1 A nd he said unto his disciples, It is impossible but that occasions of stumbling should come; but woe unto him, through whom they come!

Isus a zis ucenicilor Săi:,, Este cu neputinţă să nu vină prilejuri de păcătuire; dar vai de acela prin care vin!

2 I t were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Ar fi mai de folos pentru el să i se lege o piatră de moară de gît, şi să fie aruncat în mare, decît să facă pe unul din aceşti micuţi să păcătuiască.

3 T ake heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Luaţi seama la voi înşivă! Dacă fratele tău păcătuieşte împotriva ta, mustră -l! Şi dacă -i pare rău, iartă -l!

4 A nd if he sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Şi chiar dacă păcătuieşte împotriva ta de şapte ori pe zi, şi de şapte ori pe zi se întoarce la tine şi zice:,Îmi pare rău!` -să -l ierţi.

5 A nd the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Apostolii au zis Domnului:,, Măreşte-ne credinţa!``

6 A nd the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye would say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.

Şi Domnul a zis:,, Dacă aţi avea credinţă cît un grăunte de muştar, aţi zice dudului acestuia:, Desrădăcinează-te şi sădeşte-te în mare`, şi v'ar asculta.

7 B ut who is there of you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say unto him, when he is come in from the field, Come straightway and sit down to meat;

Cine dintre voi, dacă are un rob, care ară sau paşte oile, îi va zice, cînd vine dela cîmp:,, Vino îndată, şi şezi la masă?``

8 a nd will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

Nu -i va zice mai degrabă:,, Găteşte-mi să mănînc, încinge-te, şi slujeşte-mi pînă voi mînca şi voi bea eu; după aceea, vei mînca şi vei bea şi tu?``

9 D oth he thank the servant because he did the things that were commanded?

Va rămînea el îndatorat faţă de robul acela, pentrucă robul a făcut ce -i fusese poruncit? Nu cred.

10 E ven so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do.

Tot aşa şi voi, dupăce veţi face tot ce vi s'a poruncit, să ziceţi:,, Sîntem nişte robi netrebnici; am făcut ce eram datori să facem.``

11 A nd it came to pass, as they were on their way to Jerusalem, that he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.

Isus mergea spre Ierusalim, şi a trecut printre Samaria şi Galilea.

12 A nd as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood afar off:

Pe cînd intra într'un sat, L-au întîmpinat zece leproşi. Ei au stătut departe,

13 a nd they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

şi-au ridicat glasul, şi au zis:,, Isuse, Învăţătorule, ai milă de noi!``

14 A nd when he saw them, he said unto them, Go and show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were cleansed.

Cînd i -a văzut Isus, le -a zis:,, Duceţi-vă şi arătaţi-vă preoţilor!`` Şi pe cînd se duceau, au fost curăţiţi.

15 A nd one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, with a loud voice glorifying God;

Unul din ei, cînd s'a văzut vindecat, s'a întors, slăvind pe Dumnezeu cu glas tare.

16 a nd he fell upon his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

S'a aruncat cu faţa la pămînt la picioarele lui Isus, şi I -a mulţămit. Era Samaritean.

17 A nd Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

Isus a luat cuvîntul, şi a zis:,, Oare n'au fost curăţiţi toţi cei zece? Dar ceilalţi nouă, unde sînt?

18 W ere there none found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger?

Nu s'a găsit decît străinul acesta să se întoarcă şi să dea slavă lui Dumnezeu?``

19 A nd he said unto him, Arise, and go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Apoi i -a zis:,, Scoală-te şi pleacă; credinţa ta te -a mîntuit.``

20 A nd being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Fariseii au întrebat pe Isus cînd va veni Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu. Drept răspuns, El le -a zis:,,Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu nu vine în aşa fel ca să izbească privirile.

21 n either shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.

Nu se va zice:, Uite -o aici`, sau:, Uite -o acolo!` Căci iată că Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu este înlăuntrul vostru.``

22 A nd he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

Şi a zis ucenicilor:,, Vor veni zile cînd veţi dori să vedeţi una din zilele Fiului omului, şi n'o veţi vedea.

23 A nd they shall say to you, Lo, there! Lo, here! go not away, nor follow after them:

Vi se va zice:, Iată -L aici, iată -L acolo!` Să nu vă duceţi, nici să nu -i urmaţi.

24 f or as the lightning, when it lighteneth out of the one part under the heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall the Son of man be in his day.

Căci, cum iese fulgerul şi luminează dela o margine a cerului pînă la cealaltă, aşa va fi şi Fiul omului în ziua Sa.

25 B ut first must he suffer many things and be rejected of this generation.

Dar mai întîi trebuie să sufere multe, şi să fie lepădat de neamul acesta.

26 A nd as it came to pass in the days of Noah, even so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Ce s'a întîmplat în zilele lui Noe, se va întîmpla la fel şi în zilele Fiului omului:

27 T hey ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

mîncau, beau, se însurau şi se măritau pînă în ziua cînd a intrat Noe în corabie; şi a venit potopul şi i -a prăpădit pe toţi.

28 L ikewise even as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Ce s'a întîmplat în zilele lui Lot, se va întîmpla aidoma: oamenii mîncau, beau, cumpărau, vindeau, sădeau, zideau;

29 b ut in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all:

dar, în ziua cînd a ieşit Lot din Sodoma, a plouat foc şi pucioasă din cer, şi i -a pierdut pe toţi.

30 a fter the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.

Tot aşa va fi şi în ziua cînd Se va arăta Fiul omului.

31 I n that day, he that shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and let him that is in the field likewise not return back.

În ziua aceea, cine va fi pe acoperişul casei, şi îşi va avea vasele în casă, să nu se pogoare să le ia; şi cine va fi pe cîmp, de asemenea, să nu se mai întoarcă.

32 R emember Lot's wife.

Aduceţi-vă aminte de nevasta lui Lot.

33 W hosoever shall seek to gain his life shall lose it: but whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Oricine va căuta să-şi scape viaţa, o va pierde; şi oricine o va pierde, o va găsi.

34 I say unto you, In that night there shall be two men on one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

Vă spun că, în noaptea aceea, doi inşi vor fi în acelaş pat, unul va fi luat şi altul va fi lăsat;

35 T here shall be two women grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

două femei vor măcina împreună: una va fi luată, şi alta va fi lăsată.

36 T here shall be two men in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

Doi bărbaţi vor fi la cîmp: unul va fi luat şi altul va fi lăsat.``

37 A nd they answering say unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Where the body is, thither will the eagles also be gathered together.

Ucenicii L-au întrebat:,, Unde, Doamne?`` Iar El a răspuns:,, Unde va fi trupul acolo se vor strînge vulturii.``
