1 A nd all the people of Judah take Uzziah (and he a son of sixteen years), and cause him to reign instead of his father Amaziah.

А всичките Юдови люде взеха Озия {Или, Азария.}, който бе на шестнадесет години, та го направиха цар вместо баща му Амасия.

2 H e hath built Eloth, and restoreth it to Judah after the king's lying with his fathers.

Той съгради Елот и го възвърна на Юда след като <баща му> царят заспа с бащите си.

3 A son of sixteen years Uzziah in his reigning, and fifty and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

Озия беше шестнадесет години на възраст, когато се възцари, и царува петдесет и две години в Ерусалим; и името на майка му бе Ехолия, от Ерусалим.

4 A nd he doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Amaziah his father did,

Той върши това, което бе право пред Господа, напълно според както беше сторил баща му Амасия.

5 a nd he is as one seeking God in the days of Zechariah who hath understanding in visions of God: and in the days of his seeking Jehovah, God hath caused him to prosper.

И търсеше Бога в дните на Захария, който разбираше Божиите видения; и до когато търсеше Господа, Бог му даваше успех.

6 A nd he goeth forth, and fighteth with the Philistines, and breaketh down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod, and buildeth cities about Ashdod, and among the Philistines.

Той излезе та воюва против филистимците, и събори стената на Гет, стената на Явни, и стената на Азот, и съгради градове в азотската <околност> и между филистимците.

7 A nd God helpeth him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians who are dwelling in Gur-Baal and the Mehunim.

И Бог му помогна против филистимците, и против арабите, които живееха в Гур-ваал, и против маонците.

8 A nd the Ammonites give a present to Uzziah, and his name goeth unto the entering in of Egypt, for he strengthened himself greatly.

И амонците даваха подаръци на Озия; и името му се прочу дори до входа на Египет, защото стана премного силен.

9 A nd Uzziah buildeth towers in Jerusalem, by the gate of the corner, and by the gate of the valley, and by the angle, and strengtheneth them;

Озия съгради и кули в Ерусалим, върху портата на ъгъла, върху портата на долината и върху ъгъла <на стената>, и ги укрепи.

10 a nd he buildeth towers in the wilderness, and diggeth many wells, for he had much cattle, both in the low country and in the plain, husbandmen and vine-dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel; for he was a lover of the ground.

Съгради още кули в пустинята, и изкопа много кладенци, защото имаше много добитък и по ниските места и по поляната, <имаше и> орачи и лозари в планините и на Кармил; защото обичаше земеделието.

11 A nd Uzziah hath a force, making war, going forth to the host, by troops, in the number of their reckoning by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Masseiah the officer, by the hand of Hananiah of the heads of the king.

При това, Озия имаше войска от военни мъже, които излизаха на война по полкове, според числото им, което се преброи от секретаря Еиил и настоятеля Маасия, под ръководството на Анания, един от царските военачалници.

12 T he whole number of heads of the fathers of the mighty ones of valour two thousand and six hundred;

Цялото число на началниците на бащините <домове>, на силните и храбри мъже, беше две хиляди и шестстотин.

13 a nd by their hand the force of the host, three hundred thousand, and seven thousand, and five hundred warriors, with mighty power to give help to the king against the enemy.

Под тяхна ръка имаше военна сила от триста и седем хиляди и петстотин души, които се биеха с голямо юначество, за да помагат на царя против неприятелите.

14 A nd Uzziah prepareth for them, for all the host, shields, and spears, and helmets, and coats of mail, and bows, even to stones of the slings.

Озия приготви за тях, за цялата войска, щитове и копия, шлемове и брони, лъкове и камъни за прашки.

15 A nd he maketh in Jerusalem inventions -- a device of an inventor -- to be on the towers, and on the corners, to shoot with arrows and with great stones, and his name goeth out unto a distance, for he hath been wonderfully helped till that he hath been strong.

И в Ерусалим направи машини, изобретени от изкусни мъже, да бъдат <поставени> на кулите и на крепостите при ъглите, за хвърляне на стрели и на големи камъни. И името му се прочу на далеч; защото му се помагаше чудно, догдето стана силен.

16 A nd at his being strong his heart hath been high unto destruction, and he trespasseth against Jehovah his God, and goeth in unto the temple of Jehovah to make perfume upon the altar of perfume.

Но, когато стана силен, сърцето му се надигна та се отдаде на поквара; и извърши престъпление против Господа своя Бог, като влезе в Господния храм за да покади върху кадилния олтар.

17 A nd Azariah the priest goeth in after him, and with him priests of Jehovah eighty, sons of valour,

А свещеник Азария влезе подире му, и с него осемдесет Господни свещеници, храбри мъже;

18 a nd they stand up against Uzziah the king, and say to him, `Not for thee, O Uzziah, to make perfume to Jehovah, but for priests, sons of Aaron, who are sanctified to make perfume; go forth from the sanctuary, for thou hast trespassed, and not to thee for honour from Jehovah God.'

и възпротивиха се на цар Озия, и му рекоха: Не принадлежи на тебе, Озие, да кадиш Господу, но на свещениците, Аароновите потомци, които са посветени, за да кадят; излез из светилището, защото си извършил престъпление, което не ще ти бъде за почит от Господа Бога.

19 A nd Uzziah is wroth, and in his hand a censer to make perfume, and in his being wroth with the priests -- the leprosy hath risen in his forehead, before the priests, in the house of Jehovah, from beside the altar of perfume.

А Озия, който държеше в ръката си кадилница, за да кади, разяри се; и като се разяри на свещениците, проказата му избухна на челото му пред свещениците в Господния дом, близо при кадилния олтар.

20 A nd Azariah the head priest looketh unto him, and all the priests, and lo, he leprous in his forehead, and they hasten him thence, and also he himself hath hastened to go out, for Jehovah hath plagued him.

И първосвещеник Азария и всичките свещеници погледнаха на него, и, ето, бе прокажен на челото си; и побързаха да го извадят от там; и даже сам той побърза да излезе, защото Господ го беше поразил.

21 A nd Uzziah the king is a leper unto the day of his death, and inhabiteth a separate house -- a leper, for he hath been cut off from the house of Jehovah, and Jotham his son over the house of the king, judging the people of the land.

И цар Озия остана прокажен до деня на смъртта си; и живееше в отделна къща като прокажен, понеже беше отлъчен от Господния дом; а син му Иотам бе над царския дом и съдеше людете на земята.

22 A nd the rest of the matters of Uzziah, the first and the last, hath Isaiah son of Amoz the prophet written;

А останалите дела на Озия, първите и последните, написа пророк Исаия, Амосовият син.

23 a nd Uzziah lieth with his fathers, and they bury him with his fathers, in the field of the burying-place that the kings have, for they said, `He a leper;' and reign doth Jotham his son in his stead.

И Озия заспа с бащите си, и погребаха го с бащите му в оградата на царските гробища, защото рекоха: Прокажен е. И вместо него се възцари син му Иотам.
