А Ізраїлеві сини, за їхнім числом, голови батьківських родів і тисячники, і сотники та їхні урядники служили цареві щодо всякої справи відділів, що приходив та відходив місяць у місяць для всіх місяців року; один відділ мав двадцять і чотири тисячі.

А над відділом другого місяця Ахохівець Додай, а володар його відділу Міклот; а на його відділ ішло двадцять і чотири тисячі.

5 T he third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest, chief: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Третій зверхник війська на третій місяць священик Беная, голова, а на його відділ двадцять і чотири тисячі.

6 T his is that Benaiah, who was the mighty man of the thirty, and over the thirty: and of his course was Ammizabad his son.

Цей Беная лицар із тридцяти й над тридцятьма; а над його відділом був син його Аммізавад.

7 T he fourth captain for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Четвертий на місяць четвертий Асаїл, брат Йоавів, а по ньому син його Зевадія; а на його відділ двадцять і чотири тисячі.

8 T he fifth captain for this fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

П'ятий на місяць п'ятий зверхник ізрах'янин Шамут, а на його відділ двадцять і чотири тисячі.

9 T he sixth captain for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Шостий на місяць шостий Іра, син текоянина Іккеша, а на його відділ двадцять і чотири тисячі.

10 T he seventh captain for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Сьомий на місяць сьомий пелонянин Хелец з Єфремових синів, а на його відділ двадцять і чотири тисячі.

11 T he eighth captain for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Восьмий на місяць восьмий хушанин Сіббехай з Зерахівців, а на його відділ двадцять і чотири тисячі.

12 T he ninth captain for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

13 T he tenth captain for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

14 T he eleventh captain for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Одинадцятий на одинадцятий місяць пір'атонянин Беная з Єфремових синів, а на його відділ двадцять і чотири тисячі.

15 T he twelfth captain for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Дванадцятий на дванадцятий місяць нетоф'янин Хелдай з Отніїла, а на його відділ двадцять і чотири тисячі.

16 F urthermore over the tribes of Israel: of the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri the ruler: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maacah:

А над Ізраїлевими племенами були: для Рувимівців володар Еліезер, син Зіхрі; для Симеонівців Шефатія, син Маахи.

17 o f Levi, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel: of Aaron, Zadok:

Для Левія Хашавія, син Кемуїла, для Аарона Садок.

18 o f Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David: of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael:

Для Юди Елігу, з Давидових братів, для Іссахара Омрі, син Михаїлів.

19 o f Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: of Naphtali, Jeremoth the son of Azriel:

Для Завулона Їшмая, син Овадії, для Нефталима Єрімот син Азріїлів.

20 o f the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah:

Для Єфремових синів Осія, син Азазії, для половини Манасіїного племени Йоїл, син Педаї.

21 o f the half -tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:

Для половини Манасії в Ґілеаді Їддо, син Захарія, для Веніямина Яасіїл, син Авнерів.

22 o f Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These were the captains of the tribes of Israel.

Для Дана Азаріїл, син Єрохамів. Оце зверхники Ізраїлевих племен.

23 B ut David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Jehovah had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of heaven.

А Давид не перелічив їхнього числа від віку двадцяти літ і нижче, бо Господь сказав був, що розмножить Ізраїля, як зорі небесні.

24 J oab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but finished not; and there came wrath for this upon Israel; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David.

Йоав, син Церуїн, зачав був лічити, та не скінчив. І був за те гнів на Ізраїля, і не ввійшло те число в число хроніки царя Давида.

25 A nd over the king's treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the treasures in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah:

А над скарбами царськими Азмавет, Адіїлів син, а над скарбами на полі, у містах, і в селах та в баштах Єгонатан, син Уззійї.

26 A nd over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:

А над тими, що робили польову роботу, для праці, на землі Езрі, син Келувів.

27 a nd over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: and over the increase of the vineyards for the wine-cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:

А над виноградниками рам'янин Шім'ї, а над тим, що в виноградниках для запасів вина шефам'янин Завді.

28 a nd over the olive-trees and the sycomore-trees that were in the lowland was Baal-hanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:

А над оливками та над сикоморами, що в Шефелі, ґедерянин Баал-Ханан; а над скарбами оливи Йоаш.

29 a nd over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:

А над великою худобою, що пасеться в Шароні, шаронянин Шітрай, а над великою худобою в долинах Шафат, син Адлаїв.

30 a nd over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite: and over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite.

А над верблюдами їзмаїльтянин Овіл, а над ослицями меронотянин Єхдея.

31 A ll these were the rulers of the substance which was king David's.

А над дрібною худобою гаґрянин Язіз. Усі оці зверхники маєтку, що мав цар Давид.

32 A lso Jonathan, David's uncle, was a counsellor, a man of understanding, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons:

А Йонатан, Давидів дядько, був радник, він чоловік розумний та писар. А Єхіїл, син Нахмоніїв, був із царськими синами.

33 A nd Ahithophel was the king's counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the king's friend:

А Ахітофель радник цареві, а арк'янин Хушай приятель царів.

34 a nd after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the captain of the king's host was Joab.

А по Ахітофелю Єгояда, син Бенаї, та Евіятар, а зверхник царського війська Йоав.
