1 T he fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.

2 Y ahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.

Господь взирает с небес на людей, чтобы увидеть, есть ли понимающий, ищущий Бога.

3 T hey have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.

Все сбились с пути, все, как один, развратились; нет ни одного, кто делал бы добро, нет ни одного.

4 H ave all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Yahweh?

Неужели не опомнятся делающие зло – те, кто поедает мой народ, как хлеб, и Господа не призывает?

5 T here they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Там их охватит страх, потому что Бог на стороне праведных.

6 Y ou frustrate the plan of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge.

Вы осмеяли надежды нищих, но прибежище их – Господь.

7 O h that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

О, кто дал бы с Сиона спасение Израилю! Когда Господь восстановит Свой народ, пусть ликует Иаков и радуется Израиль!
