1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Domnul i-a zis lui Moise:

2 M ake thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them: and thou shalt use them for the calling of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps.

„Fă două trâmbiţe din argint; să le faci din argint bătut şi să le foloseşti pentru chemarea adunării şi pentru pornirea taberelor.

3 A nd when they shall blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves unto thee at the door of the tent of meeting.

Când se va suna din ele, toată adunarea să vină înaintea ta, la intrarea în Cortul Întâlnirii.

4 A nd if they blow but one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.

Când se va suna doar dintr-o singură trâmbiţă, să vină la tine doar conducătorii, căpeteniile miilor lui Israel.

5 A nd when ye blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall take their journey.

Când veţi suna alarma, să pornească taberele din partea de răsărit;

6 A nd when ye blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

când veţi suna a doua alarmă, să pornească taberele din partea de sud. Să se sune alarma ori de câte ori pornesc.

7 B ut when the assembly is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

Când veţi strânge laolaltă adunarea, să sunaţi, dar să nu sunaţi ca la alarmă.

8 A nd the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and they shall be to you for a statute for ever throughout your generations.

Fiii lui Aaron, preoţii, să sune din trâmbiţe; aceasta să fie o poruncă veşnică pentru voi şi pentru urmaşii voştri.

9 A nd when ye go to war in your land against the adversary that oppresseth you, then ye shall sound an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

Când veţi merge la război în ţara voastră, împotriva duşmanului care vă asupreşte, să sunaţi alarma din trâmbiţe şi Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, Îşi va aduce aminte de voi şi vă va elibera de duşmanii voştri.

10 A lso in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am Jehovah your God.

De asemenea, în zilele voastre de bucurie, la sărbătorile voastre periodice, să sunaţi din trâmbiţe peste arderile voastre de tot şi peste jertfele de pace; ele vor face ca Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, să Îşi aducă aminte de voi. Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru.“ Poporul părăseşte Sinaiul

11 A nd it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.

În al doilea an, în luna a doua, în a douăzecea zi a lunii, norul s-a ridicat de pe Tabernaculul Mărturiei.

12 A nd the children of Israel set forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud abode in the wilderness of Paran.

Atunci israeliţii au pornit din pustia Sinai în călătoriile lor; norul s-a aşezat în pustia Paran.

13 A nd they first took their journey according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.

Era pentru prima oară când porneau la porunca Domnului dată prin Moise.

14 A nd in the first place the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

Steagul taberei lui Iuda a pornit primul, oştire după oştire; Nahşon, fiul lui Aminadab, era peste toată oştirea.

15 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.

Peste oştirea seminţiei lui Isahar era Netanel, fiul lui Ţuar;

16 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.

peste oştirea seminţiei lui Zabulon era Eliab, fiul lui Helon.

17 A nd the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bare the tabernacle, set forward.

După ce a fost coborât Tabernaculul, fiii lui Gherşon şi fiii lui Merari au pornit ducând Tabernaculul.

18 A nd the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.

Apoi a pornit steagul taberei lui Ruben, oştire după oştire; Eliţur, fiul lui Şedeur era peste toată oştirea.

19 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

Şelumiel, fiul lui Ţurişadai, era peste seminţia lui Simeon,

20 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

iar peste oştirea seminţiei lui Gad era Elisaf, fiul lui Deuel.

21 A nd the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the others did set up the tabernacle against their coming.

Apoi au pornit chehatiţii, care duceau lucrurile sfinte; Tabernaculul fusese pregătit înainte ca ei să sosească.

22 A nd the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.

Apoi a pornit steagul taberei fiilor lui Efraim, oştire după oştire; Elişama, fiul lui Amihud era peste toată oştirea.

23 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

Gamaliel, fiul lui Pedahţur, era peste oştirea seminţiei lui Manase,

24 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.

iar Abidan, fiul lui Ghidoni, era peste oştirea seminţiei lui Beniamin.

25 A nd the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rearward of all the camps, set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

Apoi a pornit steagul taberei lui Dan, care forma ariergarda tuturor taberelor, oştire după oştire; Ahiezer, fiul lui Amişadai, era peste toată oştirea.

26 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran.

Paghiel, fiul lui Ocran, era peste toată oştirea seminţiei lui Aşer,

27 A nd over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.

iar peste oştirea seminţiei lui Neftali era Ahira, fiul lui Enan.

28 T hus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their hosts; and they set forward.

Aceasta a fost ordinea de marş a israeliţilor când au pornit oştire după oştire.

29 A nd Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel.

Moise i-a zis lui Hobab, fiul midianitului Reuel, socrul lui Moise: – Pornim către locul despre care Domnul a zis: „Vi-l voi da vouă!“ Vino cu noi şi-ţi vom face bine, căci Domnul i-a promis binele lui Israel.

30 A nd he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.

Dar el i-a răspuns: – Nu, eu nu voi merge, ci mă voi întoarce în ţara mea şi la rudele mele.

31 A nd he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou shalt be to us instead of eyes.

Moise însă i-a zis: – Te rog, nu ne părăsi, pentru că tu ştii unde putem să ne aşezăm tabăra în pustie şi astfel vei fi ca ochii pentru noi.

32 A nd it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what good soever Jehovah shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.

Dacă vei merge cu noi, te vom face părtaş la orice bine pe care ni-l va face Domnul.

33 A nd they set forward from the mount of Jehovah three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting-place for them.

Şi astfel, ei au pornit de la muntele Domnului şi au mers cale de trei zile. Chivotul Legământului cu Domnul a mers înaintea lor cale de trei zile ca să le caute un loc de odihnă.

34 A nd the cloud of Jehovah was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

Norul Domnului era peste ei în ziua când au pornit din tabără.

35 A nd it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, O Jehovah, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.

Ori de câte ori Chivotul pornea, Moise zicea: „Ridică-Te, Doamne! Duşmanii Tăi să fie împrăştiaţi şi cei ce Te urăsc să fugă dinaintea feţei Tale!“

36 A nd when it rested, he said, Return, O Jehovah, unto the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.

Şi când se oprea să se odihnească, el zicea: „Întoarce-te, Doamne, la mulţimea miilor lui Israel!“
