1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

Domnul a vorbit cu Moise pe muntele Sinai, şi a zis:

2 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto Jehovah.

Vorbeşte copiilor lui Israel, şi spune-le:, Cînd veţi intra în ţara pe care v'o dau, pămîntul să se odihnească, să ţină un Sabat în cinstea Domnului.

3 S ix years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruits thereof;

Şase ani să-ţi semeni ogorul, şase ani să-ţi tai via, şi să strîngi roadele.

4 b ut in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath unto Jehovah: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

Dar anul al şaptelea să fie un Sabat, o vreme de odihnă pentru pămînt, un Sabat ţinut în cinstea Domnului: în anul acela să nu-ţi semeni ogorul, şi să nu-ţi tai via.

5 T hat which groweth of itself of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, and the grapes of thy undressed vine thou shalt not gather: it shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.

Să nu seceri ce va ieşi din grăunţele căzute dela seceriş, şi să nu culegi strugurii din via ta netăiată: acesta să fie un an de odihnă pentru pămînt.

6 A nd the sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for thee, and for thy servant and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant and for thy stranger, who sojourn with thee.

Ceeace va ieşi dela sine din pămînt în timpul Sabatului lui, să vă slujească de hrană, ţie, robului şi roabei tale, celui tocmit de tine cu ziua şi străinului care locuieşte cu tine,

7 A nd for thy cattle, and for the beasts that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be for food.

vitelor tale şi fiarelor din ţara ta; tot venitul pămîntului să slujească de hrană.

8 A nd thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and there shall be unto thee the days of seven sabbaths of years, even forty and nine years.

Să numeri şapte săptămîni de ani, de şapte ori şapte ani, şi zilele acestor şapte săptămîni de ani vor face patruzeci şi nouă de ani.

9 T hen shalt thou send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month; in the day of atonement shall ye send abroad the trumpet throughout all your land.

În a zecea zi a lunii a şaptea, să pui să sune cu trîmbiţa răsunătoare; în ziua ispăşirii, să sunaţi cu trîmbiţa în toată ţara voastră.

10 A nd ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

Şi să sfinţiţi astfel anul al cincizecilea, să vestiţi slobozenia în ţară pentru toţi locuitorii ei: acesta să fie pentru voi anul de veselie; fiecare din voi să se întoarcă la moşia lui, şi fiecare din voi să se întoarcă în familia lui.

11 A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of the undressed vines.

Anul al cincizecilea să fie pentru voi anul de veselie; atunci să nu sămănaţi, să nu seceraţi ce vor aduce ogoarele dela ele, şi să nu culegeţi via netăiată.

12 F or it is a jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

Căci este anul de veselie: să -l priviţi ca ceva sfînt. Să mîncaţi ce vă vor da ogoarele voastre.

13 I n this year of jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession.

În anul acesta de veselie, fiecare din voi să se întoarcă la moşia lui.

14 A nd if thou sell aught unto thy neighbor, or buy of thy neighbor's hand, ye shall not wrong one another.

Dacă vindeţi ceva aproapelui vostru, sau dacă cumpăraţi ceva dela aproapele vostru, niciunul din voi să nu înşele pe fratele lui.

15 A ccording to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbor, and according unto the number of years of the crops he shall sell unto thee.

Să cumperi dela aproapele tău, socotind anii dela anul de veselie, şi el să-ţi vîndă socotind anii de rod.

16 A ccording to the multitude of the years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of the years thou shalt diminish the price of it; for the number of the crops doth he sell unto thee.

Cu cît vor fi mai mulţi ani, cu atît să ridici preţul; şi cu cît vor fi mai puţini ani, cu atît să -l scazi; căci el îţi vinde numai numărul secerişurilor.

17 A nd ye shall not wrong one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am Jehovah your God.

Niciunul din voi să nu înşele deci pe aproapele lui, şi să te temi de Dumnezeul tău; căci Eu sînt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru.

18 W herefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep mine ordinances and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

Împliniţi legile Mele, păziţi poruncile Mele şi împliniţi-le; şi veţi locui fără frică în ţară.

19 A nd the land shall yield its fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

Ţara îşi va da rodurile, veţi mînca din ele şi vă veţi sătura, şi veţi locui fără frică în ea.

20 A nd if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase;

Dacă veţi zice:, Ce vom mînca în anul al şaptelea, fiindcă nu vom sămăna şi nu vom strînge rodurile?`

21 t hen I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for the three years.

Eu vă voi da binecuvîntarea Mea în anul al şaselea, şi pămîntul va da roade pentru trei ani.

22 A nd ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits, the old store; until the ninth year, until its fruits come in, ye shall eat the old store.

Cînd veţi sămăna în anul al optulea, veţi mînca tot din vechile roduri; pînă la al nouălea an, pînă la noile roduri, veţi mînca tot din cele vechi.

23 A nd the land shall not be sold in perpetuity; for the land is mine: for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

Pămînturile să nu se vîndă de veci; căci ţara este a Mea, iar voi sînteţi la Mine ca nişte străini şi venetici.

24 A nd in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

De aceea în toată ţara pe care o veţi stăpîni, să daţi dreptul de răscumpărare pentru pămînturi.

25 I f thy brother be waxed poor, and sell some of his possession, then shall his kinsman that is next unto him come, and shall redeem that which his brother hath sold.

Dacă fratele tău sărăceşte şi vinde o bucată din moşia lui, cel ce are dreptul de răscumpărare, ruda lui cea mai deaproape, să vină şi să răscumpere ce a vîndut fratele său.

26 A nd if a man have no one to redeem it, and he be waxed rich and find sufficient to redeem it;

Dacă un om n'are pe nimeni care să aibă dreptul de răscumpărare, şi -i stă în putinţă lui singur să facă răscumpărarea,

27 t hen let him reckon the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return unto his possession.

să socotească anii dela vînzare, să dea înapoi cumpărătorului ce prisoseşte, şi să se întoarcă la moşia lui.

28 B ut if he be not able to get it back for himself, then that which he hath sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

Dacă n'are cu ce să -i dea înapoi, lucrul vîndut să rămînă în mînile cumpărătorului pînă la anul de veselie; la anul de veselie, el să se întoarcă la moşia lui, şi cumpărătorul să iasă din ea.

29 A nd if a man sell a dwelling-house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; for a full year shall he have the right of redemption.

Dacă un om vinde o casă de locuit într'o cetate înconjurată cu ziduri, să aibă drept de răscumpărare pînă la împlinirea unui an dela vînzare; dreptul lui de răscumpărare să ţină un an.

30 A nd if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him that bought it, throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubilee.

Dar dacă această casă, aşezată într'o cetate înconjurată cu ziduri, nu este răscumpărată înainte de împlinirea unui an întreg, ea va rămînea de veci cumpărătorului şi urmaşilor lui; iar în anul de veselie să nu iasă din ea.

31 B ut the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be reckoned with the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.

Casele din sate, cari nu sînt înconjurate cu ziduri, să fie privite ca ţarini de pămînt: ele vor putea fi răscumpărate, şi cumpărătorul va ieşi din ele în anul de veselie.

32 N evertheless the cities of the Levites, the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.

Cît priveşte cetăţile Leviţilor şi casele pe cari le vor avea ei în aceste cetăţi, Leviţii să aibă un drept necurmat de răscumpărare.

33 A nd if one of the Levites redeem, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

Cine va cumpăra dela Leviţi o casă, să iasă în anul de veselie din casa vîndută lui şi din cetatea în care o avea; căci casele din cetăţile Leviţilor sînt averea lor în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel.

34 B ut the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

Ogoarele aşezate în jurul cetăţilor Leviţilor nu se vor putea vinde; căci ei le vor stăpîni de veci.

35 A nd if thy brother be waxed poor, and his hand fail with thee; then thou shalt uphold him: as a stranger and a sojourner shall he live with thee.

Dacă fratele tău sărăceşte, şi nu mai poate munci lîngă tine, să -l sprijineşti, fie ca străin, fie ca venetic, ca să trăiască împreună cu tine.

36 T ake thou no interest of him or increase, but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.

Să nu iei dela el nici dobîndă nici camătă: să te temi de Dumnezeul tău, şi fratele tău să trăiască împreună cu tine.

37 T hou shalt not give him thy money upon interest, nor give him thy victuals for increase.

Să nu -i împrumuţi banii tăi cu dobîndă, şi să nu -i împrumuţi merindele tale pe camătă.

38 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.

Eu sînt Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, care v'am scos din ţara Egiptului, ca să vă dau ţara Canaanului, ca să fiu Dumnezeul vostru.

39 A nd if thy brother be waxed poor with thee, and sell himself unto thee; thou shalt not make him to serve as a bond-servant.

Dacă fratele tău sărăceşte lîngă tine, şi se vinde ţie, să nu -l pui să-ţi facă muncă de rob.

40 A s a hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee; he shall serve with thee unto the year of jubilee:

Ci să fie la tine ca un om tocmit cu ziua, ca un venetic; să stea în slujba ta pînă la anul de veselie.

41 t hen shall he go out from thee, he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.

Atunci să iasă dela tine, el şi copiii lui cari vor fi cu el, şi să se întoarcă în familia lui, la moşia părinţilor lui.

42 F or they are my servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

Căci ei sînt slujitorii Mei, pe cari i-am scos din ţara Egiptului; să nu fie vînduţi cum se vînd robii.

43 T hou shalt not rule over him with rigor, but shalt fear thy God.

Să nu -l stăpîneşti cu asprime, şi să te temi de Dumnezeul tău.

44 A nd as for thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, whom thou shalt have; of the nations that are round about you, of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

Dacă vrei să ai robi şi roabe, să -i iei dela neamurile cari vă înconjoară; dela ele să cumpăraţi robi şi roabe.

45 M oreover of the children of the strangers that sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they have begotten in your land: and they shall be your possession.

Veţi putea să -i cumpăraţi şi dintre copiii străinilor cari vor locui la tine, şi din familiile lor, pe cari le vor naşte în ţara voastră; ei vor fi averea voastră.

46 A nd ye shall make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them shall ye take your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel ye shall not rule, one over another, with rigor.

Îi puteţi lăsa moştenire copiilor voştri după voi, ca pe o moşie; şi puteţi să -i ţineţi astfel robi pe veci. Dar cît despre fraţii voştri, copiii lui Israel, niciunul din voi să nu stăpînească pe fratele său cu asprime.

47 A nd if a stranger or sojourner with thee be waxed rich, and thy brother be waxed poor beside him, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner with thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family;

Dacă un străin, sau un venetic se îmbogăţeşte, şi fratele tău sărăceşte lîngă el, şi se vinde străinului care locuieşte la tine sau vreunuia din familia străinului,

48 a fter that he is sold he may be redeemed: one of his brethren may redeem him;

el să aibă dreptul de răscumpărare, după ce se va fi vîndut: unul din fraţii lui să poată să -l răscumpere.

49 o r his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be waxed rich, he may redeem himself.

Unchiul lui, sau fiul unchiului lui, sau una din rudele lui de aproape, va putea să -l răscumpere; sau, dacă are mijloace, să se răscumpere singur.

50 A nd he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he sold himself to him unto the year of jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years; according to the time of a hired servant shall he be with him.

Să facă socoteala cu cel ce l -a cumpărat, din anul cînd s'a vîndut pînă în anul de veselie; şi preţul de plătit va atîrna de numărul anilor, cari vor fi preţuiţi ca ai unui om tocmit cu plată.

51 I f there be yet many years, according unto them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

Dacă mai sînt încă mulţi ani pănă la anul de veselie, îşi va plăti răscumpărarea după preţul anilor acelora şi să -l scadă din preţul cu care a fost cumpărat;

52 A nd if there remain but few years unto the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according unto his years shall he give back the price of his redemption.

dacă mai rămîn puţini ani pînă la anul de veselie, să le facă socoteala, şi să-şi plătească răscumpărarea după aceşti ani.

53 A s a servant hired year by year shall he be with him: he shall not rule with rigor over him in thy sight.

Să fie la el ca unul tocmit cu anul; şi acela la care va fi, să nu se poarte cu asprime cu el subt ochii tăi.

54 A nd if he be not redeemed by these means, then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, he, and his children with him.

Iar dacă nu este răscumpărat în niciunul din aceste feluri, să iasă dela el în anul de veselie, el şi copiii lui cari vor fi împreună cu el.

55 F or unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.

Căci copiii lui Israel sînt robii Mei; ei sînt robii Mei, pe cari i-am scos din ţara Egiptului. Eu sînt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru.
