1 D umnezeu este adăpostul şi tăria noastră, un ajutor Care nu lipseşte niciodată în necaz!

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

2 D e aceea nu ne temem, chiar dacă s-ar clătina pământul şi s-ar zgudui munţii în inima mărilor,

Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas;

3 c hiar dacă i-ar vui şi i-ar fierbe apele şi s-ar ridica până acolo încât să se cutremure munţii! Sela

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains tremble with the swelling thereof. Selah

4 E ste un râu ale cărui izvoare înveselesc cetatea lui Dumnezeu, Locul Sfânt al locuinţelor Celui Preaînalt.

There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

5 C âtă vreme este Dumnezeu în mijlocul ei, ea nu se clatină; Dumnezeu îi vine în ajutor la fiecare revărsat al zorilor.

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God will help her, and that right early.

6 N eamurile se agită, regatele se clatină; când Îşi ridică El glasul, pământul se topeşte.

The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7 D omnul Oştirilor este cu noi, Dumnezeul lui Iacov este întăritura noastră! Sela

Jehovah of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

8 V eniţi şi priviţi lucrările Domnului, prin care El a pustiit pământul!

Come, behold the works of Jehovah, What desolations he hath made in the earth.

9 E l opreşte războaiele până la capătul lumii, zdrobeşte arcul, rupe lancea şi arde în foc carele.

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariots in the fire.

10 „ Opriţi-vă şi recunoaşteţi că Eu sunt Dumnezeu! Eu voi fi înălţat printre neamuri, voi fi înălţat pe pământ!“

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
