1 A fter the plague, Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,

2 “ Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers’ houses, all who are able to go out to war in Israel.”

3 M oses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

На равнинах Моава, у Иордана, напротив Иерихона, Моисей и священник Элеазар говорили с ними и сказали:

4 “ Take a census, from twenty years old and upward; as Yahweh commanded Moses and the children of Israel.” These are those that came out of the land of Egypt.

– Сделайте перепись израильтян от двадцати лет и старше, как повелел Моисею Господь. Вот израильтяне, которые вышли из Египта:

5 R euben, the firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

Потомки Рувима, первенца Израиля: через Ханоха – клан ханохитов; через Фаллу – клан фаллуитов;

6 o f Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.

через Хецрона - клан хецронитов; через Харми – клан хармитов.

7 T hese are the families of the Reubenites; and those who were numbered of them were forty-three thousand seven hundred thirty.

Это кланы Рувима; исчислено было 43 730 мужчин.

8 T he sons of Pallu: Eliab.

Сыном Фаллу был Елиав,

9 T he sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram, who were called by the congregation, who rebelled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they rebelled against Yahweh,

а сыновьями Елиава – Немуил, Датан и Авирам. Эти Датан и Авирам были знатными людьми. Они восстали против Моисея и Аарона и оказались среди сообщников Кораха, когда те восстали против Господа.

10 a nd the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died; at the time the fire devoured two hundred fifty men, and they became a sign.

Земля разверзлась и поглотила их вместе с Корахом, сообщники которого погибли, когда огонь сжег двести пятьдесят мужчин. Они стали предостережением.

11 N otwithstanding, the sons of Korah didn’t die.

Но сыновья Кораха не погибли в тот день.

12 T he sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites;

Это кланы Гада; исчислено было 40 500 мужчин.

19 T he sons of Judah: Er and Onan. Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.

Сыновьями Иуды были Ир и Онан. Они умерли в Ханаане.

20 T he sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Perezites; of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites.

21 T he sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

Это кланы Иуды; исчислено было 76 500 мужчин.

23 T he sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puvah, the family of the Punites;

Потомки Иссахара по их кланам: через Толу – клан толаитов; через Фуву – клан фувитов;

24 o f Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.

25 T hese are the families of Issachar according to those who were numbered of them, sixty-four thousand three hundred.

Это кланы Иссахара; исчислено было 64 300 мужчин.

26 T he sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Seredites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.

Потомки Завулона по их кланам: через Середа – клан середитов; через Елона – клан елонитов; через Иахлеила – клан иахлеилитов.

27 T hese are the families of the Zebulunites according to those who were numbered of them, sixty thousand five hundred.

Это кланы Завулона; исчислено было 60 500 мужчин.

28 T he sons of Joseph after their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.

Потомки Иосифа по их кланам через Манассию и Ефрема:

29 T he sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir became the father of Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.

33 Z elophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 T hese are the families of Manasseh. Those who were numbered of them were fifty-two thousand seven hundred.

35 T hese are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthelahites; of Becher, the family of the Becherites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

37 T hese are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those who were numbered of them, thirty-two thousand five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families.

Это кланы Ефрема; исчислено было 32 500 мужчин. Это потомки Иосифа по их кланам.

38 T he sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

43 A ll the families of the Shuhamites, according to those who were numbered of them, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.

все они были родами шухамитов; исчислено было 64 400 мужчин.

44 T he sons of Asher after their families: of Imnah, the family of the Imnites; of Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Berites.

Потомки Асира по их кланам: через Имну – клан имнитов; через Ишви – клан ишвитов; через Берию – клан бериитов;

45 O f the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.

46 T he name of the daughter of Asher was Serah.

51 T hese are those who were numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred one thousand seven hundred thirty.

Всего израильтян было 601 730 мужчин.

52 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

Господь сказал Моисею:

53 “ To these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.

– Землю нужно разделить между родами по числу людей.

54 T o the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance. To everyone according to those who were numbered of him shall his inheritance be given.

Большему роду дай больший удел, а меньшему – меньший. Пусть каждый род получит надел по количеству исчисленных.

55 N otwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

Пусть земля будет распределяться по жребию. Они получат наделы по именам отцовских родов.

56 A ccording to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer.”

Пусть каждый надел распределяется по жребию между более и менее многочисленными.

57 T hese are those who were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

Левиты, исчисленные по их кланам: через Гершона – клан гершонитов; через Каафа – клан каафитов; через Мерари – клан мераритов.

58 T hese are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korahites. Kohath became the father of Amram.

Вот кланы левитов: клан ливнитов; клан хевронитов; клан махлитов; клан мушитов; клан корахитов. (Кааф был предком Амрама.

59 T he name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. She bore to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.

Жену Амрама звали Иохеведа, она была из потомков Левия и родилась среди левитов в Египте. Амраму она родила Аарона, Моисея и их сестру Мирьям.

60 T o Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Аарон был отцом Надава и Авиуда, Элеазара и Итамара.

61 N adab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before Yahweh.

Но Надав и Авиуд умерли, когда принесли Господу чуждый огонь.)

62 T hose who were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

Всех исчисленных мужчин-левитов от месяца и старше было 23 000 человек. Они не были исчислены с остальными израильтянами, потому что не получили своего надела.

63 T hese are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

Вот те, кого исчислили Моисей и священник Элеазар, когда они считали израильтян на равнинах Моава, у Иордана, напротив Иерихона.

64 B ut among these there was not a man of them who were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

Среди них не было никого, кто был исчислен Моисеем и священником Аароном, когда они считали израильтян в Синайской пустыне.

65 F or Yahweh had said of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” There was not a man left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Ведь Господь сказал им, что они непременно умрут в пустыне, и из них не осталось никого, кроме Халева, сына Иефонниина, и Иисуса, сына Навина.
