1 P raise ye Jehovah. Praise Jehovah, O my soul.

Lăudaţi pe Domnul! Laudă, suflete, pe Domnul!

2 W hile I live will I praise Jehovah: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

Voi lăuda pe Domnul cît voi trăi, voi lăuda pe Dumnezeul meu cît voi fi.

3 P ut not your trust in princes, Nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

Nu vă încredeţi în cei mari, în fiii oamenilor, în cari nu este ajutor.

4 H is breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.

Suflarea lor trece, se întorc în pămînt, şi în aceeaş zi le pier şi planurile lor.

5 H appy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in Jehovah his God:

Ferice de cine are ca ajutor pe Dumnezeul lui Iacov, ferice de cine-şi pune nădejdea în Domnul, Dumnezeul său!

6 W ho made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that in them is; Who keepeth truth for ever;

El a făcut cerurile şi pămîntul, marea şi tot ce este în ea. El ţine credincioşia în veci.

7 W ho executeth justice for the oppressed; Who giveth food to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;

El face dreptate celor asupriţi; dă pîne celor flămînzi: Domnul izbăveşte pe prinşii de război;

8 J ehovah openeth the eyes of the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;

Domnul deschide ochii orbilor; Domnul îndreaptă pe cei încovoiaţi; Domnul iubeşte pe cei neprihăniţi.

9 J ehovah preserveth the sojourners; He upholdeth the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

Domnul ocroteşte pe cei străini, sprijineşte pe orfan şi pe văduvă, dar răstoarnă calea celor răi.

10 J ehovah will reign for ever, Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye Jehovah.

Domnul împărăţeşte în veci; Dumnezeul tău, Sioane, rămîne din veac în veac! Lăudaţi pe Domnul!
