1 T hese are the statutes and the ordinances which ye shall observe to do in the land which Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, hath given thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

Оце постанови та закони, які ви пильнуватимете виконувати в Краї, що дав Господь, Бог батьків твоїх, на насліддя його всі дні, які житимете на цій землі.

2 Y e shall surely destroy all the places wherein the nations that ye shall dispossess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

Конче винищите всі ті місця, що служили там люди, яких ви виганяєте, своїм богам на високих горах і на пагірках, та під кожним зеленим деревом.

3 a nd ye shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods; and ye shall destroy their name out of that place.

І розвалите їхні жертівники, і поламаєте камінні стовпи для богів, і їхні святі дерева попалите в огні, а бовванів їхніх богів порубаєте, і вигубите їхнє ймення з того місця.

4 Y e shall not do so unto Jehovah your God.

Не робитимете так Господеві, вашому Богові,

5 B ut unto the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come;

бо тільки на місці, яке вибере Господь, Бог ваш, зо всіх ваших племен, щоб покласти там Ім'я Своє, на місці перебування Його будете шукати, і ти прийдеш туди.

6 a nd thither ye shall bring your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill-offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock:

І принесете туди свої цілопалення, і свої жертви, і свої десятини та приношення рук своїх, і обітниці свої, і дари свої, і перворідних худоби своєї великої та худоби своєї дрібної.

7 a nd there ye shall eat before Jehovah your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee.

І будете їсти там перед лицем Господа, Бога вашого, і будете тішитися всім, до чого доторкнеться ваша рука, ви та доми ваші, якими поблагословив тебе Господь, Бог твій.

8 Y e shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes;

Там ви не зробите так, як ми робимо сьогодні тут, кожен усе, що йому здається справедливим в очах тільки його,

9 f or ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

бо ви дотепер не ввійшли до місця відпочинку й до спадщини, що Господь, Бог твій, дає тобі.

10 B ut when ye go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which Jehovah your God causeth you to inherit, and he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

А коли ви перейдете Йордан і осядете в Краї, що Господь, Бог ваш, дає вам на спадщину, і Він заспокоїть вас від усіх ворогів ваших навколо, і ви сидітимете безпечно,

11 t hen it shall come to pass that to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto Jehovah.

то станеться, на те місце, що його вибере Господь, Бог ваш, щоб Ім'я Його перебувало там, туди принесете все, що я вам наказую: свої цілопалення, і свої жертви, десятини свої та приношення рук своїх, і всі добірні жертви обітниць своїх, що обіцяєте Господеві.

12 A nd ye shall rejoice before Jehovah your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your men-servants, and your maid-servants, and the Levite that is within your gates, forasmuch as he hath no portion nor inheritance with you.

І будете тішитися перед лицем Господа, Бога вашого, ви й сини ваші, і дочки ваші, і раби ваші, і невільниці ваші, і Левит, що в ваших брамах, бо нема йому частки й спадку з вами.

13 T ake heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt-offerings in every place that thou seest;

Стережися, щоб не приносив ти своїх цілопалень на кожному місці, яке побачиш,

14 b ut in the place which Jehovah shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

бо тільки на тому місці, яке вибере Господь в одному з племен твоїх, там принесеш свої цілопалення, і там зробиш усе, що я наказую тобі.

15 N otwithstanding, thou mayest kill and eat flesh within all thy gates, after all the desire of thy soul, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.

Але скільки запрагне душа твоя, будеш різати й будеш їсти м'ясо, за благословенням Господа, Бога твого, що його дав тобі в усіх брамах твоїх; нечистий і чистий буде їсти його, як сарну й як оленя.

16 O nly ye shall not eat the blood; thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.

Тільки крови не їстимеш, на землю виллєш її, як воду.

17 T hou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy grain, or of thy new wine, or of thine oil, or the firstlings of thy herd or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill-offerings, nor the heave-offering of thy hand;

Не зможеш ти їсти в брамах своїх десятини збіжжя свого, і соку виноградного свого, і оливи своєї, і перворідних худоби своєї великої й худоби своєї дрібної, і всіх обітниць своїх, що будеш обіцяти, і добровільних дарів своїх, і приношення своєї руки,

18 b ut thou shalt eat them before Jehovah thy God in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before Jehovah thy God in all that thou puttest thy hand unto.

бо тільки перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, будеш їсти його в місці, яке вибере Господь, Бог твій, ти, і син твій, і дочка твоя, і раб твій, і невільниця твоя, і Левит, що в брамах твоїх. І будеш ти радіти перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, усім, до чого доторкнеться рука твоя.

19 T ake heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest in thy land.

Стережися, щоб не залишив ти Левита по всі дні на землі своїй.

20 W hen Jehovah thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul desireth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, after all the desire of thy soul.

Коли Господь, Бог твій, поширить границю твою, як Він говорив тобі, і ти скажеш: Нехай я їм м'ясо, бо буде жадати душа твоя їсти м'ясо, то за всім жаданням душі своєї будеш ти їсти м'ясо.

21 I f the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to put his name there, be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which Jehovah hath given thee, as I have commanded thee; and thou mayest eat within thy gates, after all the desire of thy soul.

Коли буде далеке від тебе те місце, що вибере Господь, Бог твій, щоб перебувало там Ім'я Його, то заріжеш із худоби своєї великої та з худоби своєї дрібної, щоб дав Господь тобі, як наказав я тобі, і будеш їсти в брамах своїх усім жаданням своєї душі.

22 E ven as the gazelle and as the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat thereof: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof alike.

Тільки як їсться сарну й оленя, так будеш їсти його, нечистий та чистий однаково можуть їсти його.

23 O nly be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou shalt not eat the life with the flesh.

Тільки будь обережним, щоб не їсти крови, бо кров вона душа, і ти не будеш їсти душі разом з м'ясом.

24 T hou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.

Не будеш їсти її, на землю виллєш її, як воду.

25 T hou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah.

Не будеш їсти її, щоб було добре тобі та синам твоїм по тобі, коли робитимеш справедливе в Господніх очах.

26 O nly thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which Jehovah shall choose:

Тільки святощі свої, що будуть у тебе, та обітниці свої понесеш, і прийдеш до місця, яке вибере Господь.

27 a nd thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of Jehovah thy God; and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of Jehovah thy God; and thou shalt eat the flesh.

І принесеш своє цілопалення, м'ясо та кров, на жертівнику Господа, Бога свого, а кров твоїх інших жертов буде вилита на жертівнику Господа, Бога твого, а м'ясо будеш їсти.

28 O bserve and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the eyes of Jehovah thy God.

Виконуй і слухай усі ті слова, що я наказую тобі, щоб було добре тобі та синам твоїм по тобі навіки, коли будеш робити добре та справедливе в очах Господа, Бога свого.

29 W hen Jehovah thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest in to dispossess them, and thou dispossessest them, and dwellest in their land;

Коли Господь, Бог твій, вигубить народи, куди ти входиш, щоб посісти їх перед собою, і посядеш їх, і осядеш у їхньому Краї,

30 t ake heed to thyself that thou be not ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How do these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

то стережися, щоб не впасти до пастки за ними, коли вони будуть вигублені перед тобою, і щоб не шукав ти їхніх богів, говорячи: Як служать ті люди богам своїм, то зроблю так і я.

31 T hou shalt not do so unto Jehovah thy God: for every abomination to Jehovah, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.

Не зробиш так Господеві, Богу своєму; бо всяку гидоту, яку Господь зненавидів, робили вони богам своїм, бо навіть синів своїх та дочок своїх вони палять в огні для богів своїх.

32 W hat thing soever I command you, that shall ye observe to do: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

(13-1) Кожне слово, що я наказую його вам, будете додержувати виконувати, не додаси до нього, і не відіймеш від нього.
