1 A nd thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal:

„Fiul omului, profeţeşte împotriva lui Gog şi spune că aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Iată, sunt împotriva ta, Gog, prinţ conducător al Meşekului şi al Tubalului!

2 a nd I will turn thee about, and will lead thee on, and will cause thee to come up from the uttermost parts of the north; and I will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel;

Te voi întoarce, te voi conduce, te voi lua din părţile îndepărtate ale nordului şi te voi aduce împotriva munţilor lui Israel.

3 a nd I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.

Îţi voi rupe arcul din mâna stângă şi voi face să-ţi cadă săgeţile din mâna dreaptă.

4 T hou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy hordes, and the peoples that are with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

Tu, toate hoardele tale şi popoarele care vor fi cu tine veţi cădea pe munţii lui Israel. Te voi da ca hrană păsărilor de pradă de tot felul şi fiarelor câmpului.

5 T hou shalt fall upon the open field; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Vei cădea pe suprafaţa câmpului, căci Eu am vorbit, zice Stăpânul Domn.

6 A nd I will send a fire on Magog, and on them that dwell securely in the isles; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

Voi trimite foc împotriva lui Magog şi împotriva celor ce locuiesc în siguranţă în ostroave şi vor şti astfel că Eu sunt Domnul.

7 A nd my holy name will I make known in the midst of my people Israel; neither will I suffer my holy name to be profaned any more: and the nations shall know that I am Jehovah, the Holy One in Israel.

Îmi voi face cunoscut Numele Meu cel sfânt în mijlocul poporului Meu, Israel, şi nu voi mai lăsa să fie profanat Numele Meu cel sfânt! Atunci popoarele vor şti că Eu sunt Domnul, Sfântul lui Israel.

8 B ehold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord Jehovah; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

Iată că vine! Se va întâmpla întocmai, zice Stăpânul Domn. Aceasta este ziua despre care am vorbit!

9 A nd they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall make fires of the weapons and burn them, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall make fires of them seven years;

Atunci locuitorii cetăţilor lui Israel vor ieşi şi vor face foc din armamentul de război; vor face foc din scuturile mici şi din cele mari, din arcuri, din săgeţi, din măciuci şi din lănci şi vor întreţine focul cu ele timp de şapte ani.

10 s o that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall make fires of the weapons; and they shall plunder those that plundered them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Nu vor mai avea nevoie să ia lemne de pe câmp sau să taie lemne din păduri, căci vor face foc din armamentul de război. Îi vor prăda pe cei ce i-au prădat şi îi vor jefui pe cei ce i-au jefuit, zice Stăpânul Domn.

11 A nd it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place for burial in Israel, the valley of them that pass through on the east of the sea; and it shall stop them that pass through: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog.

În ziua aceea, îi voi da lui Gog un loc de înmormântare în Israel, şi anume valea celor care călătoresc, la răsărit, spre mare. Acest loc va bloca trecerea călătorilor, căci acolo îl vor înmormânta pe Gog împreună cu întreaga lui mulţime. Valea aceea o vor numi valea Hamon-Gog.

12 A nd seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land.

Şapte luni de zile îi vor trebui Casei lui Israel ca să-i înmormânteze şi să cureţe ţara.

13 Y ea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown in the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Tot poporul ţării îi va înmormânta şi i se va duce vestea în ziua când voi fi proslăvit, zice Stăpânul Domn.

14 A nd they shall set apart men of continual employment, that shall pass through the land, and, with them that pass through, those that bury them that remain upon the face of the land, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.

Vor alege oameni care să străbată ţara neîncetat şi să înmormânteze trupurile rămase pe suprafaţa pământului, ca să cureţe astfel ţara. La sfârşitul celor şapte luni ei vor începe să caute.

15 A nd they that pass through the land shall pass through; and when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.

Când cei ce vor străbate ţara vor vedea oasele unui om, vor ridica un semn lângă el, până când cei ce sapă mormintele îl vor înmormânta în valea Hamon-Gog.

16 A nd Hamonah shall also be the name of a city. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

Va fi acolo şi o cetate al cărei nume este Hamona. Aşa vor curăţa ei ţara!»

17 A nd thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Speak unto the birds of every sort, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh and drink blood.

Fiul omului, aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Spune-le păsărilor de tot felul şi tuturor fiarelor câmpului astfel: ‘Adunaţi-vă! Veniţi! Strângeţi-vă din toate părţile pentru jertfa pe care o înjunghii pentru voi, o jertfă mare pe munţii lui Israel! Acolo veţi mânca carne şi veţi bea sânge.

18 Y e shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

Veţi mânca carnea celor viteji şi veţi bea sângele prinţilor pământului, ca şi cum ar fi berbeci, miei, ţapi şi tauri – toate animale îngrăşate din Başan.

19 A nd ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

Din jertfa pe care o voi înjunghia pentru voi veţi mânca grăsime pe săturate şi veţi bea sânge până vă veţi îmbăta.

20 A nd ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Vă veţi sătura la masa Mea de carnea cailor şi a călăreţilor, de carnea celor viteji şi a ostaşilor de tot felul!’», zice Stăpânul Domn.

21 A nd I will set my glory among the nations; and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

Îmi voi arăta slava printre neamuri şi toate neamurile vor vedea judecata pe care o voi aduce şi mâna pe care o voi întinde împotriva lor.

22 S o the house of Israel shall know that I am Jehovah their God, from that day and forward.

Începând din acea zi, cei din Casa lui Israel vor şti că Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul lor.

23 A nd the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they trespassed against me, and I hid my face from them: so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they fell all of them by the sword.

Şi neamurile vor înţelege că cei din Casa lui Israel au fost duşi în exil din cauza fărădelegilor lor, prin care au fost necredincioşi faţă de Mine. De aceea Mi-am ascuns faţa de ei, i-am dat pe mâna duşmanilor lor şi au căzut cu toţii răpuşi de sabie.

24 A ccording to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions did I unto them; and I hid my face from them.

M-am purtat cu ei după necurăţia lor şi după nelegiuirile lor şi Mi-am ascuns faţa de ei.“

25 T herefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name.

Totuşi aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: „Acum însă, îi voi aduce înapoi pe captivii lui Iacov, voi avea milă de toată Casa lui Israel şi voi fi zelos pentru Numele Meu cel sfânt.

26 A nd they shall bear their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they shall dwell securely in their land, and none shall make them afraid;

Atunci îşi vor purta ruşinea şi toate faptele lor de necredincioşie pe care le-au săvârşit împotriva Mea când locuiau în ţară în siguranţă şi nu-i înspăimânta nimeni.

27 w hen I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations.

Când îi voi aduce înapoi dintre popoare şi îi voi aduna din ţările duşmanilor lor, Mă voi arăta sfânt prin ei înaintea multor neamuri.

28 A nd they shall know that I am Jehovah their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them unto their own land; and I will leave none of them any more there;

Şi vor şti astfel că Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul lor, Care i-am trimis în exil printre neamuri, dar Care i-am strâns apoi în ţara lor, fără să mai las nici unul în captivitate.

29 n either will I hide my face any more from them; for I have poured out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Nu-Mi voi mai ascunde faţa de ei, căci voi turna Duhul Meu peste cei din Casa lui Israel, zice Stăpânul Domn.“
