1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, `Go, ascend from this, thou and the people, whom thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I have sworn to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, To thy seed I give it,'

Рече още Господ на Моисея: Иди, дигни се от тук, ти и людете, които си извел из Египетската земя, та иди в земята за която се клех на Авраама, на Исаака и на Якова, като казах: На твоето потомство ще я дам.

2 ( and I have sent before thee a messenger, and have cast out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite,)

И ще изпратя пред тебе ангел, и ще изгоня ханаанеца, аморееца, хетееца, ферезееца, евееца и евусееца;

3 u nto a land flowing with milk and honey, for I do not go up in thy midst, for thou a stiff-necked people -- lest I consume thee in the way.'

<и той ще ви заведе> в земя, гдето текат мляко и мед; понеже Аз няма да вървя помежду ви, (защото сте коравовратни люде), да не би да ви довърша из пътя.

4 A nd the people hear this sad thing, and mourn; and none put his ornaments on him.

(И когато чуха людете това лошо известие, скърбиха; и никой не си тури украшенията.

5 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Say unto the sons of Israel, Ye a stiff-necked people; one moment -- I come up into thy midst, and have consumed thee; and now, put down thine ornaments from off thee, and I know what I do to thee;'

Защото Господ беше рекъл на Моисея: Кажи на израилтяните: Вие сте коравовратни люде; една минута ако бих дошъл помежду ви, бих ви довършил; за това, снемете си сега украшенията, та да видя какво ще сторя с вас.

6 a nd the sons of Israel take off their ornaments at mount Horeb.

И тъй израилтяните махнаха украшенията си, <като се отдалечиха> от планината Хорив.

7 A nd Moses taketh the tent, and hath stretched it out at the outside of the camp, afar off from the camp, and hath called it, `Tent of Meeting;' and it hath come to pass, every one seeking Jehovah goeth out unto the tent of meeting, which at the outside of the camp.

Още Моисей взе шатъра и го постави вън от стана, далеч от стана, и нарече го Шатър за Срещане, та всеки, който търсеше Господа излизаше при шатъра за срещане, който беше вън от стана.

8 A nd it hath come to pass, at the going out of Moses unto the tent, all the people rise, and have stood, each at the opening of his tent, and have looked expectingly after Moses, until his going into the tent.

И когато Моисей излизаше към шатъра, всичките люде станаха та стояха, всеки при входа на шатъра си, и гледаха след Моисея догде влезе в шатъра.

9 A nd it hath come to pass, at the going in of Moses to the tent, the pillar of the cloud cometh down, and hath stood at the opening of the tent, and He hath spoken with Moses;

И когато влезеше Моисей в шатъра, облачният стълб слизаше и заставаше на входа на шатъра, и <Господ> говореше с Моисея.

10 a nd all the people have seen the pillar of the cloud standing at the opening of the tent, and all the people have risen and bowed themselves, each at the opening of his tent.

И всичките люде гледаха облачния стълб, който стоеше на входа на шатъра, и всичките люде ставаха, всеки на входа на шатъра си, та се кланяха.

11 A nd Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses face unto face, as a man speaketh unto his friend; and he hath turned back unto the camp, and his minister Joshua, son of Nun, a youth, departeth not out of the tent.

И Господ говореше на Моисея лице с лице, както човек говори с приятеля си; а, като се връщаше <Моисей> в стана, слугата му, младежът Исус Навиевият син, не се отдалечаваше от шатъра).

12 A nd Moses saith unto Jehovah, `See, Thou art saying unto me, Bring up this people, and Thou hast not caused me to know whom Thou dost send with me; and Thou hast said, I have known thee by name, and also thou hast found grace in Mine eyes.

Моисей, прочее, рече Господу: Ето, Ти ми казваш: Води тия люде; но не си ми явил, кого ще изпратиш с мене; но пак Ти си ми рекъл: Тебе познавам по име, още си придобил Моето благоволение.

13 ` And now, if, I pray Thee, I have found grace in Thine eyes, cause me to know, I pray Thee, Thy way, and I know Thee, so that I find grace in Thine eyes, and consider that this nation Thy people;'

Сега, прочее, аз съм придобил Твоето благоволение, покажи ми моля Ти се, пътя Си, за да Те позная и придобия благоволението Ти; и разсъждай, че тоя народ Твои люде са.

14 a nd He saith, `My presence doth go, and I have given rest to thee.'

И <Господ> каза: Самият Аз ще вървя <с тебе>, и Аз ще те успокоя.

15 A nd he saith unto Him, `If Thy presence is not going -- take us not up from this;

А< Моисей> му рече: Ако Ти не дойдеш <с мене>, не ни извеждай от тука.

16 a nd in what is it known now, that I have found grace in Thine eyes -- I and Thy people -- is it not in Thy going with us? and we have been distinguished -- I and Thy people -- from all the people who on the face of the ground.'

Защото как ще се познае сега, че съм придобил Твоето благоволение, аз и Твоите люде? нали чрез Твоето дохождане с нас, така щото да се отделим аз и Твоите люде, от всичките люде, които са по лицето на земята.

17 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Even this thing which thou hast spoken I do; for thou hast found grace in Mine eyes, and I know thee by name.'

И Господ рече на Моисея: И това, което си рекъл, ще сторя, защото си придобил Моето благоволение и те познавам по име.

18 A nd he saith, `Shew me, I pray Thee, Thine honour;'

Тогава рече <Моисей:> Покажи ми, моля, славата Си.

19 a nd He saith, `I cause all My goodness to pass before thy face, and have called concerning the Name of Jehovah before thee, and favoured him whom I favour, and loved him whom I love.'

А <Господ му> каза: Аз ще сторя да мине пред тебе всичката Моя благост, и ще проглася пред тебе Името Иеова; и ще покажа милост към когото ще покажа, и ще пожаля когото ще пожаля.

20 H e saith also, `Thou art unable to see My face, for man doth not see Me, and live;'

Рече още: Не можеш видя лицето Ми; защото човек не може да Ме види и да остане жив.

21 J ehovah also saith, `Lo, a place by Me, and thou hast stood on the rock,

Рече още Господ: Ето място при Мене; ти ще застанеш на канарата;

22 a nd it hath come to pass, in the passing by of Mine honour, that I have set thee in a cleft of the rock, and spread out My hands over thee, until My passing by,

и когато минава славата Ми, ще те поставя в една пукнатина на канарата, и ще те прикрия с ръката Си догде премина;

23 a nd I have turned aside My hands, and thou hast seen My back parts, and My face is not seen.'

после ще дигна ръката Си, и ще Ме видиш изотдире; но Лицето Ми няма да се види.
