1 Д ля дириґетна хору. Псалом Давидів. (21-2) Господи, силою Твоєю веселиться цар, і спасінням Твоїм як він сильно радіє!

The king shall joy in thy strength, O Jehovah; And in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 ( 21-3) Ти йому дав бажання серця його, і прохання уст його не відмовив. Села.

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, And hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah

3 ( 21-4) Бо Ти його випередив благословеннями добра, на голову йому поклав корону зо щирого золота.

For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness: Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.

4 ( 21-5) Життя він у Тебе просив, і дав Ти йому довголіття на вічні віки!

He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him, Even length of days for ever and ever.

5 ( 21-6) Слава велика його при Твоїй допомозі, хвалу та величність кладеш Ти на нього,

His glory is great in thy salvation: Honor and majesty dost thou lay upon him.

6 ( 21-7) бо Ти вчиниш його благословенням вічним, звеселиш його радістю, як буде він разом з Тобою!

For thou makest him most blessed for ever: Thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.

7 ( 21-8) Цар має надію на Господа, у ласці Всевишнього не захитається він.

For the king trusteth in Jehovah; And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.

8 ( 21-9) Знайде рука Твоя всіх ворогів Твоїх, знайде правиця Твоя Твоїх ненависників.

Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.

9 ( 21-10) На час гніву Свого Ти їх учиниш огненною піччю, Господь гнівом Своїм їх понищить, і огонь пожере їх.

Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger: Jehovah will swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

10 ( 21-11) Ти вигубиш плід їхній із землі, а їхнє насіння з-поміж синів людських.

Their fruit wilt thou destroy from the earth, And their seed from among the children of men.

11 ( 21-12) Бо нещастя на Тебе вони простягли, замишляли злу думку, якої здійснити не зможуть,

For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

12 ( 21-13) бо Ти їх обернеш плечима до нас, на тятивах Своїх міцно стріли поставиш на них.

For thou wilt make them turn their back; Thou wilt make ready with thy bowstrings against their face.

13 ( 21-14) Піднесися ж, о Господи, в силі Своїй, а ми будем співати й хвалити могутність Твою!

Be thou exalted, O Jehovah, in thy strength: So will we sing and praise thy power.
