1 M y God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

Для дириґетна хору. На спів: „Ланя зорі досвітньої". Псалом Давидів. (22-2) Боже мій, Боже мій, нащо мене Ти покинув? Далекі слова мого зойку від спасіння мого!...

2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent.

(22-3) Мій Боже, взиваю я вдень, та Ти не озвешся, і кличу вночі, і спокою немає мені!

3 B ut thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

(22-4) Та Ти Святий, пробуваєш на хвалах ізраїлевих!

4 O ur fathers trusted in thee: They trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

(22-5) На Тебе надіялись наші батьки, надіялися і Ти визволив їх.

5 T hey cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame.

(22-6) До Тебе взивали вони і спасені були, на Тебе надіялися і не посоромились.

6 B ut I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.

(22-7) А я червяк, а не чоловік, посміховище людське й погорда в народі.

7 A ll they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

(22-8) Всі, хто бачить мене, насміхаються з мене, розкривають роти, головою хитають!

8 C ommit thyself unto Jehovah; Let him deliver him: Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.

(22-9) Покладався на Господа він, хай же рятує його, нехай Той його визволить, він бо Його уподобав!

9 B ut thou art he that took me out of the womb; Thou didst make me trust when I was upon my mother's breasts.

(22-10) Бо з утроби Ти вивів мене, Ти безпечним мене учинив був на персах матері моєї!

10 I was cast upon thee from the womb; Thou art my God since my mother bare me.

(22-11) На Тебе з утроби я зданий, від утроби матері моєї Ти мій Бог!

11 B e not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.

(22-12) Не віддаляйся від мене, бо горе близьке, бо нема мені помічника!

12 M any bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

(22-13) Багато биків оточили мене, башанські бугаї обступили мене,

13 T hey gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion.

(22-14) на мене розкрили вони свої пащі, як лев, що шматує й ричить!

14 I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

(22-15) Я розлитий, немов та вода, і всі кості мої поділились, стало серце моє, немов віск, розтопилось в моєму нутрі.

15 M y strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

(22-16) Висохла сила моя, як лушпиння, і прилип мій язик до мого піднебіння, і в порох смертельний поклав Ти мене.

16 F or dogs have compassed me: A company of evil-doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

(22-17) Бо пси оточили мене... обліг мене натовп злочинців, прокололи вони мої руки та ноги мої...

17 I may count all my bones; They look and stare upon me.

(22-18) Я висох, рахую всі кості свої, а вони придивляються й бачать нещастя в мені!

18 T hey part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots.

(22-19) Вони ділять для себе одежу мою, а про шату мою жеребка вони кидають...

19 B ut be not thou far off, O Jehovah: O thou my succor, haste thee to help me.

(22-20) А Ти, Господи, не віддаляйся, Допомого моя, поспіши ж мені на оборону!

20 D eliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.

(22-21) Від меча збережи мою душу, одиначку мою з руки пса!

21 S ave me from the lion's mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me.

(22-22) Спаси мене від пащі лев'ячої, а вбогу мою від рогів буйволів.

22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.

(22-23) Я звіщатиму Ймення Твоє своїм браттям, буду хвалити Тебе серед збору!

23 Y e that fear Jehovah, praise him; All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; And stand in awe of him, all ye the seed of Israel.

(22-24) Хто боїться Господа, прославляйте Його, увесь Яковів роде шануйте Його, страхайтесь Його, все насіння ізраїлеве,

24 F or he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.

(22-25) бо Він не погордував і не зневажив страждання убогого, і від нього обличчя Свого не сховав, а почув, як він кликав до Нього!

25 O f thee cometh my praise in the great assembly: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

(22-26) Від Тебе повстане хвала моя в зборі великім, принесу свої жертви в присутності тих, хто боїться Його,

26 T he meek shall eat and be satisfied; They shall praise Jehovah that seek after him: Let your heart live for ever.

(22-27) будуть їсти покірні і ситими стануть, хвалитимуть Господа ті, хто шукає Його, буде жить серце ваше навіки!

27 A ll the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah; And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

(22-28) Усі кінці землі спам'ятають, і до Господа вернуться, і вклоняться перед обличчям Його всі племена народів,

28 F or the kingdom is Jehovah's; And he is the ruler over the nations.

(22-29) бо царство Господнє, і Він Пан над народами!

29 A ll the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that cannot keep his soul alive.

(22-30) Будуть їсти й поклоняться всі багачі на землі, перед обличчям Його на коліна попадають всі, хто до пороху сходить і не може себе оживити!

30 A seed shall serve him; It shall be told of the Lord unto the next generation.

(22-31) Буде потомство служити Йому, й залічене буде навіки у Господа.

31 T hey shall come and shall declare his righteousness Unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done it.

(22-32) Прийдуть і будуть звіщать Його правду народові, який буде народжений, що Він це вчинив!
