1 A nd much cattle hath been to the sons of Reuben and to the sons of Gad, very many; and they see the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, and lo, the place a place cattle;

А рувимците и гадците имаха твърде много добитък; и когато видяха Язирската земя и Галаадската земя, че, ето, мястото беше място за добитък,

2 a nd the sons of Gad, and the sons of Reuben, come in and speak unto Moses, and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the company, saying:

то гадците и рувимците дойдоха та говориха на Моисея, на свещеника Елеазара, и на първенците на обществото, казвайки:

3 ` Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon --

Атарот, Девон, Язир, Нимра, Есевон, Елеала, Севама, Нево и Веон,

4 t he land which Jehovah hath smitten before the company of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle.'

земята, която Господ порази пред Израилевото общество, е земя за добитък; а слугите ти имат добитък.

5 A nd they say, `If we have found grace in thine eyes, let this land be given to thy servants for a possession; cause us not to pass over the Jordan.'

За това, рекоха, ако сме придобили твоето благоволение, нека се даде тая земя на слугите ти за притежание; не ни привеждай през Иордан.

6 A nd Moses saith to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben, `Do your brethren go in to the battle, and ye -- do ye sit here?

А Моисей рече на гадците и на рувимците: Да идат ли братята ви на бой, а вие тук да седите?

7 a nd why discourage ye the heart of the sons of Israel from passing over unto the land which Jehovah hath given to them?

Защо обезсърчавате сърцата на израилтяните, та да не преминат в земята, която Господ им е дал?

8 ` Thus did your fathers in my sending them from Kadesh-Barnea to see the land;

Така сториха бащите ви, когато ги изпратих от Кадис-варни, за да видят земята;

9 a nd they go up unto the valley of Eshcol, and see the land, and discourage the heart of the sons of Israel so as not to go in unto the land which Jehovah hath given to them;

отидоха до долината Есхол, и, като видяха земята, обезсърчиха сърцата на израилтяните, та да не влязат в земята, която Господ им бе дал.

10 a nd the anger of Jehovah burneth in that day, and He sweareth, saying,

И в оня ден гневът на Господа пламна, и той се закле казвайки:

11 T hey do not see -- the men who are coming up out of Egypt from a son of twenty years and upward -- the ground which I have sworn to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, for they have not been fully after Me;

Ни един от ония мъже, които излязоха из Египет, от двадесет години и нагоре, няма да види земята, за която съм се клел на Авраама, Исаака и Якова, защото не Ме последваха напълно,

12 s ave Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua son of Nun, for they have been fully after Jehovah;

освен Халева син на Ефония Кенезов, и Исуса Навиевият син, защото те напълно последваха Господа.

13 a nd the anger of Jehovah burneth against Israel, and He causeth them to wander in the wilderness forty years, until the consumption of all the generation which is doing the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah.

Гневът на Господа пламна против Израиля, и Той ги направи да се скитат из пустинята за четиридесет години, догде се довърши изцяло онова поколение, което беше сторило зло пред Господа.

14 ` And lo, ye have risen in the stead of your fathers, an increase of men -- sinners, to add yet to the fury of the anger of Jehovah toward Israel;

И, ето, вместо бащите си, издигнахте се вие, прибавка на грешни човеци, и ще разпалите повече пламъка на Господния гняв против Израиля.

15 w hen ye turn back from after Him, then He hath added yet to leave him in the wilderness, and ye have done corruptly to all this people.'

Защото, ако вие се отвърнете от Него, Той ще остави тях още еднъж в пустинята; и така вие ще <станете причина да> погинат всички тия люде.

16 A nd they come nigh unto him, and say, `Folds for the flock we build for our cattle here, and cities for our infants;

Но те пристъпиха при <Моисея> и рекоха: Ще съградим тука огради за добитъка си и градове за челядите си;

17 a nd we -- we are armed hasting before the sons of Israel till that we have brought them in unto their place; and our infants have dwelt in the cities of defence because of the inhabitants of the land;

а сами ние сме готови да вървим въоръжени пред израилтяните, догде ги заведем до мястото им; и челядите ни ще седят в укрепените градове <в безопасност> от местните жители.

18 w e do not turn back unto our houses till the sons of Israel have inherited each his inheritance,

Няма да се върнем в домовете си догде израилтяните не наследят, всеки наследството си.

19 f or we do not inherit with them beyond the Jordan and yonder, for our inheritance hath come unto us beyond the Jordan at the -rising.'

Защото ние няма да наследим с тях отвъд Иордан и по-нататък, понеже нашето наследство ни се падна отсам Иордан на изток.

20 A nd Moses saith unto them, `If ye do this thing: if ye are armed before Jehovah for battle,

Тогава Моисей им рече: Ако направите това, ако отидете въоръжени на бой пред Господа,

21 a nd every armed one of you hath passed over the Jordan before Jehovah, till his dispossessing His enemies from before Him,

ако всички въоръжени преминете Иордан пред Господа, догде изгони Той враговете Си от пред Себе Си,

22 a nd the land hath been subdued before Jehovah -- then afterwards ye do turn back, and have been acquitted by Jehovah, and by Israel; and this land hath been to you for a possession before Jehovah.

и земята се завладее пред Господа, а подир това се върнете, тогава ще бъдете невинни пред Господа и пред Израиля, и ще имате тая земя за притежание пред Господа.

23 ` And if ye do not so, lo, ye have sinned against Jehovah, and know ye your sin, that it doth find you;

Но ако не направите така, ето, ще съгрешите пред Господа; и да знаете, че грехът ви ще ви намери.

24 b uild for yourselves cities for your infants, and folds for your flock, and that which is going out from your mouth do ye.'

Съградете градове за челядите си и огради за овците си, и сторете това, което излезе из устата ви.

25 A nd the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben speak unto Moses, saying, `Thy servants do as my lord is commanding;

И гадците и рувимците говориха на Моисея, казвайки: Слугите ти ще сторят, както господарят ни заповяда.

26 o ur infants, our wives, our cattle, and all our beasts, are there in cities of Gilead,

Децата ни, жените ни, стадата ни и всичкият ни добитък ще останат тук в галаадските градове;

27 a nd thy servants pass over, every armed one of the host, before Jehovah, to battle, as my lord is saying.'

а слугите ти, всички въоръжени и опълчени, ще отидат пред Господа на бой, както господарят ни каза.

28 A nd Moses commandeth concerning them Eleazar the priest, and Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel;

Тогава Моисей даде поръчка за тях на свещеника Елеазара, на Исуса Навина, и на началниците на бащините <домове> от племената на израилтяните.

29 a nd Moses saith unto them, `If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben pass over with you the Jordan, every one armed for battle, before Jehovah, and the land hath been subdued before you, then ye have given to them the land of Gilead for a possession;

Моисей им рече: Ако гадците и рувимците преминат с вас Иордан, всички въоръжени за бой пред Господа, и се завладее земята пред вас, тогава ще им дадете Галаадската земя за притежание.

30 a nd if they do not pass over armed with you, then they have possessions in your midst in the land of Canaan.'

Но ако не щат да преминат с вас въоръжени, тогава да вземат наследство между вас в Ханаанската земя.

31 A nd the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben answer, saying, `That which Jehovah hath spoken unto thy servants -- so we do;

И гадците и рувимците в отговор рекоха: Както рече Господ на слугите ти, така ще сторим.

32 w e -- we pass over armed before Jehovah the land of Canaan, and with us the possession of our inheritance beyond the Jordan.'

Ние ще заминем въоръжени пред Господа в Ханаанската земя, за да притежаваме наследството си оттатък {На изток от.} Иордан.

33 A nd Moses giveth to them, to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Reuben, and to the half of the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land by its cities, in the borders, the cities of the land round about.

И тъй, Моисей им даде, <то ест>, на гадците, на рувимците и на половината от племето на Иосифовия син Манасия, царството на аморейския цар Сион и царството на васанския цар Ог, земята заедно с градовете в пределите й, градовете на околната земя.

34 A nd the sons of Gad build Dihon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,

И гадците съградиха Девон, Атарот, Ароир,

35 a nd Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,

Атротсофан, Язир, Иогвея,

36 a nd Beth-Nimrah, and Beth-Haran, cities of defence, and sheepfolds.

Ветнимра и Ветаран, укрепени градове и огради за овци.

37 A nd the sons of Reuben have build Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,

А рувимците съградиха Есевон, Елеала, Кириатаим,

38 a nd Nebo, and Baal-Meon (changed in name), and Shibmah, and they call by names the names of the cities which they have built.

Нево и Ваалмеон (с променени имена) и Севама; и преименуваха градовете, които съградиха.

39 A nd sons of Machir son of Manasseh go to Gilead, and capture it, and dispossess the Amorite, who in it;

И потомците на Манасиевия син Махир отидоха в Галаад, завладяха го и изпъдиха аморейците, които бяха в него.

40 a nd Moses giveth Gilead to Machir son of Manasseh, and he dwelleth in it.

За това Моисей даде Галаад на Махира Манасиевия син, и той се засели в него.

41 A nd Jair son of Manasseh hath gone and captureth their towns, and calleth them `Towns of Jair;'

А Манасиевият син Яир отиде та завладя градовете му и ги наименува Авот-Яир {Т.е., Яирови паланки.}.

42 a nd Nobah hath gone and captureth Kenath, and its villages, and calleth it Nobah, by his own name.

И Нова отиде та превзе Кенат и селата му и го наименува Нова по своето име.
