1 B less Jehovah, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Suflete al meu, binecuvântează-L pe Domnul, şi tot ce este în mine să binecuvânteze Numele Lui cel sfânt!

2 B less Jehovah, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits:

Suflete al meu, binecuvântează-L pe Domnul şi nu uita nici una din binefacerile Lui!

3 W ho forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;

El îţi iartă toate nelegiuirile, îţi vindecă toate bolile,

4 W ho redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

îţi răscumpără viaţa din groapă, te învăluie cu îndurare şi milă,

5 W ho satisfieth thy desire with good things, So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle.

îţi satură de bunătăţi dorinţele şi astfel te face să întinereşti ca vulturul.

6 J ehovah executeth righteous acts, And judgments for all that are oppressed.

Domnul le face dreptate şi judecată tuturor celor asupriţi.

7 H e made known his ways unto Moses, His doings unto the children of Israel.

El Şi-a descoperit căile Sale lui Moise şi lucrările Sale – fiilor lui Israel.

8 J ehovah is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness.

Domnul este îndurător şi milostiv, încet la mânie şi bogat în îndurare.

9 H e will not always chide; Neither will he keep his anger for ever.

El nu se ceartă veşnic şi nu ţine mânie pe vecie.

10 H e hath not dealt with us after our sins, Nor rewarded us after our iniquities.

El nu ne face după păcatele noastre şi nu ne răsplăteşte după nelegiuirile noastre,

11 F or as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is his lovingkindness toward them that fear him.

ci cât de înalte sunt cerurile faţă de pământ, tot atât de mare este şi îndurarea Lui pentru cei ce se tem de El;

12 A s far as the east is from the west, So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

cât de departe este răsăritul de apus, tot atât de mult îndepărtează El fărădelegile noastre de la noi.

13 L ike as a father pitieth his children, So Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.

Cum se îndură un tată de copiii lui, aşa se îndură Domnul de cei ce se tem de El,

14 F or he knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.

căci El ştie din ce suntem făcuţi; Îşi aminteşte că suntem ţărână.

15 A s for man, his days are as grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

Cât despre om, zilele lui sunt ca iarba. Înfloreşte ca floarea de pe câmp,

16 F or the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; And the place thereof shall know it no more.

iar când trece un vânt peste ea, nu mai este şi nu i se mai cunoaşte locul unde a fost.

17 B ut the lovingkindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, And his righteousness unto children's children;

Însă îndurarea Domnului este din veşnicie în veşnicie pentru cei ce se tem de El, iar dreptatea Lui, pentru copiii copiilor lor,

18 T o such as keep his covenant, And to those that remember his precepts to do them.

pentru cei ce păzesc legământul Lui şi pentru cei ce îşi amintesc poruncile Lui, ca să le împlinească.

19 J ehovah hath established his throne in the heavens; And his kingdom ruleth over all.

Domnul Şi-a statornicit tronul în ceruri, iar domnia Lui îi cuprinde pe toţi.

20 B less Jehovah, ye his angels, That are mighty in strength, that fulfil his word, Hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Binecuvântaţi-L pe Domnul, îngeri ai Lui tari în putere, care-I împliniţi porunca, care ascultaţi glasul cuvântului Lui!

21 B less Jehovah, all ye his hosts, Ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

Binecuvântaţi-L pe Domnul, toate oştile Lui, slujitorii Lui, care-I împliniţi voia!

22 B less Jehovah, all ye his works, In all places of his dominion: Bless Jehovah, O my soul.

Binecuvântaţi-L pe Domnul, toate lucrările Lui, din toate locurile stăpânirii Lui! Suflete al meu, binecuvântează-L pe Domnul!
