1 Д ля дириґетна хору. Синів Кореєвих. Псалом. (85-2) Ти вподобав Собі Свою землю, о Господи, долю Якову Ти повернув,

Jehovah, thou hast been favorable unto thy land; Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 ( 85-3) Ти провину народу Свого простив, увесь гріх їхній покрив! Села.

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah

3 ( 85-4) Ти гнів Свій увесь занехав, Ти повстримав Свій гнів від палючої лютости!

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath; Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 ( 85-5) Поверни нас до Себе, о Боже нашого спасіння, а Свій гнів проти нас поторощ!

Turn us, O God of our salvation, And cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

5 ( 85-6) Чи навіки Ти гніватись будеш на нас, і протягнеш Свій гнів з роду в рід?

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6 ( 85-7) Отож, Ти оживиш нас знову, і буде радіти народ Твій Тобою!

Wilt thou not quicken us again, That thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 ( 85-8) Покажи нам, о Господи, милість Свою, і подай нам спасіння Своє,

Show us thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, And grant us thy salvation.

8 ( 85-9) нехай я почую, що каже Бог, Господь, бо говорить Він Мир! народові Своєму й Своїм святим, і нехай до безумства вони не вертаються!

I will hear what God Jehovah will speak; For he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: But let them not turn again to folly.

9 ( 85-10) Справді, спасіння Його близьке тим, хто боїться Його, щоб слава Його була в нашій землі.

Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, That glory may dwell in our land.

10 ( 85-11) Милість та правда спіткаються, справедливість та мир поцілуються,

Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 ( 85-12) правда з землі виростає, а справедливість із небес визирає.

Truth springeth out of the earth; And righteousness hath looked down from heaven.

12 ( 85-13) і Господь дасть добро, а земля наша дасть урожай свій.

Yea, Jehovah will give that which is good; And our land shall yield its increase.

13 ( 85-14) Справедливість ходитиме перед обличчям Його, і кроки свої на дорогу поставить.

Righteousness shall go before him, And shall make his footsteps a way to walk in.
