I t shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if aught remain until the third day, it shall be burnt with fire.

Ви будете їсти її в день принесення вашого та взавтра, а позостале до дня третього огнем буде спалене.

7 A nd if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination; it shall not be accepted:

А якщо справді буде їджене воно третього дня, нечистість воно, не буде вподобане.

8 b ut every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the holy thing of Jehovah: and that soul shall be cut off from his people.

А хто те їсть, понесе він свій гріх, бо споганив він святиню Господню, і буде винищена душа та з-посеред народу свого!

9 A nd when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleaning of thy harvest.

А коли ти будеш жати жниво своєї землі, не докінчуй жати до краю свого поля, а попадалих колосків твого жнива не будеш збирати;

10 A nd thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather the fallen fruit of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am Jehovah your God.

а виноградника свого не вибереш дорешти, а попадалих ягід виноградника свого не будеш збирати, для вбогого та для приходька позостав їх. Я Господь, Бог ваш!

11 Y e shall not steal; neither shall ye deal falsely, nor lie one to another.

Не будете красти, і не будете неправдиво заперечувати, і не будете говорити неправди один на одного!

12 A nd ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

І не будете присягати Моїм Іменем на неправду, бо зневажиш Ім'я Бога свого. Я Господь!

13 T hou shalt not oppress thy neighbor, nor rob him: the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

Не будеш гнобити ближнього свого, і не будеш грабувати, і не задержиш в себе через ніч аж до ранку заробітку наймита.

14 T hou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind; but thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

Не будеш проклинати глухого, а перед сліпим не роби перешкоди, і будеш боятися Бога свого. Я Господь!

15 Y e shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty; but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.

Не зробите кривди в суді: не будеш потурати особі вбогого, і не будеш підлещуватися до особи вельможного, за правдою суди свого ближнього!

16 T hou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor: I am Jehovah.

Не будеш ходити пліткарем серед народу свого. Не будеш наставати на життя свого ближнього. Я Господь!

17 T hou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

Не будеш ненавидіти брата свого в серці своєму. Конче вияви неправду свого ближнього, і не понесеш гріха за нього.

18 T hou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people; but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am Jehovah.

Не будеш мститися, і не будеш ненавидіти синів свого народу. І будеш любити ближнього свого, як самого себе! Я Господь!

19 Y e shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with two kinds of seed: neither shall there come upon thee a garment of two kinds of stuff mingled together.

Постанов Моїх будете дотримувати. Не зробиш, щоб худоба твоя злучувалася двоїсто. Поля свого не будеш обсівати двоїсто. А одежа двоїста, мішанина ниток, не ввійде на тебе.

20 A nd whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to a husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; they shall be punished; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

А чоловік, коли буде злягатися з жінкою, а вона невільниця, заручена чоловікові, а справді не була вона викуплена, або визволення не було дане їй, то нехай буде кара, але не будуть вони забиті, бо не увільнена вона.

21 A nd he shall bring his trespass-offering unto Jehovah, unto the door of the tent of meeting, even a ram for a trespass-offering.

І спровадить він жертву за провину свою Господеві до входу скинії заповіту, барана жертви за провину.

22 A nd the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering before Jehovah for his sin which he hath sinned: and the sin which he hath sinned shall be forgiven him.

І очистить його священик бараном жертви за провину перед Господнім лицем за гріх його, що він був згрішив. І проститься йому гріх його, що він був згрішив.

23 A nd when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as their uncircumcision: three years shall they be as uncircumcised unto you; it shall not be eaten.

А коли ви ввійдете до Краю цього, і понасаджуєте всяке їстивне дерево, то плід його вважатимете за необрізаний, три роки буде воно для вас необрізане, не буде їджене.

24 B ut in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy, for giving praise unto Jehovah.

А року четвертого ввесь плід його присвятиться для Господа.

25 A nd in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am Jehovah your God.

А року п'ятого будете їсти плід його, щоб помножився для вас урожай його. Я Господь, Бог ваш.

26 Y e shall not eat anything with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantments, nor practise augury.

Не будете їсти з кров'ю. Не будете ворожити, і не будете чарувати!

27 Y e shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

Не будете стригти волосся довкола голови вашої, і не будеш нищити краю бороди своєї.

28 Y e shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am Jehovah.

І не зробите на тілі своїм нарізу за душу померлого, і не зробите на собі наколеного напису. Я Господь!

29 P rofane not thy daughter, to make her a harlot; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

Не безчесть своєї дочки, і не роби її блудливою, щоб не стала блудливою ця земля, і не наповнилась земля розпустою.

30 Y e shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am Jehovah.

Субіт Моїх будете додержувати, а святиню Мою будете шанувати. Я Господь!

31 T urn ye not unto them that have familiar spirits, nor unto the wizards; seek them not out, to be defiled by them: I am Jehovah your God.

Не звертайтесь до духів померлих та до ворожбитів, і не доводьте себе до опоганення ними. Я Господь, Бог ваш!

32 T hou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

Перед лицем сивизни встань, і вшануй лице старого, і будеш боятися Бога свого. Я Господь!

33 A nd if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong.

А коли мешкатиме з тобою приходько в вашім Краї, то не будете гнобити його.

34 T he stranger that sojourneth with you shall be unto you as the home-born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.

Як тубілець із вас буде для вас приходько, що мешкає з вами, і ти будеш любити його, як самого себе, бо приходьки були ви в єгипетськім краї. Я Господь, Бог ваш!

35 Y e shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.

Не будете чинити кривди в суді, у мірі, у вазі та в мірі рідини.

36 J ust balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

Вага вірна, тягарці вірні, ефа вірна, гін вірний буде в вас. Я Господь, Бог ваш, що вивів вас із єгипетського краю!

37 A nd ye shall observe all my statutes, and all mine ordinances, and do them: I am Jehovah.

І ви будете держати всі постанови Мої та всі устави Мої, і виконуватимете їх. Я Господь!
