1 A nd bring thou near unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

А ти візьми до себе брата свого Аарона та синів його з ним, з-поміж Ізраїлевих синів, щоб він був священиком для Мене, Аарона, Надава, і Авігу, Елеазара та Ітамара, синів Ааронових.

2 A nd thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, for glory and for beauty.

І зробиш священні шати для брата свого Аарона на славу й красу.

3 A nd thou shalt speak unto all that are wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron's garments to sanctify him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

І ти скажеш усім мудросердим, що Я наповнив їх духом мудрости, і вони зроблять Ааронові шати для посвячення його, щоб був священиком для Мене.

4 A nd these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a coat of checker work, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

А оце ті шати, що вони зроблять: нагрудник, і ефод, і верхню шату, і хітон плетений, завій і пояс. І зробиш священні шати для брата свого Аарона та для синів його, щоб він був священиком для Мене.

5 A nd they shall take the gold, and the blue, and the purple, and the scarlet, and the fine linen.

І візьмуть вони золота, і блакиті, і пурпуру, і червені та віссону,

6 A nd they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the skilful workman.

і зроблять ефода з золота, блакиті, і пурпуру, і червені та з віссону суканого, робота мистця.

7 I t shall have two shoulder-pieces joined to the two ends thereof, that it may be joined together.

Два злучені нараменники будуть у нього при обох кінцях його, і буде він сполучений.

8 A nd the skilfully woven band, which is upon it, wherewith to gird it on, shall be like the work thereof and of the same piece; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

А пояс мистецький його ефоду, що на нім, тієї ж роботи, нехай буде з нього, з золота, блакиті, і пурпуру, і червені та з суканого віссону.

9 A nd thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:

І візьмеш два оніксові камені, та й вирізьбиш на них імена Ізраїлевих синів,

10 s ix of their names on the one stone, and the names of the six that remain on the other stone, according to their birth.

шість із їхніх імен на камені однім, а ймення шости позосталих на камені другім, за їхнім народженням.

11 W ith the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones, according to the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be inclosed in settings of gold.

Роботою різьбаря каменя, різьбою печатки вирізьбиш на тих обох каменях імена Ізраїлевих синів; оточені золотими гніздами зробиш їх.

12 A nd thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before Jehovah upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

І положиш обидва камені на нараменниках ефоду, камені пам'яти для Ізраїлевих синів. І буде носити Аарон їхні ймення перед Божим лицем на обох плечах своїх на пам'ять.

13 A nd thou shalt make settings of gold,

А гнізда поробиш із золота.

14 a nd two chains of pure gold; like cords shalt thou make them, of wreathen work: and thou shalt put the wreathen chains on the settings.

І два ланцюги зо щирого золота, плетеними поробиш їх, роботою шнурів. І даси ті плетені ланцюги на гнізда.

15 A nd thou shalt make a breastplate of judgment, the work of the skilful workman; like the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

І зробиш нагрудника судного, роботою мистця, як робота ефоду зробиш його, із золота, блакиті, і пурпуру, і червені та з віссону суканого зробиш його.

16 F oursquare it shall be and double; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof.

Квадратовий нехай буде він, зложений удвоє, п'ядь довжина його, і п'ядь ширина його.

17 A nd thou shalt set in it settings of stones, four rows of stones: a row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle shall be the first row;

І понасаджуєш на ньому каменеве насадження, чотири ряди каменя. Ряд: рубін, топаз і смарагд ряд перший.

18 a nd the second row an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond;

А ряд другий: карбункул, сапфір і яспіс.

19 a nd the third row a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;

А ряд третій: опаль, агат і аметист.

20 a nd the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be inclosed in gold in their settings.

А четвертий ряд: хризоліт, і онікс, і берил, вони будуть вставлені в золото в своїх гніздах.

21 A nd the stones shall be according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings of a signet, every one according to his name, they shall be for the twelve tribes.

А камені нехай будуть на ймення дванадцяти Ізраїлевих синів, на ймення їх; різьбою печатки кожен на ймення його нехай будуть для дванадцяти родів.

22 A nd thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains like cords, of wreathen work of pure gold.

І поробиш на нагруднику сукані ланцюги плетеною роботою зо щирого золота.

23 A nd thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

І зробиш на нагруднику дві золоті каблучки, і даси ці дві каблучки на двох кінцях нагрудника.

24 A nd thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.

І даси два золоті шнури на дві ті каблучки до кінців нагрудника.

25 A nd the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt put on the two settings, and put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod in the forepart thereof.

А два кінці двох шнурів даси до двох гнізд, і даси на нараменники ефоду спереду його.

26 A nd thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate, upon the edge thereof, which is toward the side of the ephod inward.

І зробиш дві золоті каблучки, і покладеш їх на двох кінцях нагрудника на краї його, що до сторони ефоду, всередину.

27 A nd thou shalt make two rings of gold, and shalt put them on the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod underneath, in the forepart thereof, close by the coupling thereof, above the skilfully woven band of the ephod.

І зробиш дві золоті каблучки, та й даси їх на обидва нараменники ефоду здолу, спереду його, при сполученні його, над мистецьким поясом ефоду.

28 A nd they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be upon the skilfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.

І прив'яжуть нагрудника від каблучок його до каблучок ефоду блакитною ниткою, щоб був на мистецькім поясі ефоду, і не буде рухатись нагрудник із-над ефоду.

29 A nd Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before Jehovah continually.

І буде носити Аарон імена Ізраїлевих синів в суднім нагруднику на серці своїм, як буде входити до святині, на повсякчасну пам'ять перед Господнім лицем.

30 A nd thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before Jehovah: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before Jehovah continually.

І даси до судного нагрудника урім та туммім, і будуть вони на Аароновім серці при вході його перед Господнє лице. І буде завжди носити Аарон суд Ізраїлевих синів на своїм серці перед Господнім обличчям.

31 A nd thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.

І зробиш верхню шату для ефоду, усю блакитну.

32 A nd it shall have a hole for the head in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of a coat of mail, that it be not rent.

І нехай буде в середині її отвір для голови його; край отвору нехай буде навколо роботою ткача, як панцерний отвір буде їй, щоб їй не дертися.

33 A nd upon the skirts of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the skirts thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

І поробиш на подолку її гранатові яблука з блакиті, і пурпуру та з червені, на подолку її навколо, і золоті дзвінки поміж ними навколо,

34 a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe round about.

золотий дзвінок і гранатове яблуко, золотий дзвінок і гранатове яблуко на подолку тієї шати навколо.

35 A nd it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and the sound thereof shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before Jehovah, and when he cometh out, that he die not.

І нехай вона буде на Ааронові для служення, і нехай буде чутий голос його при вході його до святині перед Господнє обличчя, і при виході його, щоб йому не померти.

36 A nd thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLY TO JEHOVAH.

І зробиш квітку зо щирого золота, і вирізьбиш на ній, як різьба печатки: Святиня для Господа.

37 A nd thou shalt put it on a lace of blue, and it shall be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

І покладеш її на нитці з блакиті, і нехай вона буде на завої, на переді завою нехай буде вона.

38 A nd it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before Jehovah.

І нехай буде вона на Аароновім чолі, і нехай носить Аарон гріх тієї святощі, що Ізраїлеві сини посвятять її для всіх своїх святих дарунків. І нехай вона буде завжди на його чолі на благовоління для них перед Господнім лицем.

39 A nd thou shalt weave the coat in checker work of fine linen, and thou shalt make a mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make a girdle, the work of the embroiderer.

І витчеш хітона з віссону, і зробиш завоя з віссону, і зробиш пояса роботою гаптяра.

40 A nd for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and head-tires shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.

І для синів Ааронових поробиш хітони, і поробиш їм пояси, і поробиш їм покриття голови на славу й красу.

41 A nd thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and upon his sons with him, and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.

І понадягаєш їх на брата свого Аарона та на синів його з ним. І помажеш їх, і рукоположиш їх, і посвятиш їх, і будуть вони священиками Мені.

42 A nd thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover the flesh of their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:

І пороби їм льняну спідню одіж, щоб закрити тілесну наготу, від стегон аж до голінок нехай будуть вони.

43 A nd they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they go in unto the tent of meeting, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and unto his seed after him.

І нехай будуть вони на Ааронові та на синах його при вході їх до скинії заповіту, або при приході їх до жертівника на служення в святині, і не понесуть вони гріха, і не помруть. Це вічна постанова йому та нащадками його по ньому!
