1 A nd it cometh to pass on the third day, that Esther putteth on royalty, and standeth in the inner-court of the house of the king over-against the house of the king, and the king is sitting on his royal throne, in the royal-house, over-against the opening of the house,

А на третия ден Естир се облече в царските си дрехи, и застана във вътрешния дом на царската къща, срещу царската къща; а царят седеше на царския си престол в царската къща, срещу входа на къщата.

2 a nd it cometh to pass, at the king's seeing Esther the queen standing in the court, she hath received grace in his eyes, and the king holdeth out to Esther the golden sceptre that in his hand, and Esther draweth near, and toucheth the top of the sceptre.

И като видя царят царица Естир, че стоеше в двора, тя придоби благоволението му; и царят простря към Естир златния скиптър, който държеше в ръката си; и Естир, се приближи та се допре до края на скиптъра.

3 A nd the king saith to her, `What -- to thee Esther, O queen? and what thy request? unto the half of the kingdom -- and it is given to thee.'

Тогава царят й каза: Що искаш, царице Естир? и каква е молбата ти? Даже до половината от царството ще ти се даде.

4 A nd Esther saith, `If unto the king good, the king doth come in, and Haman, to-day, unto the banquet that I have made for him;'

И Естир рече: Ако е угодно на царя, нека дойде царят, с Амана, днес на угощението, което съм приготвила за него.

5 a nd the king saith, `Haste ye Haman -- to do the word of Esther;' and the king cometh in, and Haman, unto the banquet that Esther hath made.

И царят рече: Карайте Амана да побърза, за да се направи каквото е казала Естир. Така царят и Аман дойдоха на угощението, което Естир бе приготвила.

6 A nd the king saith to Esther, during the banquet of wine, `What thy petition? and it is given to thee; and what thy request? unto the half of the kingdom -- and it is done.'

И като пиеха вино, царят каза на Естир: Какво е прошението ти? и ще се удовлетвори; и каква е молбата ти? и ще бъде изпълнена даже до половината от царството.

7 A nd Esther answereth and saith, `My petition and my request:

Тогава Естир в отговор рече: Прошението и молбата ми е <това:>

8 i f I have found grace in the eyes of the king, and if unto the king good, to give my petition, and to perform my request, the king doth come, and Haman, unto the banquet that I make for them, and to-morrow I do according to the word of the king.'

Ако съм придобила благоволението на царя, и ако е угодно на царя да удовлетвори прошението ми и да изпълни молбата ми, нека дойде царят с Амана, на угощението, което ще приготвя за тях, и утре ще направя според както царят е казал.

9 A nd Haman goeth forth on that day rejoicing and glad in heart, and at Haman's seeing Mordecai in the gate of the king, and he hath not risen nor moved for him, then is Haman full of fury against Mordecai.

В тоя ден Аман излезе радостен и с весело сърце; но когато видя Мардохея в царската порта, че не става, нито шава за него, Аман се изпълни с ярост против Мардохея.

10 A nd Haman forceth himself, and cometh in unto his house, and sendeth, and bringeth in his friends, and Zeresh his wife,

Обаче Аман се въздържа и отиде у дома си; тогава прати да повикат приятелите му и жена му Зареса,

11 a nd Haman recounteth to them the glory of his wealth, and the abundance of his sons, and all that with which the king made him great, and with which he lifted him up above the heads and servants of the king.

и Аман им приказа за славата на богатството си, и за многото си деца, и как царят го бе повишил и как го бе въздигнал над първенците и царските слуги.

12 A nd Haman saith, `Yea, Esther the queen brought none in with the king, unto the feast that she made, except myself, and also for to-morrow I am called to her, with the king,

Рече още Аман: Даже и царица Естир не покани другиго с царя на угощението, което направи, а само мене; още и утре съм поканен у нея с царя.

13 a nd all this is not profitable to me, during all the time that I am seeing Mordecai the Jew sitting in the gate of the king.'

Обаче всичко това не ме задоволява докле гледам юдеина Мардохей да седи при царската порта.

14 A nd Zeresh his wife saith to him, and all his friends, `Let them prepare a tree, in height fifty cubits, and in the morning speak to the king, and they hang Mordecai on it, and go thou in with the king unto the banquet rejoicing;' and the thing is good before Haman, and he prepareth the tree.

Тогава жена му Зареса и всичките му приятели му казаха: Нека се приготви една бесилка петдесет лакътя висока, и утре кажи на царя да бъде обесен Мардохей на нея; тогава иди радостен с царя на угощението. И като се хареса това на Амана, заповяда да се приготви бесилката.
