1 O n that day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

În aceeaşi zi, Isus a ieşit din casă şi S-a aşezat lângă mare.

2 A nd there were gathered unto him great multitudes, so that he entered into a boat, and sat; and all the multitude stood on the beach.

Mari mulţimi de oameni s-au adunat în jurul Lui, astfel că El S-a suit într-o barcă şi S-a aşezat acolo; întreaga mulţime stătea pe ţărm.

3 A nd he spake to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forth to sow;

El le-a vorbit despre multe lucruri în pilde şi le-a zis: „Iată, semănătorul a ieşit să semene!

4 a nd as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured them:

În timp ce semăna el, o parte din sămânţă a căzut lângă drum şi au venit păsările şi au mâncat-o.

5 a nd others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth: and straightway they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth:

O altă parte a căzut în locuri stâncoase, unde nu avea pământ mult. A răsărit repede, pentru că nu avea pământ adânc,

6 a nd when the sun was risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

dar când a răsărit soarele, s-a ofilit şi, fiindcă nu avea rădăcină, s-a uscat.

7 A nd others fell upon the thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked them:

O altă parte a căzut între spini, iar spinii au crescut şi au sufocat-o.

8 a nd others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Alta însă a căzut pe un pământ bun şi a dat rod: un grăunte a rodit o sută, altul – şaizeci, altul – treizeci.

9 H e that hath ears, let him hear.

Cine are urechi, să audă!“

10 A nd the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

Ucenicii au venit la El şi L-au întrebat: – De ce le vorbeşti în pilde?

11 A nd he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Isus le-a răspuns: – Pentru că vouă v-a fost dat să cunoaşteţi tainele Împărăţiei Cerurilor, dar lor nu le-a fost dat.

12 F or whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Căci celui ce are i se va da şi va avea din abundenţă, dar de la cel ce nu are se va lua chiar şi ce are.

13 T herefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

De aceea le vorbesc în pilde, pentru că ei, măcar că văd, nu văd, şi măcar că aud, nu aud, nici nu înţeleg.

14 A nd unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive:

Şi cu privire la ei se împlineşte profeţia lui Isaia, care zice: „Veţi asculta întruna, dar nu veţi înţelege şi veţi privi mereu, dar nu veţi pricepe.

15 F or this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.

Căci inima celor din acest popor s-a împietrit. Urechile lor aud greu şi ochii li s-au închis, ca nu cumva să vadă cu ochii, să audă cu urechile, să înţeleagă cu inima, să se întoarcă la Mine şi să-i vindec“.

16 B ut blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

Dar ferice de ochii voştri că văd şi de urechile voastre că aud!

17 F or verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

Adevărat vă spun că mulţi profeţi şi oameni drepţi au dorit să vadă ceea ce vedeţi voi, dar n-au văzut, şi să audă ceea ce auziţi voi, dar n-au auzit!

18 H ear then ye the parable of the sower.

Ascultaţi deci ce înseamnă pilda semănătorului.

19 W hen any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the evil one, and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the way side.

Când cineva aude Cuvântul Împărăţiei şi nu-l înţelege, vine cel rău şi răpeşte ce a fost semănat în inima lui. Aceasta este sămânţa care a fost semănată lângă drum.

20 A nd he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it;

Sămânţa care a fost semănată în locuri stâncoase este cel care aude Cuvântul şi-l primeşte imediat cu bucurie,

21 y et hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while; and when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway he stumbleth.

dar nu are rădăcină în el, ci durează doar pentru o vreme. Şi când vine necazul sau persecuţia din pricina Cuvântului, el se poticneşte imediat.

22 A nd he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word; and the care of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Sămânţa care a fost semănată între spini este cel care aude Cuvântul, dar îngrijorările vieţii şi înşelăciunea bogăţiei sufocă Cuvântul şi acesta devine neroditor.

23 A nd he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Sămânţa care a fost semănată în pământ bun este cel care aude Cuvântul şi-l înţelege; el aduce într-adevăr rod: un grăunte dă o sută, altul – şaizeci, altul – treizeci. Pilda neghinei

24 A nother parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man that sowed good seed in his field:

Isus le-a pus înainte o altă pildă şi le-a zis: „Împărăţia Cerurilor poate fi asemănată cu un om care a semănat o sămânţă bună în ogorul lui.

25 b ut while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.

Dar, în timp ce oamenii dormeau, a venit duşmanul lui, a semănat neghină printre grâu şi apoi a plecat.

26 B ut when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

Când plantele au răsărit şi au făcut rod, a apărut şi neghina.

27 A nd the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it tares?

Sclavii stăpânului casei au venit şi i-au zis: – Stăpâne, oare n-ai semănat tu sămânţă bună în ogorul tău? De unde are atunci neghină?

28 A nd he said unto them, An enemy hath done this. And the servants say unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

El le-a răspuns: – Un duşman a făcut lucrul acesta. Sclavii l-au întrebat: – Vrei să mergem s-o strângem?

29 B ut he saith, Nay; lest haply while ye gather up the tares, ye root up the wheat with them.

Dar el le-a răspuns: – Nu, ca nu cumva, atunci când strângeţi neghina, să dezrădăcinaţi şi grâul împreună cu ea.

30 L et both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.

Lăsaţi-le pe amândouă să crească împreună până la seceriş, iar la vremea secerişului le voi spune secerătorilor: «Strângeţi mai întâi neghina şi legaţi-o în snopi pentru a fi arsă, iar grâul adunaţi-l în hambarul meu!»“ Pilda bobului de muştar şi a drojdiei

31 A nother parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

Isus le-a pus înainte o altă pildă şi le-a zis: „Împărăţia Cerurilor este ca un bob de muştar, pe care l-a luat un om şi l-a semănat în ogorul său:

32 w hich indeed is less than all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof.

el este într-adevăr cel mai mic dintre toate seminţele, dar, după ce a crescut, este mai mare decât zarzavaturile şi devine un copac, aşa că păsările cerului vin şi îşi fac cuibul între ramurile lui“.

33 A nother parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.

Le-a mai pus înainte o altă pildă şi le-a zis: „Împărăţia Cerurilor este ca drojdia pe care o ia o femeie şi o pune în trei măsuri de făină şi care, până la urmă, face să dospească tot aluatul.“

34 A ll these things spake Jesus in parables unto the multitudes; and without a parable spake he nothing unto them:

Isus le-a spus mulţimilor toate aceste lucruri în pilde. Nu le vorbea deloc fără să folosească pilde,

35 t hat it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.

ca să se împlinească astfel ce a fost spus prin profetul care zice: „Îmi voi deschide gura cu pilde, voi rosti lucruri ascunse de la întemeierea lumii“. Pilda neghinei explicată

36 T hen he left the multitudes, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Explain unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

Apoi Isus le-a dat drumul mulţimilor şi a intrat în casă. Ucenicii Lui au venit la El şi I-au zis: – Explică-ne pilda cu neghina din ogor!

37 A nd he answered and said, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

Isus le-a răspuns: – Cel Ce seamănă sămânţa bună este Fiul Omului.

38 a nd the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one;

Ogorul este lumea. Sămânţa bună îi reprezintă pe fiii Împărăţiei, iar neghina îi reprezintă pe fiii celui rău.

39 a nd the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are angels.

Duşmanul care a semănat-o este diavolul. Secerişul este sfârşitul veacului, iar secerătorii sunt îngerii.

40 A s therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so shall it be in the end of the world.

Deci, aşa cum este strânsă neghina şi arsă în foc, tot aşa va fi şi la sfârşitul veacului:

41 T he Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity,

Fiul Omului Îşi va trimite îngerii, care vor strânge din Împărăţia Lui toate pricinile de păcătuire şi pe cei ce săvârşesc fărădelegea

42 a nd shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

şi îi vor arunca în cuptorul de foc. Acolo va fi plânsul şi scrâşnirea dinţilor!

43 T hen shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear.

Atunci cei drepţi vor străluci ca soarele în Împărăţia Tatălui lor. Cine are urechi, să audă! Pilda comorii ascunse şi a mărgăritarului

44 T he kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in the field; which a man found, and hid; and in his joy he goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Împărăţia Cerurilor este ca o comoară ascunsă într-un ogor. Omul care o găseşte, o ascunde şi, de bucurie, se duce şi vinde tot ce are şi apoi cumpără ogorul acela.

45 A gain, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a merchant seeking goodly pearls:

De asemenea, Împărăţia Cerurilor este ca un negustor care caută mărgăritare frumoase.

46 a nd having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Când găseşte un mărgăritar foarte preţios, se duce şi vinde tot ce are, iar apoi îl cumpără. Pilda năvodului

47 A gain, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

Sau Împărăţia Cerurilor este ca un năvod care a fost aruncat în mare şi în care au fost prinşi tot felul de peşti.

48 w hich, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach; and they sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but the bad they cast away.

Când este plin, pescarii îl scot pe ţărm, se aşază şi adună peştii buni în vase, iar pe cei răi îi aruncă afară.

49 S o shall it be in the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the righteous,

Tot aşa va fi şi la sfârşitul veacului: îngerii vor ieşi, îi vor separa pe cei răi din mijlocul celor drepţi

50 a nd shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

şi-i vor arunca în cuptorul de foc. Acolo va fi plânsul şi scrâşnirea dinţilor!

51 H ave ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea.

Aţi înţeles voi toate aceste lucruri? – Da, i-au răspuns ei.

52 A nd he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

El le-a zis: – De aceea, orice cărturar care a fost instruit cu privire la Împărăţia Cerurilor este ca stăpânul unei case, care scoate din vistieria lui lucruri noi şi lucruri vechi. Necredinţa celor din Nazaret

53 A nd it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

După ce a terminat de spus aceste pilde, Isus a plecat de acolo

54 A nd coming into his own country he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

şi a venit în patria Lui. El a început să le dea învăţătură oamenilor în sinagoga lor, în aşa fel încât aceştia erau uimiţi şi se întrebau: „De unde are Acest Om înţelepciunea aceasta şi puterea de a face minuni?

55 I s not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?

Oare nu este Acesta fiul tâmplarului? Nu este Maria mama Lui, iar Iacov, Iosif, Simon şi Iuda nu sunt oare fraţii Lui?

56 A nd his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

Şi surorile Lui, nu sunt oare toate printre noi? Atunci de unde are Acest Om toate aceste lucruri?“

57 A nd they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.

Şi astfel ei se poticneau în El. Isus însă le-a zis: „Un profet nu este fără onoare decât în patria şi în casa lui“.

58 A nd he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Şi n-a făcut multe minuni acolo din cauza necredinţei lor.
