1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Domnul i-a zis lui Moise:

2 S peak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, which they hallow unto me, and that they profane not my holy name: I am Jehovah.

„Spune-le lui Aaron şi fiilor săi să aibă respect faţă de lucrurile sfinte care-Mi sunt închinate de către israeliţi şi să nu profaneze Numele Meu cel sfânt. Eu sunt Domnul.

3 S ay unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed throughout your generations, that approacheth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto Jehovah, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from before me: I am Jehovah.

Să le spui: «Dacă vreunul dintre urmaşii voştri din generaţiile viitoare se va apropia, în timp ce va fi necurat, de lucrurile sfinte, pe care israeliţii le dau Domnului, atunci omul acela să fie nimicit din prezenţa Mea. Eu sunt Domnul.

4 W hat man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath an issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth anything that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;

Nici unul dintre urmaşii lui Aaron care va avea o rană de lepră sau care va suferi de vreo scurgere, să nu mănânce din lucrurile sfinte până nu va fi curat. Oricine va atinge vreun lucru care a devenit necurat din cauza unui trup mort sau a unui bărbat care a avut o scurgere de sămânţă,

5 o r whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath;

oricine va atinge vreun animal care mişună, prin care poate ajunge necurat sau vreun om prin care poate ajunge necurat, oricare ar fi necurăţia lui,

6 t he soul that toucheth any such shall be unclean until the even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his flesh in water.

acela care va atinge un astfel de lucru va fi necurat până seara. El nu va putea mânca din lucrurile sfinte până nu-şi va spăla trupul cu apă.

7 A nd when the sun is down, he shall be clean; and afterward he shall eat of the holy things, because it is his bread.

La asfinţitul soarelui va fi curat; după aceea va putea mânca din lucrurile sfinte, căci acestea sunt hrana sa.

8 T hat which dieth of itself, or is torn of beasts, he shall not eat, to defile himself therewith: I am Jehovah.

Să nu mănânce din ceva mort sau din ceea ce a fost sfâşiat de animalele sălbatice, ca să nu ajungă necurat. Eu sunt Domnul.

9 T hey shall therefore keep my charge, lest they bear sin for it, and die therein, if they profane it: I am Jehovah who sanctifieth them.

Preoţii să păzească poruncile Mele ca să nu se încarce cu păcat şi să moară din cauză că le-au necinstit. Eu sunt Domnul; Eu îi sfinţesc.

10 T here shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest's, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.

Nici un om care nu este preot să nu mănânce din lucrurile sfinte. Nici oaspetele şi nici cel angajat de preot ca ziler să nu mănânce din lucrurile sfinte.

11 B ut if a priest buy any soul, the purchase of his money, he shall eat of it; and such as are born in his house, they shall eat of his bread.

Dar dacă preotul îşi va cumpăra un sclav cu argintul său, acesta va putea să mănânce; de asemenea, sclavii născuţi în familia sa vor putea să mănânce din hrana lui.

12 A nd if a priest's daughter be married unto a stranger, she shall not eat of the heave-offering of the holy things.

Dacă fiica unui preot se va căsători cu un bărbat care nu este preot, ea nu va putea mânca din darurile sfinte.

13 B ut if a priest's daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and be returned unto her father's house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father's bread: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.

Dar fiica unui preot care a rămas văduvă sau care este divorţată neavând copii şi care s-a întors în casa tatălui ei ca în tinereţe, va putea să mănânce din hrana tatălui ei. Însă nici un om care nu este preot să nu o mănânce.

14 A nd if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give unto the priest the holy thing.

Dacă un om va mânca din lucrurile sfinte fără să-şi dea seama, atunci el va trebui să dea preotului preţul lucrului sfânt şi să adauge încă o cincime la el.

15 A nd they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto Jehovah,

Preoţii să nu profaneze lucrurile sfinte pe care israeliţii le aduc Domnului,

16 a nd so cause them to bear the iniquity that bringeth guilt, when they eat their holy things: for I am Jehovah who sanctifieth them.

dându-le voie acestora să mănânce din ele, fiindcă ar aduce asupra lor un păcat de care s-ar face vinovaţi; căci Eu sunt Domnul Care îi sfinţesc.“ Jertfele să fie fără meteahnă

17 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Domnul i-a zis lui Moise:

18 S peak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whosoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners in Israel, that offereth his oblation, whether it be any of their vows, or any of their freewill-offerings, which they offer unto Jehovah for a burnt-offering;

„Spune-le lui Aaron, fiilor săi şi tuturor israeliţilor: «Toţi bărbaţii din casa lui Israel şi toţi străinii din Israel care vor dori să aducă o ardere de tot Domnului, fie ca jertfă pentru împlinirea jurămintelor lor, fie ca daruri de bunăvoie,

19 t hat ye may be accepted, ye shall offer a male without blemish, of the bullocks, of the sheep, or of the goats.

să ia un mascul fără meteahnă dintre vite, oi sau capre, după cum doresc şi să-l jertfească.

20 B ut whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.

Să nu aduceţi nici o jertfă care are vreo meteahnă, pentru că nu va fi primită de la voi.

21 A nd whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace-offerings unto Jehovah to accomplish a vow, or for a freewill-offering, of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.

Când cineva va aduce Domnului o jertfă de pace pentru împlinirea unui jurământ deosebit sau ca dar de bunăvoie, din cireadă sau din turmă, va trebui ca aceasta să fie desăvârşită pentru a fi primită; să nu aibă nici o meteahnă.

22 B lind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto Jehovah, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto Jehovah.

Cele oarbe, lovite, mutilate, cele care au vreo scurgere, râie sau bube pe piele să nu le jertfiţi Domnului şi să nu le puneţi pe altar ca jertfe mistuite de foc pentru Domnul.

23 E ither a bullock or a lamb that hath anything superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill-offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

Pentru un dar de bunăvoie veţi putea aduce un bou sau un miel care are un mădular mai lung sau mai scurt, însă ca jertfă pentru împlinirea unui jurământ el nu va fi primit.

24 T hat which hath its stones bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut, ye shall not offer unto Jehovah; neither shall ye do thus in your land.

Orice animal care are vreo parte lovită, zdrobită, sfâşiată sau tăiată să nu-l jertfiţi Domnului; să nu aduceţi asemenea jertfe în ţara voastră

25 N either from the hand of a foreigner shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them: they shall not be accepted for you.

şi să nu primiţi vreun astfel de animal de la un străin pentru a-l aduce ca hrană Dumnezeului vostru; fiindcă sunt mutilate şi au meteahnă, ele nu vor fi primite de la voi.»“

26 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Domnul i-a mai zis lui Moise:

27 W hen a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for the oblation of an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.

„Când se naşte un viţel, un miel sau un ied, acesta trebuie să rămână şapte zile cu mama lui, după care, începând cu ziua a opta, poate fi primit ca jertfă mistuită de foc pentru Domnul.

28 A nd whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and its young both in one day.

Vaca, oaia sau capra să nu le înjunghiaţi în aceeaşi zi cu fătul lor.

29 A nd when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto Jehovah, ye shall sacrifice it that ye may be accepted.

Când veţi aduce o jertfă de mulţumire pentru Domnul, să o jertfiţi în aşa fel încât să fie primită de la voi.

30 O n the same day it shall be eaten; ye shall leave none of it until the morning: I am Jehovah.

Să fie mâncată în aceeaşi zi; să nu lăsaţi nimic din ea până dimineaţă. Eu sunt Domnul.

31 T herefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am Jehovah.

Să păziţi poruncile Mele şi să le împliniţi. Eu sunt Domnul.

32 A nd ye shall not profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am Jehovah who halloweth you,

Să nu profanaţi Numele Meu cel sfânt, ca să fiu sfinţit în mijlocul israeliţilor. Eu sunt Domnul Care vă sfinţesc,

33 w ho brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am Jehovah.

Eu, Cel Care v-am scos din ţara Egiptului ca să fiu Dumnezeul vostru: Eu sunt Domnul. “
