1 J ehovah reigneth; let the peoples tremble: He sitteth above the cherubim; let the earth be moved.

Domnul împărăţeşte! Să tremure popoarele! El tronează deasupra heruvimilor! Să se cutremure pământul!

2 J ehovah is great in Zion; And he is high above all the peoples.

Domnul este mare în Sion; El este înălţat peste popoare.

3 L et them praise thy great and terrible name: Holy is he.

Lăudaţi Numele Lui cel mare şi înfricoşător: El este sfânt!

4 T he king's strength also loveth justice; Thou dost establish equity; Thou executest justice and righteousness in Jacob.

Împăratul este puternic şi iubeşte dreptatea. Tu ai statornicit nepărtinirea; Tu ai făcut judecată şi dreptate în Iacov.

5 E xalt ye Jehovah our God, And worship at his footstool: Holy is he.

Înălţaţi-L pe Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru, şi închinaţi-vă înaintea aşternutului picioarelor Sale: El este sfânt!

6 M oses and Aaron among his priests, And Samuel among them that call upon his name; They called upon Jehovah, and he answered them.

Moise şi Aaron erau dintre preoţii Săi, iar Samuel – dintre cei ce-I chemau Numele; ei L-au chemat pe Domnul şi El le-a răspuns.

7 H e spake unto them in the pillar of cloud: They kept his testimonies, And the statute that he gave them.

Le-a vorbit din stâlpul de nor, iar ei au păzit mărturiile şi poruncile pe care El le-a dat.

8 T hou answeredst them, O Jehovah our God: Thou wast a God that forgavest them, Though thou tookest vengeance of their doings.

Doamne, Dumnezeul nostru, Tu le-ai răspuns; ai fost pentru ei un Dumnezeu Care iartă, dar şi Unul Care te-ai răzbunat pe ei din cauza faptelor lor rele.

9 E xalt ye Jehovah our God, And worship at his holy hill; For Jehovah our God is holy.

Înălţaţi pe Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru, şi închinaţi-vă pe muntele Lui cel sfânt, căci Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru, este sfânt!
