1 A tunci Isus S-a suit în barcă, a traversat înapoi marea şi S-a dus în cetatea Lui.

And he entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.

2 Ş i iată că nişte oameni au adus la El un paralitic întins pe un pat. Când le-a văzut Isus credinţa, i-a zis paraliticului: „Îndrăzneşte, fiule! Păcatele îţi sunt iertate!“

And behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins are forgiven.

3 A tunci unii cărturari şi-au zis în ei înşişi: „Acest Om blasfemiază!“

And behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

4 I sus însă, cunoscându-le gândurile, a zis: „De ce gândiţi lucruri rele în inimile voastre?

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

5 C ăci ce este mai uşor a spune: «Păcatele îţi sunt iertate!» sau a spune: «Ridică-te şi umblă!»?

For which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and walk?

6 D ar ca să ştiţi că Fiul Omului are pe pământ autoritatea de a ierta păcatele...“, şi atunci i-a zis paraliticului: „Ridică-te, ia-ţi patul şi du-te acasă!“

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), Arise, and take up thy bed, and go up unto thy house.

7 Ş i el s-a ridicat şi s-a dus acasă.

And he arose, and departed to his house.

8 M ulţimile s-au înfricoşat când au văzut lucrul acesta şi L-au slăvit pe Dumnezeu, Cel Care a le-dat oamenilor o astfel de autoritate. Chemarea lui Matei; Isus stă la masă cu „păcătoşii“

But when the multitudes saw it, they were afraid, and glorified God, who had given such authority unto men.

9 P lecând mai departe de acolo, Isus a văzut un om, numit Matei, şezând la masa unde se colectau taxele şi i-a zis: „Urmează-Mă!“. El s-a ridicat şi L-a urmat.

And as Jesus passed by from thence, he saw a man, called Matthew, sitting at the place of toll: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

10 Î n timp ce Isus stătea la masă în casa lui Matei, iată că mulţi colectori de taxe şi păcătoşi au venit să ia masa împreună cu El şi cu ucenicii Săi.

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

11 C ând au văzut fariseii lucrul acesta, i-au întrebat pe ucenicii lui Isus: – De ce mănâncă Învăţătorul vostru cu colectorii de taxe şi cu păcătoşii?

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Teacher with the publicans and sinners?

12 Î nsă Isus i-a auzit şi le-a zis: – Nu cei sănătoşi au nevoie de doctor, ci cei bolnavi.

But when he heard it, he said, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick.

13 D uceţi-vă să învăţaţi ce înseamnă: „Milă doresc, nu jertfă!“ Căci Eu n-am venit să-i chem pe cei drepţi, ci pe cei păcătoşi. Întrebarea ucenicilor lui Ioan despre post

But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

14 A tunci ucenicii lui Ioan au venit la El şi L-au întrebat: – De ce noi şi fariseii postim des, iar ucenicii Tăi nu postesc deloc?

Then come to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

15 I sus le-a răspuns: – Se pot jeli nuntaşii atâta vreme cât mirele este cu ei? Vor veni însă zilele când mirele va fi luat de la ei şi atunci vor posti.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast.

16 N imeni nu pune o bucată de pânză nouă la o haină veche, căci peticul se va desprinde din haină şi ruptura se va face mai mare.

And no man putteth a piece of undressed cloth upon an old garment; for that which should fill it up taketh from the garment, and a worse rent is made.

17 Ş i nimeni nu pune vinul nou în burdufuri vechi. Dacă face aşa, burdufurile se vor crăpa, vinul se va vărsa şi burdufurile vor fi distruse. Ci vinul nou se pune în burdufuri noi şi astfel se păstrează amândouă. Vindecarea unei femei şi învierea unei fetiţe

Neither do men put new wine into old wine-skins: else the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins perish: but they put new wine into fresh wine-skins, and both are preserved.

18 Î n timp ce Isus spunea aceste lucruri, a venit unul dintre conducătorii sinagogii, I s-a închinat şi I-a zis: „Fiica mea tocmai a murit, dar vino şi pune-Ţi mâna peste ea şi va trăi!“

While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

19 I sus S-a ridicat şi a plecat în urma lui împreună cu ucenicii Săi.

And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

20 Ş i iată că o femeie, care de doisprezece ani avea o scurgere de sânge, a venit prin spate şi s-a atins de marginea hainei Lui.

And behold, a woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment:

21 C ăci îşi zicea: „Dacă aş putea măcar să mă ating de haina Lui, voi fi vindecată!“

for she said within herself, If I do but touch his garment, I shall be made whole.

22 I sus S-a întors şi a văzut-o. El i-a zis: „Îndrăzneşte, fiică! Credinţa ta te-a vindecat!“ Şi femeia a fost vindecată chiar în ceasul acela.

But Jesus turning and seeing her said, Daughter, be of good cheer; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

23 C ând a ajuns Isus în casa conducătorului sinagogii şi i-a văzut pe cei ce cântau de jale la fluier şi mulţimea tulburată,

And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the flute-players, and the crowd making a tumult,

24 l e-a zis: „Plecaţi, pentru că fetiţa n-a murit, ci doarme!“ Ei însă râdeau de El.

he said, Give place: for the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

25 D upă ce mulţimea a fost scoasă afară, Isus a intrat înăuntru, a luat-o pe fetiţă de mână şi ea s-a ridicat.

But when the crowd was put forth, he entered in, and took her by the hand; and the damsel arose.

26 V estea despre această întâmplare s-a răspândit în tot ţinutul acela. Vindecarea a doi orbi şi a unui mut

And the fame hereof went forth into all that land.

27 C ând a plecat de acolo, s-au luat după El doi orbi care strigau şi ziceau: – Ai milă de noi, Fiul lui David!

And as Jesus passed by from thence, two blind men followed him, crying out, and saying, Have mercy on us, thou son of David.

28 D upă ce a intrat Isus în casă, orbii s-au apropiat de El, iar El i-a întrebat: – Credeţi că pot face lucrul acesta? – Da, Doamne, I-au răspuns ei.

And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

29 A tunci El le-a atins ochii şi le-a zis: – Să vi se facă după credinţa voastră!

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done unto you.

30 Ş i ochii lor au fost deschişi. Isus le-a atras atenţia şi le-a zis: – Vedeţi să nu ştie nimeni!

And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

31 D ar ei au ieşit şi au răspândit vestea despre El în tot ţinutul acela.

But they went forth, and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

32 Î n timp ce plecau ei, iată că au adus la Isus un om mut, care era demoniac.

And as they went forth, behold, there was brought to him a dumb man possessed with a demon.

33 D upă ce a fost scos demonul din el, mutul a început să vorbească. Mulţimile se mirau şi ziceau: „Niciodată nu s-a mai văzut aşa ceva în Israel!“

And when the demon was cast out, the dumb man spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

34 Î nsă fariseii ziceau: „El scoate demonii cu ajutorul conducătorului demonilor!“ Lucrători puţini pentru un seceriş atât de mare

But the Pharisees said, By the prince of the demons casteth he out demons.

35 I sus călătorea prin toate cetăţile şi satele, dând învăţătură în sinagogile lor, predicând Evanghelia Împărăţiei şi vindecând orice boală şi orice neputinţă.

And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.

36 C ând a văzut El mulţimile, I s-a făcut milă de ele, pentru că erau necăjite şi neajutorate ca nişte oi care nu au păstor.

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were distressed and scattered, as sheep not having a shepherd.

37 A tunci le-a zis ucenicilor Săi: „Secerişul este mare, dar lucrătorii sunt puţini!

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers are few.

38 R ugaţi-L deci pe Domnul secerişului să trimită lucrători la secerişul Său!“

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth laborers into his harvest.
