1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

2 M ake thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them: and thou shalt use them for the calling of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps.

Зроби собі дві срібні сурмі, куттям зробиш їх; і будуть вони тобі на скликання громади та на рушання таборів.

3 A nd when they shall blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves unto thee at the door of the tent of meeting.

І засурмлять у них, і збереться до тебе громада при вході скинії зборів.

4 A nd if they blow but one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.

А якщо засурмлять в одну, то зберуться до тебе начальники, голови Ізраїлевих тисяч.

5 A nd when ye blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall take their journey.

А засурмлять на сполох, то рушать табори, що таборують на сході.

6 A nd when ye blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

А засурмите на сполох удруге, то рушать табори, що таборують на півдні, будуть сурмити на сполох, щоб рушали вони.

7 B ut when the assembly is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

А на скликання зборів засурмите, але без сполоху.

8 A nd the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and they shall be to you for a statute for ever throughout your generations.

А сурмити в сурми будуть Ааронові сини, священики. І ці сурмлення будуть для вас на вічну постанову для ваших поколінь.

9 A nd when ye go to war in your land against the adversary that oppresseth you, then ye shall sound an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

А коли підете війною в вашому Краю на ворога, що гнобить вас, і засурмите на сполох, то ви будете згадані перед лицем Господа, Бога вашого, і будете спасені від ваших ворогів.

10 A lso in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am Jehovah your God.

А в день вашої радости, і в ваші свята та першого дня ваших місяців засурмите в ті сурми на ваших цілопаленнях та на мирних жертвах ваших, і вони будуть вам на пригад перед лицем вашого Бога. Я Господь, Бог ваш!

11 A nd it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.

І сталося, другого року, другого місяця, дванадцятого дня місяця піднялася хмара з-над скинії свідоцтва.

12 A nd the children of Israel set forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud abode in the wilderness of Paran.

І рушили Ізраїлеві сини з Сінайської пустині на походи свої, і хмара спинилася в пустині Паран.

13 A nd they first took their journey according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.

І рушили вони вперше за Господнім наказом через Мойсея.

14 A nd in the first place the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

І найперш рушив прапор табору синів Юдиних за своїми військовими відділами, а над військом його Нахшон, син Аммінадавів.

15 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.

А над військом племени синів Іссахара Натанаїл, син Цуарів.

16 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.

А над військом племени Завулонових синів Еліяв, син Хелонів.

17 A nd the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bare the tabernacle, set forward.

І була розібрана скинія, і рушили Ґершонові сини та сини Мерарієві, носії скинії.

18 A nd the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.

І рушив прапор табору Рувима за своїми військовими відділами, а над військом його Еліцур, син Шедеурів.

19 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

А над військом племени Симеонових синів Шелуміїл, син Цурішаддаїв.

20 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

А над військом племени Ґадових синів Ел'ясаф, син Деуїлів.

21 A nd the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the others did set up the tabernacle against their coming.

І рушили сини Кегатові, носії святині, та й поставили скинію до приходу їх, усіх інших.

22 A nd the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.

І рушив прапор табору синів Єфремових за своїми військовими відділами, а над військом його Елішама, син Аммігудів.

23 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

А над військом племени синів Манасіїних Гамаліїл, син Педацурів.

24 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.

А над військом племени Веніяминових синів Авідан, син Ґідеонів.

25 A nd the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rearward of all the camps, set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

І рушив прапор табору синів Данових як задня сторожа для всіх таборів за своїми військовими відділами, а над військом його Ахіезер, син Аммішаддаїв.

26 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran.

А над військом племени Асирових синів Паґ'іїл, син Охрана.

27 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.

А над військом племени синів Нефталимових Ахіра, син Енанів.

28 T hus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their hosts; and they set forward.

Оце походи Ізраїлевих синів за їхніми військовими відділами. І рушили вони.

29 A nd Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel.

І сказав Мойсей до Ховава, сина мідіянітянина Реуїла, Мойсеєвого тестя: Ми рушаємо до того місця, що про нього Господь був сказав: Його дам вам. Ходи ж із нами, і ми зробимо тобі добро, бо Господь промовляв був добро про Ізраїля.

30 A nd he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.

Та той відказав йому: Не піду, але піду до краю свого та до місця своєї батьківщини.

31 A nd he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou shalt be to us instead of eyes.

А Мойсей відказав: Не покидай нас, бо через те, що ти знаєш наше таборування в пустині, то будеш нам очима.

32 A nd it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what good soever Jehovah shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.

І станеться, коли підеш із нами, то те добро, що Господь учинить нам, ми його вчинимо тобі.

33 A nd they set forward from the mount of Jehovah three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting-place for them.

І рушили вони від Господньої гори триденною дорогою. А ковчег заповіту Господнього рушав перед ними триденною дорогою, щоб вивідати для них місце спинитися.

34 A nd the cloud of Jehovah was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

А хмара Господня була над ними вдень, коли вони рушали з табору.

35 A nd it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, O Jehovah, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.

І бувало, коли ковчег вирушав, то Мойсей промовляв: Устань же, о Господи, і хай розпорошаться Твої вороги, і хай повтікають Твої ненависники з-перед Твойого лиця.

36 A nd when it rested, he said, Return, O Jehovah, unto the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.

А коли він ставав, то говорив: Вернися, о Господи, до десятьтисячок тисяч Ізраїля!
