Este un râu ale cărui izvoare înveselesc cetatea lui Dumnezeu, Locul Sfânt al locuinţelor Celui Preaînalt.

5 G od is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God will help her, and that right early.

Câtă vreme este Dumnezeu în mijlocul ei, ea nu se clatină; Dumnezeu îi vine în ajutor la fiecare revărsat al zorilor.

6 T he nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered his voice, the earth melted.

Neamurile se agită, regatele se clatină; când Îşi ridică El glasul, pământul se topeşte.

8 C ome, behold the works of Jehovah, What desolations he hath made in the earth.

Veniţi şi priviţi lucrările Domnului, prin care El a pustiit pământul!

9 H e maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariots in the fire.

El opreşte războaiele până la capătul lumii, zdrobeşte arcul, rupe lancea şi arde în foc carele.

10 B e still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

„Opriţi-vă şi recunoaşteţi că Eu sunt Dumnezeu! Eu voi fi înălţat printre neamuri, voi fi înălţat pe pământ!“
