1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

Domnul i-a zis lui Moise pe muntele Sinai:

2 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto Jehovah.

„Spune-le israeliţilor: «Când veţi intra în ţara pe care v-o dau, pământul să ţină un Sabat în cinstea Domnului.

3 S ix years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruits thereof;

Şase ani să-ţi semeni ogorul şi şase ani să-ţi tai via şi să-i strângi roadele,

4 b ut in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath unto Jehovah: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

dar în al şaptelea an să ţii un Sabat deplin pentru pământ, un Sabat în cinstea Domnului: să nu-ţi semeni ogorul şi să nu-ţi tai via.

5 T hat which groweth of itself of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, and the grapes of thy undressed vine thou shalt not gather: it shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.

Să nu culegi ce va ieşi după seceriş şi să nu aduni strugurii viei tale netăiate; să fie un an de odihnă pentru pământ.

6 A nd the sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for thee, and for thy servant and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant and for thy stranger, who sojourn with thee.

Să mănânci ceea ce va ieşi de la sine din pământ în timpul anului de odihnă, atât tu, cât şi sclavul sau sclava ta, zilerul, peregrinul,

7 A nd for thy cattle, and for the beasts that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be for food.

vitele tale şi animalele sălbatice din ţară; tot ce va ieşi din pământ să vă slujească drept hrană. Reglementări privind celebrarea anului de veselie

8 A nd thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and there shall be unto thee the days of seven sabbaths of years, even forty and nine years.

Să numeri şapte rânduri de sabat al anilor, adică de şapte ori şapte ani; aşadar şapte rânduri de sabat al anilor sunt patruzeci şi nouă de ani.

9 T hen shalt thou send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month; in the day of atonement shall ye send abroad the trumpet throughout all your land.

Apoi să pui să se sune tare din trâmbiţă; în ziua a zecea a lunii a şaptea, în Ziua Ispăşirii, să se sune din trâmbiţă în toată ţara.

10 A nd ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

Să sfinţiţi cel de-al cincizecilea an şi să vestiţi libertatea în ţară pentru toţi locuitorii ei. Acesta să fie pentru voi anul de veselie: fiecare din voi să se întoarcă la proprietatea lui şi fiecare din voi să se întoarcă la clanul lui.

11 A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of the undressed vines.

Anul al cincizecilea să fie pentru voi anul de veselie: să nu semănaţi, să nu culegeţi ce creşte după seceriş şi să nu culegeţi viile netăiate.

12 F or it is a jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

Acesta este anul de veselie – să fie sfânt pentru voi; să mâncaţi doar ceea ce va creşte de la sine pe ogor.

13 I n this year of jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession.

În acest an de veselie să vă întoarceţi, fiecare din voi, la proprietatea voastră.

14 A nd if thou sell aught unto thy neighbor, or buy of thy neighbor's hand, ye shall not wrong one another.

Când veţi vinde ceva semenului vostru sau când veţi cumpăra de la semenul vostru, să nu vă înşelaţi unul pe altul.

15 A ccording to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbor, and according unto the number of years of the crops he shall sell unto thee.

Când veţi cumpăra de la semenul vostru, să plătiţi socotind anii de la anul de veselie, iar cel care vă va vinde să ceară un preţ, ţinând cont de anii care mai rămân pentru cules.

16 A ccording to the multitude of the years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of the years thou shalt diminish the price of it; for the number of the crops doth he sell unto thee.

Dacă anii sunt mulţi, atunci să ridici preţul, iar dacă anii sunt puţini, să scazi preţul, pentru că ţi se vinde un anumit număr de secerişuri.

17 A nd ye shall not wrong one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am Jehovah your God.

Să nu vă înşelaţi unul pe altul, ci să vă temeţi de Dumnezeul vostru. Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru.

18 W herefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep mine ordinances and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

Să împliniţi poruncile Mele, să păziţi legile Mele şi să le înfăptuiţi, ca să trăiţi în siguranţă în ţară.

19 A nd the land shall yield its fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

Ţara îşi va da rodul, iar voi veţi mânca şi veţi trăi în siguranţă în ea.

20 A nd if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase;

Dacă vă veţi întreba ce veţi mânca în al şaptelea an, deoarece nu semănaţi şi nu vă strângeţi roadele,

21 t hen I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for the three years.

atunci să ştiţi că Eu vă voi da binecuvântarea Mea în al şaselea an într-o asemenea măsură, încât pământul va da roade pentru trei ani.

22 A nd ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits, the old store; until the ninth year, until its fruits come in, ye shall eat the old store.

Când veţi semăna în al optulea an, veţi mânca tot din roadele vechi; până în al nouălea an, până la noile roade, veţi mânca tot din cele vechi.

23 A nd the land shall not be sold in perpetuity; for the land is mine: for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

Pământul să nu fie vândut pe veci, pentru că ţara este a Mea, iar voi sunteţi străini şi peregrini înaintea Mea.

24 A nd in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

De aceea, în toată ţara pe care o veţi stăpâni, să daţi dreptul de răscumpărare pentru pământuri.

25 I f thy brother be waxed poor, and sell some of his possession, then shall his kinsman that is next unto him come, and shall redeem that which his brother hath sold.

Dacă unul dintre cei din poporul tău va sărăci şi îşi va vinde o parte din proprietatea lui, cel ce are dreptul de răscumpărare, adică ruda lui cea mai apropiată, va trebui să vină şi să răscumpere ceea ce el a vândut.

26 A nd if a man have no one to redeem it, and he be waxed rich and find sufficient to redeem it;

Dacă omul nu are pe nimeni care să răscumpere, dar ajunge el însuşi în stare să poată face răscumpărarea,

27 t hen let him reckon the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return unto his possession.

atunci să socotească anii de la vânzare şi să dea înapoi cumpărătorului diferenţa, după care se poate întoarce la proprietatea lui.

28 B ut if he be not able to get it back for himself, then that which he hath sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

Dar dacă nu poate să facă răscumpărarea, atunci ceea ce a vândut să rămână la cumpărător până la anul de veselie; în anul de veselie cumpărătorul va trebui să iasă din ea şi astfel el se va putea întoarce la proprietatea lui.

29 A nd if a man sell a dwelling-house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; for a full year shall he have the right of redemption.

Dacă cineva va vinde o casă de locuit, aflată într-o cetate înconjurată cu ziduri, aceasta va putea fi răscumpărată în timp de un an de la vânzare; dreptul de răscumpărare este de un an.

30 A nd if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him that bought it, throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubilee.

Dacă nu este răscumpărată înainte de împlinirea unui an întreg, casa din cetatea înconjurată cu ziduri să rămână pentru totdeauna a cumpărătorului şi a urmaşilor lui; să nu iasă din ea în anul de veselie.

31 B ut the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be reckoned with the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.

Casele din satele care nu sunt înconjurate cu ziduri vor fi privite la fel ca şi ogoarele ţării; ele vor putea fi răscumpărate, iar cumpărătorul va trebui să le restituie în anul de veselie.

32 N evertheless the cities of the Levites, the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.

Cât despre cetăţile leviţilor, leviţii vor avea pentru totdeauna dreptul de răscumpărare asupra caselor din cetăţile lor.

33 A nd if one of the Levites redeem, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

Dacă un om cumpără o casă de la leviţi, casa care a fost vândută în cetatea lor să fie restituită în anul de veselie, întrucât casele din cetăţile leviţilor sunt proprietatea lor în mijlocul israeliţilor.

34 B ut the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

Dar ogoarele din jurul cetăţilor leviţilor nu pot fi vândute, pentru că sunt proprietatea lor pentru totdeauna.

35 A nd if thy brother be waxed poor, and his hand fail with thee; then thou shalt uphold him: as a stranger and a sojourner shall he live with thee.

Dacă unul dintre cei din poporul tău sărăceşte şi devine dependent de tine, tu să-l ajuţi ca şi cum ar fi un străin sau un peregrin; să-l laşi să locuiască la tine.

36 T ake thou no interest of him or increase, but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.

Să nu iei nici un fel de dobândă de la el, ci teme-te de Dumnezeu; lasă-l pe fratele tău să locuiască împreună cu tine.

37 T hou shalt not give him thy money upon interest, nor give him thy victuals for increase.

Să nu-i împrumuţi argint cu dobândă şi să nu-i dai mâncare pe camătă.

38 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.

Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, Care te-am scos din ţara Egiptului ca să-ţi dau Canaanul şi să fiu Dumnezeul tău.

39 A nd if thy brother be waxed poor with thee, and sell himself unto thee; thou shalt not make him to serve as a bond-servant.

Dacă unul dintre cei din poporul tău sărăceşte şi ţi se vinde, să nu-l obligi să lucreze ca sclav.

40 A s a hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee; he shall serve with thee unto the year of jubilee:

Să rămână la tine ca ziler sau ca peregrin. Să te slujească până la anul de veselie.

41 t hen shall he go out from thee, he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.

Atunci va putea pleca de la tine împreună cu copiii lui şi astfel se va putea întoarce la clanul lui şi la proprietatea părinţilor lui.

42 F or they are my servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

Căci ei sunt sclavii Mei pe care i-am scos din ţara Egiptului; să nu fie vânduţi cum se vând sclavii.

43 T hou shalt not rule over him with rigor, but shalt fear thy God.

Să nu-i stăpâneşti cu asprime, ci teme-te de Dumnezeul tău.

44 A nd as for thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, whom thou shalt have; of the nations that are round about you, of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

Cât despre sclavii şi sclavele pe care poate vrei să îi ai, îi poţi cumpăra dintre neamurile din jur.

45 M oreover of the children of the strangers that sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they have begotten in your land: and they shall be your possession.

Poţi să-i iei şi dintre fiii peregrinilor care vor locui la tine sau dintre cei din clanurile lor care se vor naşte în ţara voastră; ei pot fi proprietatea voastră.

46 A nd ye shall make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them shall ye take your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel ye shall not rule, one over another, with rigor.

Îi puteţi lăsa ca moştenire copiilor voştri, iar aceştia să-i moştenească ca pe o proprietate. Ei vor fi sclavii voştri pe viaţă. Cât despre israeliţi, fraţii voştri, nici unul din voi să nu stăpânească peste altul cu asprime.

47 A nd if a stranger or sojourner with thee be waxed rich, and thy brother be waxed poor beside him, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner with thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family;

Dacă un străin sau un peregrin se îmbogăţeşte, iar unul din fraţii voştri sărăceşte lângă el şi se vinde străinului sau peregrinului sau vreunuia din clanul străinului,

48 a fter that he is sold he may be redeemed: one of his brethren may redeem him;

după ce s-a vândut, el mai poate fi răscumpărat. Să-l răscumpere una din rudele sale;

49 o r his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be waxed rich, he may redeem himself.

atât unchiul său, cât şi fiul unchiului său sau orice rudă apropiată din clanul lui vor putea să-l răscumpere; sau dacă poate, să se răscumpere singur.

50 A nd he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he sold himself to him unto the year of jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years; according to the time of a hired servant shall he be with him.

Să facă socoteala cu cel ce l-a cumpărat. Preţul eliberării sale să fie socotit după numărul de ani, din anul în care a fost vândut până la anul de veselie; perioada în care a fost cu proprietarul va fi preţuită la fel ca perioada preţuită în cazul unui lucrător plătit.

51 I f there be yet many years, according unto them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

Dacă mai rămân însă mulţi ani până la anul de veselie, în funcţie de numărul lor, el va plăti pentru răscumpărarea lui o parte din argintul cu care a fost cumpărat.

52 A nd if there remain but few years unto the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according unto his years shall he give back the price of his redemption.

Dacă mai sunt puţini ani până la anul de veselie, atunci să le facă socoteala şi să-şi plătească răscumpărarea în funcţie de aceşti ani.

53 A s a servant hired year by year shall he be with him: he shall not rule with rigor over him in thy sight.

Acesta va fi pentru cumpărătorul său ca un lucrător plătit cu anul; deci să nu se poarte cu asprime cu el sub ochii tăi.

54 A nd if he be not redeemed by these means, then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, he, and his children with him.

Dacă nu va fi răscumpărat în nici unul din aceste feluri, el şi copiii lui să fie eliberaţi la anul de veselie.

55 F or unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.

Israeliţii sunt robii Mei; ei sunt robii Mei pe care i-am scos din ţara Egiptului. Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru.
