1 A nd Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.

Solomon şi -a mai zidit şi casa lui, şi a ţinut treisprezece ani pînă cînd a isprăvit -o de tot.

2 F or he built the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was a hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.

A zidit mai întîi casa din pădurea Libanului, lungă de o sută de coţi, lată de cincizeci de coţi, şi înaltă de treizeci de coţi. Se sprijinea pe patru rînduri de stîlpi de cedru, şi pe stîlpi erau grinzi de cedru.

3 A nd it was covered with cedar above over the forty and five beams, that were upon the pillars; fifteen in a row.

A acoperit cu cedru odăile cari erau sprijinite de stîlpi şi cari erau în număr de patruzeci şi cinci, cîte cincisprezece de fiecare cat.

4 A nd there were beams in three rows, and window was over against window in three ranks.

Erau trei caturi, şi fiecare din ele avea ferestrele faţă în faţă.

5 A nd all the doors and posts were made square with beams: and window was over against window in three ranks.

Toată uşile şi toţi uşiorii erau din bîrne în patru muchi, şi la fiecare din cele trei caturi, uşile erau faţă în faţă.

6 A nd he made the porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits; and a porch before them; and pillars and a threshold before them.

A făcut un pridvor de stîlpi, lung de cincizeci de coţi şi lat de treizeci de coţi, şi un alt pridvor înainte cu stîlpi şi trepte în faţă.

7 A nd he made the porch of the throne where he was to judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from floor to floor.

A făcut pridvorul scaunului de domnie, unde judeca, pridvorul judecăţii; şi l -a acoperit cu cedru, dela pardoseală pînă în tavan.

8 A nd his house where he was to dwell, the other court within the porch, was of the like work. He made also a house for Pharaoh's daughter (whom Solomon had taken to wife), like unto this porch.

Casa lui de locuit a fost zidită în acelaş fel, într'o altă curte, în dosul pridvorului. Şi a făcut o casă la fel cu pridvorul acesta pentru fata lui Faraon, pe care o luase de nevastă.

9 A ll these were of costly stones, even of hewn stone, according to measure, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside unto the great court.

Pentru toate aceste clădiri a întrebuinţat pietre minunate, cioplite după măsură, ferestruite cu ferăstrăul, înlăuntru şi în afară; şi aceasta din temelii pînă la straşină, şi afară pînă la curtea cea mare.

10 A nd the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.

Temeliile erau de pietre foarte de preţ, şi mari, pietre de zece coţi şi pietre de opt coţi.

11 A nd above were costly stones, even hewn stone, according to measure, and cedar-wood.

Deasupra erau iarăş pietre foarte de preţ, tăiate după măsură, şi lemn de cedru.

12 A nd the great court round about had three courses of hewn stone, and a course of cedar beams; like as the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and the porch of the house.

Curtea cea mare avea de jur împrejurul ei trei şiruri de pietre cioplite şi un şir de bîrne de cedru, ca şi curtea dinlăuntru a casei Domnului, şi ca şi pridvorul casei.

13 A nd king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.

Împăratul Solomon a trimes şi a adus din Tir pe Hiram,

14 H e was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill, to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.

fiul unei văduve din seminţia lui Neftali, şi al unui tată din Tir, care lucra în aramă. Hiram era plin de înţelepciune, de pricepere şi de ştiinţă în săvîrşirea oricărei lucrări de aramă. El a venit la împăratul Solomon, şi i -a făcut toate lucrările.

15 F or he fashioned the two pillars of brass, eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits compassed either of them about.

A turnat cei doi stîlpi de aramă. Cel dintîi avea optsprezece coţi în înălţime, şi un fir de doisprezece coţi măsura grosimea celui de al doilea.

16 A nd he made two capitals of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.

A turnat două coperişuri de aramă, ca să le pună pe vîrfurile stîlpilor; cel dintîi era înalt de cinci coţi, şi al doilea era înalt de cinci coţi.

17 T here were nets of checker-work, and wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.

A mai făcut nişte împletituri în chip de reţea, nişte ciucuri făcuţi cu lănţişoare, pentru coperişurile de pe vîrful stîlpilor, şapte pentru coperişul dintîi, şi şapte pentru coperişul al doilea.

18 S o he made the pillars; and there were two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars: and so did he for the other capital.

A făcut cîte două şiruri de rodii împrejurul uneia din reţele, ca să acopere coperişul de pe vîrful unuia din stîlpi; tot aşa a făcut şi pentru al doilea.

19 A nd the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily-work, four cubits.

Coperişurile depe vîrful stîlpilor, în pridvor, erau lucrate aşa de parcă erau nişte crini şi aveau patru coţi.

20 A nd there were capitals above also upon the two pillars, close by the belly which was beside the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows round about upon the other capital.

Coperişurile depe cei doi stîlpi erau înconjurate de două sute de rodii, sus, lîngă umflătura care era peste reţea; de asemenea erau două sute de rodii înşirate în jurul celui de al doilea coperiş.

21 A nd he set up the pillars at the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin; and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.

A aşezat stîlpii în pridvorul Templului; a aşezat stîlpul din dreapta, şi l -a numit Iachin; apoi a aşezat stîlpul din stînga, şi l -a numit Boaz.

22 A nd upon the top of the pillars was lily-work: so was the work of the pillars finished.

În vîrful stîlpilor era o lucrătură în chip de crini. Astfel s'a isprăvit lucrarea stîlpilor.

23 A nd he made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and the height thereof was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits compassed it round about.

A făcut marea turnată din aramă. Avea zece coţi dela o margine pînă la cealaltă, era rotundă de tot, înaltă de cinci coţi, şi de jur împrejur se putea măsura cu un fir de treizeci de coţi.

24 A nd under the brim of it round about there were knops which did compass it, for ten cubits, compassing the sea round about: the knops were in two rows, cast when it was cast.

Subt buza ei erau săpaţi nişte colocinţi, cîte zece la fiecare cot, de jur împrejurul mării; colocinţii, aşezaţi pe două rînduri, erau turnaţi împreună cu ea dintr'o singură bucată.

25 I t stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set upon them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.

Era aşezată pe doisprezece boi, din cari trei întorşi spre miază noapte, trei întorşi spre apus; trei întorşi spre miază zi, şi trei întorşi spre răsărit; marea era deasupra lor, şi toată partea dinapoi a trupurilor lor era înlăuntru.

26 A nd it was a handbreadth thick: and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it held two thousand baths.

Grosimea ei era de un lat de mînă; şi marginea ei era ca marginea unui potir, făcută ca floarea crinului. Avea o încăpere de două mii de vedre.

27 A nd he made the ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.

A mai făcut zece temelii de aramă. Fiecare temelie era lungă de patru coţi, lată de patru coţi, şi înaltă de trei coţi.

28 A nd the work of the bases was on this manner: they had panels; and there were panels between the ledges;

Iată cum erau temeliile acestea. Erau făcute din tăblii, legate la colţuri cu încheieturi.

29 a nd on the panels that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and upon the ledges there was a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.

Pe tăbliile dintre încheieturi erau nişte lei, boi şi heruvimi; şi pe încheieturi, deasupra şi dedesuptul leilor şi boilor, erau nişte împletituri cari atîrnau în chip de ciucuri.

30 A nd every base had four brazen wheels, and axles of brass; and the four feet thereof had undersetters: beneath the laver were the undersetters molten, with wreaths at the side of each.

Fiecare temelie avea patru roate de aramă cu osii de aramă; şi la cele patru colţuri erau nişte poliţe turnate, subt lighean, şi lîngă ciucuri.

31 A nd the mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: and the mouth thereof was round after the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also upon the mouth of it were gravings, and their panels were foursquare, not round.

Gura temeliei dinlăuntrul coperişului pînă sus era de un cot; gura aceasta era rotundă, ca pentru lucrările de felul acesta, şi era lată de un cot şi jumătate; avea şi săpături. Tăbliile erau în patru muchi, nu rotunde.

32 A nd the four wheels were underneath the panels; and the axletrees of the wheels were in the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.

Cele patru roţi erau subt tăblii, şi osiile roţilor erau prinse de temelie; fiecare era înaltă de un cot şi jumătate.

33 A nd the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their felloes, and their spokes, and their naves, were all molten.

Roatele erau făcute ca ale unui car. Osiile, obezile, spiţele şi butucii lor erau toate turnate.

34 A nd there were four undersetters at the four corners of each base: the undersetters thereof were of the base itself.

La cele patru colţuri ale fiecărei temelii erau nişte poliţe dintr'o bucată cu temelia.

35 A nd in the top of the base was there a round compass half a cubit high; and on the top of the base the stays thereof and the panels thereof were of the same.

Partea de sus a temeliei se sfîrşea cu un cerc înalt de o jumătate de cot, şi îşi avea proptelele cu tăbliile ei făcute dintr'o bucată cu ea.

36 A nd on the plates of the stays thereof, and on the panels thereof, he graved cherubim, lions, and palm-trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about.

Pe plăcile proptelelor, şi pe tăblii, a săpat heruvimi, lei şi finici, după locurile goale, şi ciucuri de jur împrejur.

37 A fter this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.

Aşa a făcut cele zece temelii; turnătura, măsura şi chipul erau la fel pentru toate.

38 A nd he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths; and every laver was four cubits; and upon very one of the ten bases one laver.

A mai făcut zece lighene de aramă. Fiecare lighean avea o încăpere de patruzeci de baţi, fiecare lighean avea patru coţi, fiecare lighean era pe cîte una din cele zece temelii.

39 A nd he set the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.

A pus cinci temelii pe partea dreaptă a casei, şi cinci temelii pe partea stîngă a casei; iar marea de aramă a pus -o în partea dreaptă a casei la miazăzi răsărit.

40 A nd Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he wrought for king Solomon in the house of Jehovah:

Hiram a făcut cenuşarele, lopeţile şi lighenele.

41 t he two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;

doi stîlpi cu cele două coperişuri şi cu cununile lor de pe vîrful stîlpilor; cele două reţele ca să acopere cele două cununi ale coperişurilor de pe vîrful stîlpilor;

42 a nd the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars;

cele patru sute de rodii pentru cele două reţele, cîte două rînduri de rodii de fiecare reţea, ca să acopere cele două cununi ale coperişurilor de pe vîrful stîlpilor;

43 a nd the ten bases, and the ten lavers on the bases;

cele zece temelii, şi cele zece lighene de pe temelii;

44 a nd the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;

marea, şi cei doisprezece boi de subt mare;

45 a nd the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon, in the house of Jehovah, were of burnished brass.

cenuşarele, lopeţile şi lighenele. Toate aceste unelte, pe cari le -a dat împăratul Solomon lui Hiram să le facă pentru Casa Domnului, erau de aramă lustruită.

46 I n the plain of the Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.

Împăratul a pus să le toarne în cîmpia Iordanului, într'un pămînt humos, între Sucot şi Ţartan.

47 A nd Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding many: the weight of the brass could not be found out.

Solomon a lăsat toate aceste unelte necîntărite, căci erau foarte multe, şi greutatea aramei nu se putea socoti.

48 A nd Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of Jehovah: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the showbread was, of gold;

Solomon a mai făcut toate celelalte unelte pentru Casa Domnului: altarul de aur; masa de aur, unde se puneau pînile pentru punerea înaintea Domnului;

49 a nd the candlesticks, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;

sfeşnicele de aur curat, cinci la dreapta şi cinci la stînga, înaintea Locului prea sfînt, cu florile, candelele şi mucările de aur;

50 a nd the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the firepans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple, of gold.

lighenele, cuţitele, potirele, ceştile şi căţuile de aur curat; şi ţîţînile de aur curat pentru uşa dinlăuntrul casei la intrarea în Locul prea sfînt, şi pentru uşa casei dela intrarea Templului.

51 T hus all the work that king Solomon wrought in the house of Jehovah was finished. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of Jehovah.

Astfel s'a isprăvit toată lucrarea, pe care a făcut -o împăratul Solomon pentru Casa Domnului. Apoi a adus argintul, aurul şi uneltele, pe cari le hărăzise tatăl său David, şi le -a pus în vistieriile Casei Domnului.
