1 A nd there is a man of the hill-country of Ephraim, and his name Micah,

Имаше един човек от Ефремовата хълмиста земя на име Михей.

2 a nd he saith to his mother, `The eleven hundred silverlings which have been taken of thine, and thou hast sworn, and also spoken in mine ears; lo, the silver with me, I have taken it;' and his mother saith, `Blessed my son of Jehovah.'

Той каза на майка си: Хилядата и сто сребърника, които ти бяха отнети, за които ти и прокълна, още изговори <клетвата> като слушах аз, - ето, среброто е у мене; аз го взех. А майка му рече: Благословен да е моят син от Господа.

3 A nd he giveth back the eleven hundred silverlings to his mother, and his mother saith, `I had certainly sanctified the silver to Jehovah, from my hand, for my son, to make a graven image, and a molten image; and now, I give it back to thee.'

И като върна хилядата и сто сребърника на майка си, майка му каза: Действително бях посветила от ръката си среброто Господу за сина ми, за да направи изваян идол и леян кумир; и тъй, сега ще го върна на тебе.

4 A nd he giveth back the money to his mother, and his mother taketh two hundred silverlings, and giveth them to a refiner, and he maketh them a graven image, and a molten image, and it is in the house of Micah.

Но той върна среброто на майка си; затова майка му взе двеста сребърника и даде ги на златаря, който направи от тях изваян идол и леян кумир; и те бяха <поставени> в дома на Михея.

5 A s to the man Micah, he hath a house of gods, and he maketh an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrateth the hand of one of his sons, and he is to him for a priest;

И тоя човек Михей, като имаше капище за богове, направи ефод и домашни идоли, и посвети един от синовете си, който му стана свещеник.

6 i n those days there is no king in Israel, each that which is right in his own eyes doth.

В ония дни нямаше цар в Израиля; всеки правеше каквото му се виждаше угодно.

7 A nd there is a young man of Beth-Lehem-Judah, of the family of Judah, and he a Levite, and he a sojourner there.

И имаше един момък от Витлеем Юдов, <град> на Юдовите семейства, който беше левитин, и е бил там пришелец.

8 A nd the man goeth out of the city, out of Beth-Lehem-Judah, to sojourn where he doth find, and cometh to the hill-country of Ephraim, unto the house of Micah, to work his way.

Тоя човек замина от града, от Витлеем Юдов, за да пришелствува, гдето намери <място>, и като пътуваше, дойде до Михеевата къща в Ефремовата хълмиста земя.

9 A nd Micah saith to him, `Whence comest thou?' and he saith unto him, `A Levite I, of Beth-Lehem-Judah, and I am going to sojourn where I do find.'

И Михей му каза: От где идеш? А той му рече: Аз съм левитин, от Витлеем Юдов, и отивам да пришелствувам, гдето намеря <място>.

10 A nd Micah saith to him, `Dwell with me, and be to me for a father and for a priest, and I give to thee ten silverlings for the days, and a suit of garments, and thy sustenance;' and the Levite goeth.

И Михей му каза: Седи у мене и стани ми отец и свещеник; и аз ще ти давам по десет сребърника на годината, една премяна дрехи и храната ти. И тъй, левитинът влезе у него.

11 A nd the Levite is willing to dwell with the man, and the young man is to him as one of his sons.

И левитинът беше благодарен да седи у човека, и тоя момък му стана като един от синовете му.

12 A nd Micah consecrateth the hand of the Levite, and the young man is to him for a priest, and he is in the house of Micah,

И Михей посвети левитина и момъкът му стана свещеник; и остана в Михеевата къща.

13 a nd Micah saith, `Now I have known that Jehovah doth good to me, for the Levite hath been to me for a priest.'

Тогава каза Михей: сега зная, че Господ ще ми стори добро, защото имам левитин за свещеник.
