1 L a Tine, Doamne, caut adăpost! Să nu rămân de ruşine vreodată!

In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge: Let me never be put to shame.

2 Î n dreptatea Ta izbăveşte-mă şi scapă-mă! Pleacă-Ţi urechea spre mine şi mântuieşte-mă!

Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me: Bow down thine ear unto me, and save me.

3 F ii o stâncă de adăpost pentru mine la care să pot veni totdeauna! Porunceşte izbăvirea mea, căci Tu eşti stânca şi fortăreaţa mea!

Be thou to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given commandment to save me; For thou art my rock and my fortress.

4 D umnezeul meu, scapă-mă din mâna celui rău, din braţul celui nedrept şi crud!

Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

5 T u, Stăpânul meu, eşti nădejdea mea! Domnul este încrederea mea încă din tinereţe!

For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: Thou art my trust from my youth.

6 M -am sprijinit pe Tine încă din pântecele mamei mele: Tu m-ai scos din pântecele mamei mele, de aceea Ţie Îţi voi aduce lauda mea mereu!

By thee have I been holden up from the womb; Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: My praise shall be continually of thee.

7 A m ajuns ca un semn pentru mulţi, dar Tu eşti adăpostul meu cel trainic!

I am as a wonder unto many; But thou art my strong refuge.

8 G ura-mi este plină de lauda Ta; vorbesc despre splendoarea Ta tot timpul zilei.

My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, And with thy honor all the day.

9 N u mă lepăda la bătrâneţe! Când îmi va fi trecut puterea, nu mă părăsi,

Cast me not off in the time of old age; Forsake me not when my strength faileth.

10 c ăci duşmanii mei vorbesc despre mine şi cei ce caută să-mi ia viaţa uneltesc împotriva mea,

For mine enemies speak concerning me; And they that watch for my soul take counsel together,

11 z icând: „L-a părăsit Dumnezeu! Urmăriţi-l şi prindeţi-l, căci nu mai are scăpare!“

Saying, God hath forsaken him: Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver.

12 D umnezeule, nu Te îndepărta de mine! Dumnezeul meu, vino degrabă în ajutorul meu!

O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me.

13 S ă piară în ruşine potrivnicii sufletului meu! Ocara şi dezonoarea să-i acopere pe cei ce-mi caută răul!

Let them be put to shame and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.

14 E u însă voi continua să nădăjduiesc şi Te voi lăuda tot mai mult!

But I will hope continually, And will praise thee yet more and more.

15 G ura mea va povesti dreptatea Ta şi mântuirea Ta toată ziua, chiar dacă nu le cunosc marginile.

My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, And of thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers thereof.

16 V oi proclama isprăvile Tale, Stăpâne Doamne, voi aminti dreptatea Ta şi numai a Ta!

I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

17 D umnezeule, m-ai învăţat încă din tinereţea mea, iar eu continui să vestesc minunile Tale până în ziua de azi.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

18 D umnezeule, nu mă părăsi nici chiar când voi fi bătrân şi cărunt, până când nu voi vorbi despre puterea Ta generaţiei următoare şi despre tăria Ta celor ce vor veni.

Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.

19 D reptatea Ta, Dumnezeule, ajunge până la cer! Tu ai înfăptuit lucruri măreţe. Dumnezeule, cine este ca Tine?

Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high; Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto thee?

20 D eşi m-ai făcut să văd numeroase şi amare necazuri, Tu îmi vei da din nou viaţă; chiar şi din adâncimile pământului Tu mă vei scoate.

Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles, Wilt quicken us again, And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.

21 Î mi vei mări cinstea şi mă vei mângâia din nou.

Increase thou my greatness, And turn again and comfort me.

22 D ar şi eu Te voi lăuda cu harfa pentru credincioşia Ta, Dumnezeul meu! Îţi voi cânta din liră, Sfântule al lui Israel!

I will also praise thee with the psaltery, Even thy truth, O my God: Unto thee will I sing praises with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

23 B uzele mele vor răsuna de bucurie când Îţi vor cânta, şi, asemenea lor, şi sufletul meu pe care l-ai răscumpărat!

My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee; And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

24 L imba mea, de asemenea, va vesti toată ziua dreptatea Ta, căci cei ce-mi voiau răul au fost făcuţi de ruşine şi de râs.

My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long; For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, that seek my hurt.
