1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

2 S peak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the candlestick.

Vorbeşte lui Aaron, şi spune -i: Cînd vei aşeza candelele în sfeşnic, cele şapte candele vor trebui să lumineze în partea dinainte a sfeşnicului.``

3 A nd Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof so as to give light in front of the candlestick, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

Aaron a făcut aşa; a aşezat candelele în partea dinainte a sfeşnicului, cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul.

4 A nd this was the work of the candlestick, beaten work of gold; unto the base thereof, and unto the flowers thereof, it was beaten work: according unto the pattern which Jehovah had showed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

Sfeşnicul era de aur bătut; atît piciorul cît şi florile lui, erau de aur bătut. Moise făcuse sfeşnicul după chipul, pe care i -l arătase Domnul.

5 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

6 T ake the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

Ia pe Leviţi din mijlocul copiilor lui Israel, şi curăţeşte -i.

7 A nd thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of expiation upon them, and let them cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.

Iată cum să -i curăţeşti: Stropeşte -i cu apă ispăşitoare; să lase să treacă briciul peste tot trupul lor, să-şi spele hainele, şi să se curăţească.

8 T hen let them take a young bullock, and its meal-offering, fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.

Să ia apoi un viţel, cu darul de mîncare obicinuit, făcut din floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn; şi să mai iei un alt viţel pentru jertfa de ispăşire.

9 A nd thou shalt present the Levites before the tent of meeting: and thou shalt assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel:

Să apropii pe Leviţi înaintea cortului întîlnirii, şi să strîngi toată adunarea copiilor lui Israel.

10 a nd thou shalt present the Levites before Jehovah. And the children of Israel shall lay their hands upon the Levites:

Să apropii pe Leviţi înaintea Domnului; şi copiii lui Israel să-şi pună mînile pe Leviţi.

11 a nd Aaron shall offer the Levites before Jehovah for a wave-offering, on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Jehovah.

Aaron să legene pe Leviţi într'o parte şi într'alta înaintea Domnului, ca un dar legănat din partea copiilor lui Israel; şi să fie închinaţi astfel în slujba Domnului.

12 A nd the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and offer thou the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, unto Jehovah, to make atonement for the Levites.

Leviţii să-şi pună mînile pe capul viţeilor, şi să aduci unul ca jertfă de ispăşire, şi altul ca ardere de tot, ca să faci ispăşire pentru Leviţi.

13 A nd thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for a wave-offering unto Jehovah.

Să pui pe Leviţi în picioare înaintea lui Aaron şi înaintea fiilor lui, şi să -i legeni într'o parte şi într'alta, ca un dar legănat Domnului.

14 T hus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine.

Aşa să desparţi pe Leviţi din mijlocul copiilor lui Israel; şi Leviţii vor fi ai Mei.

15 A nd after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tent of meeting: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for a wave-offering.

După aceea, Leviţii să vină să facă slujba în cortul întîlnirii. Astfel să -i curăţeşti şi să -i legeni într'o parte şi într'alta, ca un dar legănat.

16 F or they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of all that openeth the womb, even the first-born of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

Căci ei Îmi sînt daţi cu totul din mijlocul copiilor lui Israel: Eu i-am luat pentru Mine în locul întîilor născuţi, din toţi întîii născuţi ai copiilor lui Israel.

17 F or all the first-born among the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

Căci orice întîi născut al copiilor lui Israel este al Meu, atît din oameni cît şi din dobitoace; Mie Mi i-am închinat în ziua cînd am lovit pe toţi întîii născuţi în ţara Egiptului.

18 A nd I have taken the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel.

Şi Eu am luat pe Leviţi în locul tuturor întîilor născuţi ai copiilor lui Israel.

19 A nd I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.

Am dat pe Leviţi în totul lui Aaron şi fiilor lui, din mijlocul copiilor lui Israel, ca să facă slujbă pentru copiii lui Israel în cortul întîlnirii, să facă ispăşire pentru copiii lui Israel, şi astfel copiii lui Israel să nu fie loviţi cu nici o urgie, cînd se vor apropia de sfîntul locaş.``

20 T hus did Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the Levites: according unto all that Jehovah commanded Moses touching the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.

Moise, Aaron şi toată adunarea copiilor lui Israel, au făcut cu Leviţii tot ce poruncise lui Moise Domnul despre Leviţi; aşa au făcut copiii lui Israel cu ei.

21 A nd the Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes: and Aaron offered them for a wave-offering before Jehovah; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

Leviţii s'au curăţit, şi şi-au spălat hainele. Aaron i -a legănat într'o parte şi într'alta, ca un dar legănat înaintea Domnului, şi a făcut ispăşire pentru ei, ca să -i curăţească.

22 A nd after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons: as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

După aceea, Leviţii au venit să-şi facă slujba în cortul întîlnirii, în faţa lui Aaron şi a fiilor lui. Întocmai cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul cu privire la Leviţi, aşa s'a făcut cu ei.

23 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

24 T his is that which belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service in the work of the tent of meeting:

Iată legea privitoare la Leviţi. Dela vîrsta de douăzeci şi cinci de ani în sus, orice Levit va intra în slujba cortului întîlnirii ca să îndeplinească o slujbă acolo.

25 a nd from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the work, and shall serve no more,

Dela vîrsta de cincizeci de ani încolo, să iasă din slujbă, şi să nu mai slujească.

26 b ut shall minister with their brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charges.

Va putea să ajute pe fraţii lui în cortul întîlnirii, să păzească ce le este dat în grijă; dar să nu mai facă slujbă. Aşa să faci cu Leviţii în ce priveşte slujbele lor.``
