1 F erice de oricine se teme de Domnul şi umblă pe căile Lui!

Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, That walketh in his ways.

2 C ăci atunci vei mânca din munca mâinilor tale, vei fi fericit şi-ţi va fi bine.

For thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands: Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

3 S oţia ta va fi ca o viţă roditoare în locurile retrase ale casei tale, fiii tăi vor fi ca lăstarii de măslin împrejurul mesei tale.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine, In the innermost parts of thy house; Thy children like olive plants, Round about thy table.

4 A şa este binecuvântat bărbatul care se teme de Domnul.

Behold, thus shall the man be blessed That feareth Jehovah.

5 D omnul să te binecuvânteze din Sion, ca să vezi propăşirea Ierusalimului în toate zilele vieţii tale

Jehovah bless thee out of Zion: And see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

6 ş i să-i vezi pe fiii fiilor tăi! Pacea să fie peste Israel!

Yea, see thou thy children's children. Peace be upon Israel..
