1 A nd having risen, the whole multitude of them did lead him to Pilate,

Тогава цялото множество техни <хора> стана и Го заведе при Пилата.

2 a nd began to accuse him, saying, `This one we found perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying himself to be Christ a king.'

И почнаха да Го обвиняват, казвайки: Намерихме този, че развращава народа ни, забранява да се дава данък на Кесаря, и казва за Себе Си, че е Христос Цар.

3 A nd Pilate questioned him, saying, `Thou art the king of the Jews?' and he answering him, said, `Thou dost say.'

А Пилат Го попита, думайки: Ти ли си Юдейският цар? А Той в отговор му каза: Ти <право> казваш.

4 A nd Pilate said unto the chief priests, and the multitude, `I find no fault in this man;'

И Пилат рече на главните свещеници и на народа: Аз не намирам никаква вина в Тоя човек.

5 a nd they were the more urgent, saying -- `He doth stir up the people, teaching throughout the whole of Judea -- having begun from Galilee -- unto this place.'

А те по-настойчиво казваха: Той вълнува людете, понеже поучава по цяла Юдея, като е почнал от Галилея <и е следвал> даже до тук.

6 A nd Pilate having heard of Galilee, questioned if the man is a Galilean,

А Пилат, като чу това, попита дали е галилеянин човекът.

7 a nd having known that he is from the jurisdiction of Herod, he sent him back unto Herod, he being also in Jerusalem in those days.

И като узна, че е от Иродовата област, изпрати Го до Ирода, който беше през тия дни в Ерусалим.

8 A nd Herod having seen Jesus did rejoice exceedingly, for he was wishing for a long to see him, because of hearing many things about him, and he was hoping some sign to see done by him,

А Ирод, като видя Исуса, много се зарадва, защото отдавна желаеше да Го види, понеже бе слушал за Него; и надяваше се да види някое знамение от Него.

9 a nd was questioning him in many words, and he answered him nothing.

И запитваше Го с много думи; но Той нищо не му отговори.

10 A nd the chief priests and the scribes stood vehemently accusing him,

А главните свещеници и книжниците стояха и силно Го обвиняваха.

11 a nd Herod with his soldiers having set him at nought, and having mocked, having put around him gorgeous apparel, did send him back to Pilate,

Но Ирод с войниците си, презирайки Го, след като Му се поруга; облече Го във великолепна дреха, и Го прати обратно на Пилата.

12 a nd both Pilate and Herod became friends on that day with one another, for they were before at enmity between themselves.

В същия ден Ирод и Пилат се сприятелиха помежду си; защото преди <това> враждуваха един против друг.

13 A nd Pilate having called together the chief priests, and the rulers, and the people,

Тогава Пилат свика главните свещеници, началници и народа, и рече им:

14 s aid unto them, `Ye brought to me this man as perverting the people, and lo, I before you having examined, found in this man no fault in those things ye bring forward against him;

Доведохте ми Тоя човек като един, който развращава людете; но, ето, аз Го разпитах пред вас, и не намерих в Тоя човек никаква вина относно онова, за което Го обвинявате.

15 n o, nor yet Herod, for I sent you back unto him, and lo, nothing worthy of death is having been done by him;

Нито пък Ирод< намерил>; защото Го е изпратил обратно до нас; и ето, Той не е сторил нищо, което заслужава смъртно< наказание>.

16 h aving chastised, therefore, I will release him,'

И тъй, като Го накажа, ще Го пусна.

17 f or it was necessary for him to release to them one at every feast,

18 a nd they cried out -- the whole multitude -- saying, `Away with this one, and release to us Barabbas,'

Но те всички едногласно изкрещяха, казвайки: Махни Този и пусни ни Варава.

19 w ho had been, because of a certain sedition made in the city, and murder, cast into prison.

(който, за някаква размирица, станала в града, и за убийство, бе хвърлен в тъмница).

20 P ilate again then -- wishing to release Jesus -- called to them,

И Пилат пак им извика, като желаеше да пусне Исуса.

21 b ut they were calling out, saying, `Crucify, crucify him.'

А те крещяха, казвайки: Разпни Го! разпни Го!

22 A nd he a third time said unto them, `Why, what evil did he? no cause of death did I find in him; having chastised him, then, I will release.'

А той трети път им каза: Че какво зло е сторил Той? Аз не намирам в Него нищо за <което да> заслужава смърт; и тъй, като Го накажа, ще Го пусна.

23 A nd they were pressing with loud voices asking him to be crucified, and their voices, and those of the chief priests, were prevailing,

Но те настояваха със силни гласове, искайки да бъде разпнат; и техните гласове надделяха.

24 a nd Pilate gave judgment for their request being done,

И Пилат реши да изпълни искането им:

25 a nd he released him who because of sedition and murder hath been cast into the prison, whom they were asking, and Jesus he gave up to their will.

пусна онзи, когото искаха, който за размирица и убийство бе хвърлен в тъмница; а Исус предаде на волята им.

26 A nd as they led him away, having taken hold on Simon, a certain Cyrenian, coming from the field, they put on him the cross, to bear behind Jesus.

И когато Го поведоха, хванаха някого си Симона киринеец, който се връщаше от нива, и сложиха на него кръста, за да го носи подир Исуса.

27 A nd there was following him a great multitude of the people, and of women, who also were beating themselves and lamenting him,

И след Него вървяха голямо множество от народ и от жени, които плачеха за Него.

28 a nd Jesus having turned unto them, said, `Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but for yourselves weep ye, and for your children;

А Исус се обърна към тях и рече: Дъщери ерусалимски, недейте плака за Мене, но плачете за себе си и за чадата си;

29 f or, lo, days do come, in which they shall say, Happy the barren, and wombs that did not bare, and paps that did not give suck;

защото, ето идат дни, когато ще рекат: Блажени неплодните, и утробите, които не са раждали, и съсците, които не са кърмили.

30 t hen they shall begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us, and to the hills, Cover us; --

Тогава ще почнат да казват на планините: Паднете върху нас, и на хълмовете: Покрийте ни.

31 f or, if in the green tree they do these things -- in the dry what may happen?'

Защото, ако правят това със суровото дърво, какво ще правят със сухото?

32 A nd there were also others -- two evil-doers -- with him, to be put to death;

И с него караха и други двама които бяха злодейци, за да ги погубят.

33 a nd when they came to the place that is called Skull, there they crucified him and the evil-doers, one on the right hand and one on the left.

И когато стигнаха на мястото наречено Лобно, там разпнаха Него и злодейците единия отдясно <Му>, а другия отляво.

34 A nd Jesus said, `Father, forgive them, for they have not known what they do;' and parting his garments they cast a lot.

А Исус каза: Отче, прости им, защото не знаят какво правят. И като разделиха дрехите Му, хвърлиха жребие за <тях>.

35 A nd the people were standing, looking on, and the rulers also were sneering with them, saying, `Others he saved, let him save himself, if this be the Christ, the choice one of God.'

И людете стояха та гледаха. Още и началниците Го ругаеха, казвайки: Други е избавил; нека избави Себе Си, ако Този е Божият Христос, Неговият Избраник.

36 A nd mocking him also were the soldiers, coming near and offering vinegar to him,

Тоже и войниците Му се подиграваха, като се приближаваха и Му поднасяха оцет, и казваха:

37 a nd saying, `If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.'

Ако си Юдейският Цар, избави Себе Си.

38 A nd there was also a superscription written over him, in letters of Greek, and Roman, and Hebrew, `This is the King of the Jews.'

А над Него имаше и надпис: Тоя е Юдейският Цар.

39 A nd one of the evil-doers who were hanged, was speaking evil of him, saying, `If thou be the Christ, save thyself and us.'

И един от обесените злодейци Го хулеше, казвайки: Нали си Ти Христос? Избави Себе Си и нас!

40 A nd the other answering, was rebuking him, saying, `Dost thou not even fear God, that thou art in the same judgment?

А другият в отговор го смъмра, като каза: Ни от Бога ли се не боиш ти, който си под същото осъждение?

41 a nd we indeed righteously, for things worthy of what we did we receive back, but this one did nothing out of place;'

И ние справедливо <сме осъдени>, защото получаваме заслуженото от това, което сме сторили; а Този не е сторил нищо лошо.

42 a nd he said to Jesus, `Remember me, lord, when thou mayest come in thy reign;'

И каза: Исусе, спомни си за мене, когато дойдеш в Царството Си.

43 a nd Jesus said to him, `Verily I say to thee, To-day with me thou shalt be in the paradise.'

А му рече: Истина ти казвам, днес ще бъдеш с Мене в рая.

44 A nd it was, as it were, the sixth hour, and darkness came over all the land till the ninth hour,

А беше вече около шестият час, и тъмнина покриваше цялата земя до деветия час,

45 a nd the sun was darkened, and the vail of the sanctuary was rent in the midst,

като потъмня слънцето; и завесата на храма се раздра през средата.

46 a nd having cried with a loud voice, Jesus said, `Father, to Thy hands I commit my spirit;' and these things having said, he breathed forth the spirit.

И Исус извика със силен глас и рече: Отче в Твоите ръце предавам духа Си. И това като рече, издъхна.

47 A nd the centurion having seen what was done, did glorify God, saying, `Really this man was righteous;'

И стотникът като видя станалото, прослави Бога, като каза: Наистина Този човек бе праведен.

48 a nd all the multitudes who were come together to this sight, beholding the things that came to pass, smiting their breasts did turn back;

А всичките множества, надошли на това зрелище, като виждаха какво стана, връщаха се биещи се в гърди.

49 a nd all his acquaintances stood afar off, and women who did follow him from Galilee, beholding these things.

А всичките Негови познайници и жените, които бяха дошли подир Него от Галилея, стояха надалеч и гледаха това.

50 A nd lo, a man, by name Joseph, being a counsellor, a man good and righteous,

И ето, един човек на име Иосиф, който беше съветник, човек добър и праведен,

51 - - he was not consenting to their counsel and deed -- from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who also himself was expecting the reign of God,

който не беше се съгласил с намерението и делото им, - от юдейския град Ариматея, човек, който ожидаше Божието царство, -

52 h e, having gone near to Pilate, asked the body of Jesus,

той отиде при Пилата и поиска Исусовото тяло.

53 a nd having taken it down, he wrapped it in fine linen, and placed it in a tomb hewn out, where no one was yet laid.

И като го сне, обви го с плащаница, и положи го в гроб изсечен в скала, гдето никой не бе още полаган.

54 A nd the day was a preparation, and sabbath was approaching,

И беше приготвителен ден, и съботата настъпваше.

55 a nd the women also who have come with him out of Galilee having followed after, beheld the tomb, and how his body was placed,

И жените, които бяха дошли с Него от Галилея, вървяха изподире и видяха гроба и как беше положено тялото Му.

56 a nd having turned back, they made ready spices and ointments, and on the sabbath, indeed, they rested, according to the command.

И като се върнаха, приготвиха аромати и миро; и в съботата си почиваха според заповедта.
