1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

2 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am Jehovah your God.

Промовляй до Ізраїлевих синів, і скажеш їм: Я Господь, Бог ваш!

3 A fter the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do; neither shall ye walk in their statutes.

За чином єгипетського краю, що сиділи ви в нім, не робіть, і за чином Краю ханаанського, що Я впроваджую вас туди, не зробите, і звичаями їхніми не підете.

4 M ine ordinances shall ye do, and my statutes shall ye keep, to walk therein: I am Jehovah your God.

Ви виконуватимете устави Мої, і будете додержувати постанови Мої, щоб ними ходити. Я Господь, Бог ваш!

5 Y e shall therefore keep my statutes, and mine ordinances; which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am Jehovah.

І будете додержувати постанов Моїх та уставів Моїх, що людина їх виконує й ними живе. Я Господь!

6 N one of you shall approach to any that are near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am Jehovah.

Жоден чоловік не наблизиться до жодної однокровної своєї, щоб відкрити наготу. Я Господь!

7 T he nakedness of thy father, even the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

Наготи батька свого й наготи матері своєї не відкриєш, вона мати твоя, не відкриєш наготи її!

8 T he nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

Наготи жінки батька твого не відкриєш, вона нагота батька твого!

9 T he nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

Наготи сестри своєї, дочки батька свого або дочки матері своєї, що народилися в домі або народилися назовні, не відкриєш їхньої наготи!

10 T he nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.

Наготу дочки сина свого або дочки дочки своєї, не відкриєш наготи їхньої, бо вони нагота твоя!

11 T he nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

Наготи дочки жінки батька свого, народженої від батька твого, вона сестра твоя, не відкриєш наготи її!

12 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.

Наготи сестри батька свого не відкриєш, вона однокровна батька твого!

13 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.

Наготи сестри матері своєї не відкриєш, бо вона однокровна матері твоєї.

14 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.

Наготи брата батька свого не відкриєш, до жінки його не наблизишся, вона тітка твоя!

15 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

Наготи невістки своєї не відкриєш, вона жінка сина твого, не відкриєш наготи її!

16 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.

Наготи жінки брата свого не відкриєш, вона нагота брата твого!

17 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter; thou shalt not take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness.

Наготи жінки й дочки її не відкриєш; дочки сина її й дочки дочки її не візьмеш, щоб відкрити її наготу, вони однокровні її, це кровозмішання!

18 A nd thou shalt not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival to her, to uncover her nakedness, besides the other in her life-time.

І жінки з сестрою її не візьмеш на суперництво, щоб відкрити наготу її при ній за життя її.

19 A nd thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.

А до жінки в час відділення нечистости її не наблизишся, щоб відкрити наготу її.

20 A nd thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbor's wife, to defile thyself with her.

А з жінкою свого ближнього не будеш лежати на насіння, щоб нею не стати нечистим.

21 A nd thou shalt not give any of thy seed to make them pass through the fire to Molech; neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

А з насіння свого не даси на жертву Молохові, і не зневажиш Імени Бога свого. Я Господь!

22 T hou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

А з чоловіком не будеш лежати як з жінкою, гидота воно!

23 A nd thou shalt not lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith; neither shall any woman stand before a beast, to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

І з жодною худобиною не зляжешся, щоб не стати нею нечистим. І жінка не стане перед худобиною на злягання, це паскудство!

24 D efile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you;

Не занечищуйтеся тим усім, бо всім тим занечищені ті люди, яких Я виганяю перед вами.

25 A nd the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out her inhabitants.

І стала нечиста та земля, і Я полічив на ній її гріх, і та земля виригнула мешканців своїх!

26 Y e therefore shall keep my statutes and mine ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the home-born, nor the stranger that sojourneth among you;

І ви будете додержувати постанов Моїх та уставів Моїх, і не зробите жодної зо всіх тих гидот, як і тубілець чи приходько, що мешкає серед вас.

27 ( for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land is defiled);

Бо всі ті гидоти робили люди тієї землі, які перед вами, і стала нечиста та земля.

28 t hat the land vomit not you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

І щоб та земля не виригнула вас через ваше занечищення її, як вона виригнула народ, який перед вами.

29 F or whosoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.

Бо кожен, хто зробить одну зо всіх тих гидот, то душі, що роблять, будуть винищені з-посеред їхнього народу.

30 T herefore shall ye keep my charge, that ye practise not any of these abominable customs, which were practised before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am Jehovah your God.

І ви будете додержувати наказів Моїх, щоб не чинити чого з тих гидотних постанов, що роблені перед вами, і не споганитеся ними. Я Господь, Бог ваш!
