1 T hus saith Jehovah, Keep ye justice, and do righteousness; for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul:, Păziţi ce este drept, şi faceţi ce este bine; căci mîntuirea Mea este aproape să vină, şi neprihănirea Mea este aproape să se arate.

2 B lessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Ferice de omul care face lucrul acesta, şi de fiul omului care rămîne statornic în el, păzind Sabatul, ca să nu -l pîngărească, şi stăpînindu-şi mîna, ca să nu facă nici un rău!

3 N either let the foreigner, that hath joined himself to Jehovah, speak, saying, Jehovah will surely separate me from his people; neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

Străinul care se alipeşte de Domnul, să nu zică:, Domnul mă va despărţi de poporul Său!` Şi famenul să nu zică:, Iată, eu sînt un copac uscat!`

4 F or thus saith Jehovah of the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast my covenant:

Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul:, Famenilor, cari vor păzi Sabatele Mele, cari vor alege ce-Mi este plăcut, şi vor stărui în legămîntul Meu,

5 U nto them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

le voi da în Casa Mea şi înlăuntrul zidurilor Mele un loc şi un nume mai bune de cît fii şi fiice; le voi da un nume vecinic, care nu se va stinge.

6 A lso the foreigners that join themselves to Jehovah, to minister unto him, and to love the name of Jehovah, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and holdeth fast my covenant;

Şi pe străinii, care se vor lipi de Domnul ca să -I slujească, şi să iubească Numele Domnului, pentru ca să fie slujitorii Lui, şi pe toţi cei ce vor păzi Sabatul, ca să nu -l pîngărească, şi vor stărui în legămîntul Meu,

7 e ven them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.

îi voi aduce la muntele Meu cel sfînt, şi -i voi umplea de veselie în Casa Mea de rugăciune. Arderile lor de tot şi jertfele lor vor fi primite pe altarul Meu, căci Casa Mea se va numi o casă de rugăciune pentru toate popoarele.``

8 T he Lord Jehovah, who gathereth the outcasts of Israel, saith, Yet will I gather others to him, besides his own that are gathered.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu, care strînge pe cei risipiţi ai lui Israel:,, Voi mai strînge şi alte popoare la cei strînşi acum din el.``

9 A ll ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

Veniţi toate fiarele de pe cîmp, veniţi de mîncaţi, toate fiarele din pădure!

10 H is watchmen are blind, they are all without knowledge; they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.

Toţi păzitorii lui sînt orbi, fără pricepere; toţi sînt nişte cîni muţi, cari nu pot să latre; aiurează, stau tolăniţi, şi le place să doarmă.

11 Y ea, the dogs are greedy, they can never have enough; and these are shepherds that cannot understand: they have all turned to their own way, each one to his gain, from every quarter.

Totuş sînt nişte cîni lacomi, cari nu se mai satură. Sînt nişte păstori cari nu pot pricepe nimic; toţi îşi văd de calea lor, fiecare umblă după folosul lui, fără abatere: -

12 C ome ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to-morrow shall be as this day, a day great beyond measure.

Veniţi, -zic ei-am să caut vin, şi ne vom îmbăta cu băuturi tari! Mîne vom face tot ca azi, ba încă şi mai rău!`` -
