1 D oamne, Tu ai fost binevoitor cu ţara Ta, aducând înapoi pe prizonierii lui Iacov.

Jehovah, thou hast been favorable unto thy land; Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 A i iertat vina poporului Tău, acoperindu-i toate păcatele. Sela

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah

3 Ţ i-ai oprit toată furia, ai renunţat la mânia Ta aprinsă!

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath; Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 D umnezeul mântuirii noastre, adu-ne înapoi şi opreşte-Ţi supărarea faţă de noi!

Turn us, O God of our salvation, And cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

5 O are să te fi mâniat Tu pe noi pe vecie? Vei continua Tu să te mânii din generaţie în generaţie?

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6 O are să nu ne înviorezi Tu din nou, ca astfel poporul Tău să se bucure iarăşi de Tine?

Wilt thou not quicken us again, That thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 D oamne, arată-ne iarăşi îndurarea Ta! Dă-ne din nou mântuirea Ta!

Show us thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, And grant us thy salvation.

8 E u voi asculta ce vorbeşte Dumnezeu, Domnul, căci El promite pacea poporului Său şi credincioşilor Săi, numai ei să nu se întoarcă la nebunie.

I will hear what God Jehovah will speak; For he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: But let them not turn again to folly.

9 Î ntr-adevăr, mântuirea Lui este aproape de cei ce se tem de El, pentru ca slava să locuiască în ţara noastră.

Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, That glory may dwell in our land.

10 Î ndurarea şi credincioşia se întâlnesc, iar dreptatea şi pacea se sărută.

Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 A devărul răsare din pământ, iar dreptatea priveşte din ceruri.

Truth springeth out of the earth; And righteousness hath looked down from heaven.

12 D a, Domnul dă ceea ce este bun, iar pământul nostru îşi dă rodul.

Yea, Jehovah will give that which is good; And our land shall yield its increase.

13 D reptatea merge înaintea Lui şi pregăteşte calea pentru paşii Săi.

Righteousness shall go before him, And shall make his footsteps a way to walk in.
