I cried to the Lord in my trouble, and He answered me.

2 Я сказал: «Избавь мою душу, Господи, от лгущих уст и обманчивого языка!»

O Lord, save me from lying lips and a false tongue.

3 Ч то Он даст тебе и что прибавит, обманчивый язык?

What will be given to you and what more will be done to you, you false tongue?

4 О н накажет тебя острыми стрелами воина и горящими углями дрока.

He will punish you with sharp arrows of the soldier, and with the hot fire of the broom tree.

5 Г оре мне, что пребываю в Мешехе и живу среди кедарских шатров!

It is bad for me, for I travel in Meshech and live among the tents of Kedar!

6 Д уша моя долго жила с ненавидящими мир.

I have lived too long with those who hate peace.

7 Я – мирный человек, но только заговорю – они к войне.

I am for peace. But when I speak, they are for war.
